  1. Every time Sheppard pulls? Must be about seven times every episode seems that way anyway!
  2. It's actually kind of embarrassing. I have OCD and it's really mild so most of the time it doesn't affect my life, but there are some situations where it's really intensified, and the last time I went to the drinks reception it was just one of those situations. Like, just too crowded and pressed together which is bearable if its seated, but not if we're all just crammed around a table, and basically I had a bit of a panic attack I ended up having to leave and then miss the party as well, which I was bummed about because I love the parties. So yeah, best if I steer clear.
  3. AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Ok, now I can die happy. This literally could not have been better!!!!!! YAY!!!!
  4. I'm getting gold but I probably won't be going to the friday drinks reception anyway so we'll walk the long trek down the corridor to the party together
  5. I might join you for that! I'm going up friday and coming home sunday. I'm not much of a clubber but I'm one hell of a drinker! I think it's unfair to say not enough effort is put into Glasgow, I'm sure SM do the best they can, and it does get bigger every year. Also, we are all very aware that different guests are important for different people. Personally I wasn't interested in meeting Gillian because that's not the type of guest I go for, but if there was just one guest I wanted to see then I'd either decide it wasn't worth it and be pretty miffed about it for a while, or I'd just accept that I'd have to spend a lot of time and money on it. It's a very personal choice that you need to make, but you must remember that it isn't SM's fault that you have to make a tough call - they will never be able to make everyone happy.
  6. Still got my fingers crossed for Neil Jackson. That said, any announcement will be great, I have such a huge list I wanna meet!!!!
  7. I wouldn't call it last minute, there's still two months to go. Sometimes life just doesn't go your way. You have to make the call to either put up with the hassle of travelling and hanging around, or miss out on this one. Don't think there's any magic answer to this one.
  8. I think this is a really good attitude! I will say this, when I was a kid I would never have associated a chainsaw with anything other than my dad cutting down trees in the garden! Also I was quite a naive kid, so if someone was wearing a mask I probably would have just thought there was something wrong with their face, so wouldn't have said anything! But I guess at cons the kids realise that people are dressed up - they aren't all as stupid as me!!!
  9. I guess I'd probs pay that in a bar in the city, but I tend to hang out at the cheap places! I was at a con club yesterday - I know where to get the cheap drinks! I guess I'll just have to suck it up and splash out at the parties. Hopefully if there's a pub in walking distance I can go out for lunch.
  10. @GRjingo I agree with Brian, most characters are scary because of the way they act, (as well as the scary music in the background ) I don't think they look that scary in a totally non-scary situation... such as at a crowded con in the middle of the day. I mean, parents take their kids to the zombie walk in my local city and they never get scared even though the costumes are really realistic.
  11. Dude, that's insane! Yesterday I got a lager and two JDs for £5! Definitely bringing my own!! Does anyone know if there any good pubs/bars locally?
  12. I'm going to book a double by myself, I don't have such luxury at home ooo I hoe they have memory foam mattresses, easily pleased Same, I'm really looking forward to it. I'm going to sleep sideways across the bed. just. because. i. can.
  13. Answer: Big pockets. Bottle of bourbon in one, bottle of vodka in the other. You're set to 'buy' a few rounds! I assumed they'd be a bit steep, I'll bring some of my own, party in my room? Now there's an offer I can't refuse
