  1. Yikes, for some reason I thought the Sunday shindig was going to be a general heroes/villains-themed party. That's my (extremely vague) idea down the drain then! Back to the drawing board...

Good to hear we're going for a DJ and partying till late this time. Not that I didn't enjoy the last Sunday party as it was - that was a fab time.

Am I the only one who thought the Sunday night party at E1 was boring, well apart from the 7 or 8 people dressed as Superheroes I thought it was quite dull compared to the parties the prior 2 nights.

I know quiet isn't for everyone, and I wasn't expecting it to be like that, but I actually enjoyed it the most of the three because I got to hang out with some of the people I met over the weekend and we had a really good laugh. But I'm looking forward to seeing how all three turn out this time as well.

  3. That explanation of the gold pass not necessarily meaning priority in the autograph queue (unlike at a signing event) makes much more sense now. As it happened, I obediently waited until my gold pass group came up for each guest so I could get my autographs, and I'm glad it that way as it meant I didn't just get all my autographs in a rush and then have to sit around and twiddle my thumbs until the next talk/event. Barring a bit of confusion regarding photo queues on the Saturday morning, I found the whole system worked pretty well and I'm confident I'll get a good experience this time round also.

    (Oooops, I've jinxed it now, haven't I? )

well at least we know who to blame when it all goes wrong

Ha! I can see myself having to wear a t-shirt saying, "It was ME!" (Then I'll be dragged off by the feds and asked questions about the grassy knoll.)

  4. I can't narrow it down to two! There are lots of great guests. OK, Greg and Jack are at the top of my list, but Jayma Mays would be good, as would Dania Ramirez.

I know I've already met George Takei, but if he were available, I wouldn't say no - the guy was the nicest and easiest to talk to out of any signing event I've ever attended and a group talk/photo with him would be awesome. OK, that's probably unrealistic even though he isn't main cast, but hell, one can ask.

Failing that, how about Francis Capra? I loved Weevil on Veronica Mars.

    Really, I'm not fussy.

  6. I'm loving S3 too, although sometimes it feels like the writers are trying to Break My Brain. And we're only a few eps in! Oh, the ride.

On the subject of main cast guests, I can understand why people are feeling concerned, as it is getting relatively close, but I'm still chilled and ready to have some fun, regardless of who turns up. OK, I can think of a few of the main cast I'd love to see (oh, yes), but I loved the "minor" guests at the last one so should think I'll be just as pleased this time round.

  7. Yes, I have had a few experiences like that. The worst was Michael Ironside - I am a massive fan and having carefully rehearsed what I was going to say, promptly turned into a quivering jelly the moment he spoke and he was being so nice and trying to talk to me (even though he'd been up to his ears in signings) and I had nothing. Oh, the shame. He put his arm round me for a posed photo, though, which was great. *beams*

Also blanked when I got to meet Lance Henriksen, which was a shame as I love so much of his stuff. I had to settle for giving him the biggest I'm-so-happy-to-meet-you grin I could manage and he gave me a lovely smile in return. Awwwww.

It's probably better when I don't talk, actually. Sometimes it gets to the point where the person in question is starting to look a little nervous, you know? :D

  8. I find it highly amusing that this is the first time I've seen this thread and I am wearing this very T-shirt as I type. And I'm happy to wear it in public too - pickiness over terminology be damned!

    I love DavidB's alternatives, though. :D
