  1. I love shadow too....Dom's voice sounds soooooo sexy...though...doesn't it always??!! But this CD's really great fun!!! These guys rock!!!!! Hugs, Nyah
  2. So do I!! So please showmasters, bring Dom and Billy back, so that we can get the hugs we need so desperately!
  3. God, I want an LOTR advent calendar too!!!!! We don't get these here in Switzerland! *sobs*
  4. Oh yes!!! I am a convertor too!! *g* Isn't it just nice to be a convertor??? In the past couple of weeks I managed to make at least two friends watch either FOTR or TTT. They just all of a sudden felt a huge urge to do so! *g* And then they blamed me of course! *g* But I took the blame very well, actually...quite honestly I was very proud to have infected two more people with the LOTR virus!! *loool* Hugs, Nyah
  5. Yeah, I agree with you on that, girl! Well and talking about being crazy: I've got actually a teacher called Dominic, so every time I see him, I'm like thinking about Dom constantly! *g* And a friend of mine is actually teasing me all the time. Just yesterday for example she texted me and only wrote "Dominic". Nothing else. I couldn't stop laughing...It's just so cool when everyone around you starts to understand and even becomes a slight bit crazy too! *g* Well it's just nice having something - or in our case - someone to swoon over in our lives, isn't it. Hugs, Nyah Oh and by the way: We want Dom for C5!!!!!!
  6. Dom and Billy for C5!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!
  7. God I love it!! Does anyone know when the magazine came out??? I hope I'm gonna be able to get that one..but we'll always have to wait another week after it got out in America until it gets here...gotta check my newsstand on monday! Thanks for the info btw, rachie!!!! Hugs, Nyah
  8. @ Potatoes Never thought you'd be!!! *ggg* Just thought you hadn't read all the info..*g* Hugs, Nyah
  9. thanks, rachie! That's such a lovely and funny clip!!!! I love it when Billy says "I think I do have a special gift for gaming.." and then Dom does the imitation of him not knowing how to work with the controller and Billy goes on "but I just haven't really opened that gift yet and given it to myself." That's soo sweet! *ggg*
  10. I've read the books quite some time before the movies anyway so I never was in that dilemma actually. What I realized though, when I read them again after seeing FOTR and TTT, was that I didn't pay that much attention to all the details anymore. It was like I had the whole image of the movies in my head so I felt it rather difficult at times to read on. On the other hand that's perhaps just because I read the books so many times already, so that I don't pay that much attention to everything mentioned anymore. Anyway...since you've read TTT and FOTR after you've seen the movies, I'd suggest that you do the same with ROTK. Mostly 'cause for you now the whole story's still totally open. I mean when I went to watch FOTR I knew already what would happen in ROTK, so I wasn't like some of my other friends, who hadn't read the books before the movies, and who just needed to know immediately what was gonna happen next. Besides when I first saw FOTR I also always had Tolkiens words in the back of my head, what made it quite difficult for me at the beginning to put up with PJ's changes for the movie. So what I want to say by this is that you should take this as a chance to really let the movie grow on you as it is, without knowing the ending. You still - and I really hope you do - can read ROTK afterwards. By the way, normally I would say to read a book before the movie, but since you've read FOTR and TTT both after the movies I think it doesn't really make any difference anymore. Oh..and another suggestion just comes to my mind. Do it as my brother did, if you don't want to know the ending yet: Just read ROTK and stop at some chapter near the ending. I personnally wouldn't be able to do that since I'm always waaaay to eager to know what is gonna happen when I read a book, but it might works for you as it worked for my brother! :)
  11. Very well said vamps!!! I totally know the feeling you're refering to!!! :) I guess we - pretty much - all do!! :) Hugs, Nyah
  12. First of all I gotta say that I didn't 100%ly like any of the cinematrical versions neither of FOTR nor of TTT. Of course I thought they were brilliant, but there was always something missing to me. And these elements PJ gave me back through the extended version of FOTR and I'm sure he's gonna do the same with the extended version of TTT. It's just that the cinematrical versions kinda lack of depth. While (the cinematrical version of) FOTR still has some quieter, more character specified moments, TTT doesn't really. Clearly, TTT is the middle bock of the story...and quite honestly I didn't really like to read it as much as I liked to read FOTR and ROTK, but still I think there's more to it than the battle of helms deep. In my opinion PJ does a great job with the extended versions, because it gives the real fans back what they missed in the movies. Well, what I want to say by this is, that to me only the extended versions are the real movies. So if Saruman and Wormtongue don't appear in the cinematrical version of ROTK it's definitely a shame...mostly for the brilliant acting of Christopher Lee and Brad Dourif, but to me it's just not the real deal. The extended version of ROTK is gonna be the real thing and as long as Saruman and Wormtongue are gonna be on that one I'm fine with the decision PJ made. Still I think that it's a bit unfair for both the actors and the audience..'cause I'm pretty sure, that not everyone - which means the people who didn't read the books - will understand what happened to Saruman and Wormtongue immediately. Well, all this is just my opinion, though! :) Hugs, Nyah
  13. If I lived in england I'd definitely go...but I think that especially flying from Switzerland to England to get to the ROTK premiere is a too big an effort for me to make...mostly since I don't even know whether I'd see anyone at all...still..I'm waaaaaayyyy to obsessed, so the idea definitely crossed my mind once...okay...more than twice...well, let's say it as it is...very often!! *g* But hey..does anyone know anything about a premiere in Germany??? I thought that there was gonna be a european premiere in Berlin. Am I wrong there??!!
  14. Sounds good! And seeing Jason on a new movie again, isn't that bad either! Dom's obviously playing a band member! :) Yeah..this is gonna be cool!!! The more new Dom movies we get, the less it will hurt that LOTR comes to an end...though I will definitely be crying anyway!!! Hugs, Nyah
  15. @ fabienne good to know really!! :) Still it's nice to see you on here again! I actually wanted to write you an email recently...but you know how time goes..sometimes it's just easier to write something in the forum! @ all and oh yes...WE WANT DOM FOR C5!!!!! Hugs, Nyah
  16. Well as for me, C4 was quite stressfull at times..that's for sure. After all me and my friend had to catch a plane back to Switzerland later that day. But honestly I wouldn't chance C4 for a thing. This event made it possible for me to meet Dom and Elijah, which actually was more than I could ever have wished for! It just meant the world to me to be able to tell them how I feel about these movies. And looking at it that way the stress wasn't that bad anyway. :) Still it obviously would be nicer if there were less people screaming and less people standing around all day trying to get a glimpse at the stars. But I think that's just the way it is, if you've got people like Elijah Wood as guests. The only thing that worries me a bit about C5 is the ticket limitation. I totally understand that they had to limit the tickets at some point, but I saw all these terribly frustrated people walking around which made me feel kinda bad. It really was a mass hysteria. So if you ask me, now after C4, it's gonna be worse at C5. And quite honestly I don't know whether I really should do the trip from Switzerland to England just to find out that I won't be able to meet anyone at all. I guess though that once it is anounced that Dom will be at C5 again, I'll make up my mind instantly and just hope for the best. Hugs, Nyah
  17. @ Vandevloanders Oh it's nice to see you again! Haven't seen you for quite a while and really started to miss you!! :) @ all Sorry for the off topic guys! *g* and...if it does any good...which it does always, WE WANT DOM FOR C5!!!!! That's an order!!! Hugs, Nyah
  18. Yeah, exactly! I've been a fan of the books for years and when the movies came out I became a fan of the movies as well...so to me it just goes hand in hand. Of course I understand that there are some LOTR fans who don't like the hype...but quite honestly I don't believe that these kind of fans are big fans of the movies anyway. Normaly they just cling to the book and don't want to hear anything PJ related...in that case these people definitely won't hear of some event called Collectormania anyway. So where's the problem then??!! Well and as for C4. I loved it, but I gotta admit, that it wasn't that great an event for all uf us. And sometimes it was quite frustrating and there were just waaaaay too many people trying to get a glimpse of the LOTR cast. On the other hand, I have to say, that this just comes with the business. It's normal. LOTR means such a lot to everyone...out of various reasons..and the actors behind the movies kinda represent it all. So it's rather natural that hell brakes loose since everyone wants to meet them and show them how they feel about the movies and stuff.
  19. Okay...I'm taking up my duty and bring this thread back to page 1! :) We still want DOM!!!!!
  20. Yeah, think so too! *g* but who knows..there might be someone crazy...I mean brave enough to do that... :)
  21. Thanks, spike's dream date! And as long as Dom comes he can bring whoever he wants to bring with him! *g*...actually I wouldn't mind having Elijah again either, anyway. But it would be great to have Billy too....mhhh anyway..I think SM should do a new event..like an LOTR convention..*g* All the stars from LOTR would be there and one would be able to buy all the merchandising stuff concerning LOTR. Wouldn't such an event just be like heaven???!!!!
  22. What is this thread again doing on page two??!! *sobs* We do want Dom for C5, dont we??!! So let's keep that thread firmly in the top position!
  23. Since I loved that show, I think it'd be great to get Jesse for C5!!! But why not getting Jensen Ackles for the girls as well???
  24. *g* It was amost the same with me, a few days ago at university. I was more or less listening to the teacher (actually I was more like day dreaming) and then he brought up some kind of example that I can't even remember. And out of the blue he said: 'let's call that person Dominic.' And I was like listening to him immediately. *ggg*
