  1. Iain Glen wasn't very talkative when I met him either, possibly because he was one of the busier guests and didn't have a great deal of time. Still very polite and pleasant though.

I decided against meeting Lew Temple in the end and I really regret that now because everyone has said how lovely he was. Seems very friendly and chatty.

  2. I'd agree that there aren't really any "big-name" guests announced for CM20 yet but I'd also point out that there's still a while to go before they'll be done announcing guests. I'd expect a lot more announcements after they've got LFCC Winter sorted tbh - that's obviously going to be the priority right now.

  3. Didn't even realise this thread was here so I may as well do this now.

I'm Megan, I'm 18 and LFCC 2013 was my first con (a week after my 18th birthday...felt like a coming of age kinda thing!) I currently live in a crappy rural town near Blackpool but I'll be moving to either Manchester or Liverpool in September to start university. I'm obsessed with film and television in general, but geek-wise my main obsessions and priorities tend to change; currently it's Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Doctor Who and Hannibal. Favourite films of all time can be pretty typical; The Thing, Alien(s), Terminator, Star Wars, LOTR etc, whilst my favourite directors are Edgar Wright, Quentin Tarantino (cliche but he's just so brilliant) and Tomas Alfredson. Oh, and I'm a casual gamer somewhat head over heels with Skyrim.

I can't attend WLFCC because I'll be starting uni a couple of weeks before, but I'm hoping to attend CM20 & I can't wait. :D

  4. I saw it at the midnight screening. Not that great an atmosphere though, as me and my friend were literally the only two people in the cinema. And, if I'm honest, I was disappointed, but I love Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead so so much I guess it was never going to live up to expectations. I enjoyed it, but for me it's the weakest of the three by miles.

  5. I only went on the Sunday largely because it was my first time at a con and I was going with two other newbies as well. We just wanted the least stressful experience possible I think. It was pretty relaxed, and I'd definitely recommend those sick of rushing around to just stick to the Sunday, though I'd like to experience Saturday just for the buzz and arguably better atmosphere I think.
