  1. I had a dream last night that Yunjin Kim was announced. When I got up this morning I had to come here to check, because I wasn't sure if it had been a dream or not! :)
  2. We do have mai tais in 'the room'. And limbo! Honestly, it's a fun place to hang and wait for the announcements (or at least that's what Jacob's crazy video told me!)
  3. I guess, erm ... M. C. Gainey :) He'd be a very friendly guest, haha!
  4. Oh no! I'm just rubbish at guessing! I veer between extreme optimism and pessimism over this thing; it's quite tiring! I'll be okay in the room if you're there Lauren! We'll devise evil plans :)
  5. I'm so torn! This means they'll definitely be filming when I'm in Hawaii (one month one day to go!) but less chance of main stars for Lockdown You can't have it all, I guess!
  6. A - Josh Holloway B - Elizabeth Mitchell C - Nestor Carbonell (maybe he's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline) D - Evangeline Lilly. Mine aren't realistic are they? Whooops!
  7. Three more A,B & C guests in the end it will be a good line up jason That's excellent news, thanks. I thought you wouldn't be able to disclose any info, but I thought, 'may as well ask'. Lol :)
  8. Three more 'supporting' guests, or just ... three more? I look forward to discovering what's in store.
  9. I guess Yemi is pretty cool. What makes me most pleased though are the words 'next batch' :)
  10. As far as Freighties go, I would be more interested in Marsha Thomason than the new four, although I would like to meet Jeremy Davies. I'm far more interested in the main cast: our original Losties, Juliet, Ben and (of course) Desmond, though. As others have said, perhaps at a future con, but not this one.
  11. I guess I'll go with 21st February. Though I hope that we get announcements on more than one of these dates! :)
  12. I saw it last week as part of a bumper geek day my friends and I had (it was the Lost S4 premiere after all!) and I loved it. I get motion sick quite easily, and I did feel quite ill, but I was so engrossed that I couldn't move! I jumped at loads of stuff too, it wasn't overly predictable I don't think. The characters weren't exactly the most complex in the world, but I think the film did a good job of making me care about them so I didn't notice that they were sort of 2D until afterwards. Meanwhile, my housemate doesn't really care about the film, but is just obsessed by the genius of the marketing campaign, lol.
  13. Hmm ... I'm not sure to go as: the 1st one is the same night as us gold pass people will be having our cocktail party right? I might give the costumes a miss if that's the case! However, I'm having a Hawaiian themed birthday party a couple of weeks from now, so I can use my costume again at Lockdown! (That means I can justify spending more money on it! LOL) Thanks for the text Lauren *hugs*
  14. Though I am sure the guests being worked on will be great, and that everything is going to work out ... I'm still feeling somewhat uneasy. When I've voiced my concerns in the past, various people have said that I shouldn't be worried unless we didn't have any new guests on the other side of Valentine's Day well, the clock's ticking Showmasters! Seriously though, I imagine that everything is a bit crazy for the actors this week - they might be going back to work after all. So I doubt signing for conventions is at the front of anyone's mind right now. I'm trying to learn patience, really I am!
  15. That would be funny. Thanks for keeping us informed Jason LMAO - what an appropriate response, Lauren! I'm really excited to see what you guys have in store. Thanks for the update. Here's to hoping there will be something concrete soon!
  16. Oh the suspense is killing me already! Great news. And this seems to confirm that the guests being worked on are currently on the show, which is very exciting IMO!
  17. Well this is me and my friends who are going. On the left is Sam, in the middle is me, and on the right is Joey (who is maybe coming if some more guests get announced - she loves Collectormania though). (I hope this picture isn't too big! D: Anyways, yes that's us!
  18. Aww, me too Lauren: she's our girl right?! I'm so looking forward to seeing what (and ahem, who) she'll be doing in S4! It's lovely reading about you all - seems like there's a really cool range of people going! :)
  19. Thanks for the update Jason, looking forward to finding out who the new guests are :)
  20. Yes, same here. I have friends interested, but who won't go unless there's a couple more guests announced. But I daresay Showmasters can't get guests without the tickets selling. Bit of a Catch22. That is the dilemma faced by any event organiser. Guests need to be announced to secure ticket sales, not IMHO the other way round - the risk that you might not cover costs is a real one - speculation of this kind doesn't help the situation. I don't really understand what you're getting at here. The theory here (and I'm not party to Showmasters meetings, so it's just a guess) is that, as an event organiser, you have to risk some cash to sign up the first guests. You then hope that you sell enough tickets to cover the cost of those guests and you use your initial outlay to sign the next guests. The problem (and it might not be the problem in this case) is that if you don't sell enough tickets to cover the first guests, do you risk more of your money to sign further guests anyway and hope that people respond better to those. It means that you have to consider increasing your personal risk. To be honest, Showmasters/Massive seem pretty committed to bringing their vision of this kind of weekend event to the fans and so I can imagine they'd be more comfortable taking that risk, which is what makes me think that the issue lies elsewhere. If I was a betting man, I would suggest the problem is that Lost is still in post-production for the latest series (because it filmed/aired later than other shows), meaning actors might have to be available for things like voice-over work and are unable to commit to events like this until short notice. Lost filmed at the same time as other shows, it was just airing later with the intention of having more ready to air come February. Pre-strike plans, obviously. All I was saying originally, is that I suspected that they needed more tickets to sell in order to get more guests and tickets weren't selling because of the lack of guests i.e no one is in a good position really. I didn't get what lone gunman said had to do with me, and who the 'speculation of this kind doesn't help the situation' was directed at. You speculating that the organisers can't get guests without ticket sales is what I was referring to. That sort of comment is what fuels rumours like "will the event go ahead" etc. Thank you to chris_mk for explaining better what I was driving at. Organisers have to take a punt that their offering to the market will attract ticket sales - not vice versa. All I was trying to get at was that maybe everyone is in an awkward position right now, and it'll take some time. I'm not the only person who has been speculating along that line. No one has made the jump to 'will the event go ahead?' possibly because it's pretty clear that it will. You seem to be under the impression that my comment was derogatory towards showmasters, and that was not the case.
  21. Filming may have ended at roughly the same time, but as I said in my post, the later air-date gives them more time for Post Production, i.e. voice over work. True. We know the first four episodes have been sent out in screener form to some media outlets though. With the show airing next week, that must mean they'll be almost done on the back four too. Hopefully if that's the reason guests haven't been able to commit, it'll be out of the way in the very near future, if it isn't already.
