Sal, you are spot on. Kudos to the folk who ran this event for their ambition and tenacity. It was wonderful to see this line up of guests in London, and I think the Excel worked well apart from the heat and lack of seats. The very worst was Stage B organisation and in particular the lack of clearing of the room after each talk. A firm announcement of the rules at the beginning of each talk would have deflected the anger of those who didn't want to leave the front seats they'd been in for goodness knows how long, and prevented the anger of those who had queued for up to 2 hours before the talk they really wanted to see and found themselves at the back of the room and struggling to see anything. Jason Joiner informed me when I queued up for my one blue ticket today (I only wanted to see one talk each day, and wanted to leave plenty for other people rather than grabbing the whole selection) that Stage B would be cleared after each talk. I can now inform him that it certainly wasn't - at least for the last 2 days. Jason, if you had visited once in a while to check that would have been nice. The staff did not feel they could enforce the rules, which is unlike any other Star Trek event I have been to. The museum has been criticized. I don't agree with these criticisms - fans who are also collectors gave generously of their own precious pieces to form a display. It was not meant to be an all encompassing history of Star Trek and should not be compared with the Star Trek Adventure which was run by Paramount when they still owned all the stuff. Thank you for putting on this show which was a pleasant weekend for me, which I was able to share with friends, and was all the better because I limited my expectations and enjoyed the few things I did rather than try and do everything.
