Are there no cosplay talks?

I've no idea how that posted twice! :s lol

I didn't enter last year as I hadn't made all of my cosplay but this year I've made one virtually from scratch so I'm wondering how you enter? I remember something from previous years of having to sign up before the event? Anyone know what's happening for it this year? Thanks :)

Excellent statement Showmasters! I only attended on Sunday due to work on Saturday (pre-paid early bird tickets though) & I must admit after reading what everyone was saying on Saturday I was worried! But they pulled it together & even though there must have been 200+ people in front of us in the queue at 8.40, once the doors were opened we were in within 5 minutes! We had an outstanding day & never encountered a single hiccup. :dance:Job well done guys! We will definitely be attending next year, both days this time, & I am over the moon at the promise of bigger guests One piece of advice would be to utilise every bit of available space the best you can. Great that you're going to use the rooms either side of the hall for shoots instead of the lobby! I'd maybe use that space in the lobby where the shoots were for whatever car you get for next year. It was getting quite crowded around Bumblebee so putting it out of the way instead of in the main hall would maybe work better? Handing people a map of some sort as they walk in may be a good idea too although I know that the team is always on hand if you can't find anything. Once again I have to say I am already super excited for next year and I look forward to the first guest announcements!

Defo bring back daniel portman just to stand there & look gorgeous all day! i'll be one happy bunny that's for sure! I'd read the topics near the bottom (how to get the most of the day & was the popularity underestimated) before you decide any further. It would appear today has been manic & queues ridiculous. It seems it would pay to be there before 9am for early bird tickets. As for other questions, lots of people seem to take children so I'm sure that will be fine. Talk tickets are free & available near talk area apparently. & as for cosplay there's a topic about that too that says you can still sign up on the day.

Feeling a little better now! Phew! But still... tomorrow is another day so I won't be putting all my eggs in one basket just yet! :/

Thanks I'm aiming to get there 8.45ish so I'm crossing everything I can right now in the hope that it's not as crazy as today!

What's it been like for the pre-paid early bird tickets? I have 2 for tomorrow & tbf up until now i was ridiculously excited, now i'm not so sure :/ surely showmasters will have been given the capacity & therefore will have been able to judge by how many they'd already sold what it was gonna be like today... I'm really not holding out much hope that i'll manage to meet anyone i want to tomorrow or be able to attend any talks!! :/

This is my first con, (ridiculously excited that one has landed practically on my doorstep! Eeeeee! ) so I don't quite know how things work. I've noticed on a few forums that people have mentioned sitting having lunch in quiet areas etc & I was wondering if it's wise to bring lunch with you or if there'll be anywhere in the arena selling snacks etc? Just coz I was dragged to a Wedding Fair at Metro Arena by a friend a few weeks ago & they had a bistro set up in the corner selling sandwiches, pizza & drinks. Just don't wanna miss anything if I don't bring food and have to nip out for a couple of sandwiches as I am ruled by my stomach haha!

No I mean the photoshoot with John Rhys Davies lol got a ticket for that but quite fancy going to the Carl Weathers talk but they both start at 12.15 on Sunday so hoping they'll let me through the shoot 1st haha
