  1. I think I'd prefer one Heroes con a year so my bank balance doesn't take too much of a battering (normally I only do the LFCC, but thanks to the various Heroes cast member appearances, I've done three conventions in the space of as many months *gulp*). Having said that, I think I'm going to have to go...!

  2. wow what a great pic. was this taken on the saturday? i think i saw u in the que for this pic. i reconised you from c12 i think

Hee. That was a fun pic. Especially the hugging part. *guh* It was indeed taken on the Sat. And yes, I was at C12 - well spotted. Going to Eclipse too, so if you're there and see me, come say hi!

  3. I loved your outfit. I kept getting this dreadful urge to bump into you and say, "Whooops, sorry, your Eminence..." Yes, I am weird.

The Star Wars turnout was really good this time. There was one guy getting his photo taken with two stormtroopers and he'd got down on his knees and got them to handcuff him and everything! Awesome. Oh, and I liked Frank the Donnie Darko rabbit, although he looked so lonely and quiet! I really wanted to give him a hug. Poor solitary bunny.

  4. I don't even want to think about how much money I spent, what with hotels and travel and whatnot, hee, but it was all good.

    Lessee...

    Earlybird entry x 2

    Heroes 2008 calendar

Heroes helix T-shirt (I hadn't thought all that much of the Heroes T-shirts until I saw that one)

Adrian Pasdar's autograph (twice - I just wanted another excuse to see him. Yes, I am a total saddo)

    Adrian's photo session

    Malcolm McDowell's autograph

    Lance Henriksen's autograph

    Autograph protectors

I nearly bought a coat from that leather coat stall, but fortunately it was too long...

  5. Heehee, I don't know whether to be disappointed or relieved that I didn't get to meet James now. I'd probably have made a complete twit of myself if he'd tried some of that stuff on me!

I mainly went to see Adrian Pasdar and he was lovely. It was quite hard to get a conversation going (I wonder if he's a bit shy unless he's in familiar company as I'm very like that and damn, it's so hard when you're drooling and all that), but he actually called out to me with afterthought comments both times I visited him (oh, the love!). And in the photo session - dear lord... *thud*

I wish I'd been able to talk to Lance Henriksen as well as I think he's a great actor, but I'm afraid I dried. He gave me such a sweet smile, though.

Quite possibly my favourite convention ever.

  6. Ahh! Were you handing out photo tickets? (At least, when I was there.) This girl (who might have been you) was calling out for cashpayers only and it took me a while to realize I could jump in front of a bunch of people as a result, and when I got there, I was thinking, "Damn, that looks like Psychosis, from the photos I've seen," but I was too dumb to ask...

Adrian was BEYOND AWESOME. Best convention encounter ever. I'm going back for more tomorrow!

Yes! That was me. Nobody wanted me :hathor: I had to shout for attention! LOL

Awww, darn - I wish I'd said something now. Never mind - next time!

  7. I believe Showmasters have suggested that there may be upwards of 1000 people queueing at opening time on both days. I'm crewing Sat but going about an hour early on Sun to make sure I can get to Adrian.

  8. This was my first Collectormania and I had a fab time. Not least because you can shop while you wait... but I didn't have to wait that long either! Definitely a case of getting the most results in the shortest possible time.

George Takei was probably the highlight (heehee, he dropped spoilery hints for Heroes S2! I wish I'd had the presence of mind to chat to him in Japanese too), followed by Erick Avari - and managing to get an autograph from James Kyson Lee despite being warned that I'd probably have no chance as he was going off to his photo shoot in the next hour and then leaving. But everyone was really cool. Thanks to everyone involved for making it such a great experience!

  9. I almost missed him tucked away down the side - so glad I spotted him before I left as he was a lovely guy - really friendly. As for talking, he was mostly impressed by the number of shopping bags I'd managed to amass in between nabbing autographs. :D

I didn't think to ask him about The Mummy (or Heroes!), as I didn't want to hog too much of his time, but I did get a nice photo of him from the film (I'd have liked a photo of him from the meet, but my camera was being useless). One of the best people I met, definitely.

  10. I'm really looking forward to this, I think I will be a little nervous at first as I won't know anyone but my boyfriend but i'm really looking forward to meeting some of you. :(

I hope that didn't sound too sad lol :D

Hee - I won't even have my other half with me - it's not his thing. So I'll be there on my lonesome and not knowing anyone! I'm sure we'll both be OK though.
