  1. Hi everyone, Once again, we are pleased to announce here first that MATTHEW LEWIS, who plays NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM in Harry Potter, will be joining us for Collectormania 4. Showmasters
  2. Hi all, We are delighted to exclusively announce on the forum first that PETER WELLER, best known for his part as ROBOCOP, will be joining us for Collectormania 4. Showmasters
  3. Just to add to what Mark has said, remember that organising Collectormania is not purely about getting guests. It would be amazing if we could just speak to a load of celebs, tell them to turn up on a certain date, and that's it! Unfortunately there's a huge amount of organising to do to make the show happen. Guests are just a small (but very important) part of the overall picture. We also have to work with agents, sponsors, press, suppliers, printers, hire companies, dealers, staff, security, airlines, hotels, to name a few, just to get the event off the ground. Although C4 is a couple of months off, the workload is already starting to build and will continue to do so until the show itself. Andrea is currently working very hard to meet all the advertising deadlines for the various magazines we advertise in. This is obviously extremely important as these are the magazines that will be onsale for the month running up to the show. Mark and Jason are both working very hard on securing more guests, finalising travel arrangements, as well as all the general administration of the show. On top of this, we all have our normal day to day tasks to ensure everything continues to run smoothly. In short, I vote for option 2 too! Kenny
  4. Sorry, but we don't allow the trading, or selling of stuff on the forum, as we can't be responsible for how the transactions are carried out. Mark
  5. Can you really only get one or two personal items signed? I was thinking about maybe getting 3 or 4 signed by a couple of the hobbits (and obviously paying whatever the going rate for autographs is for each of those), but not necessarily buying one of the photos that are provided. Would that be a problem? You can get as many items signed as you wish, whether they are personal or our photos, but there is a charge for each signature. Mark
  6. Hi everyone, We do try to answer as many of the improtant questions that we can. However, there are so many posts constantly being made on here that on occassion we do miss something that perhaps we should have answered. As to answering all questions, that is just not possible, partly because we would spend our time doing nothing else, but also because there are occassions when answering a question would prejudice something that we are doing, or trying to do. For example, we are often asked about getting specific guests. We never comment on this, as it is not good for us to speculate over a particular guest before we talk to their agent, or whilst we are talking with them. Also, we may have already talked with them, but they don't want to, or can't do the particular event. We have a good relationship with a great many agents, managers, and actors, and this is partly down to the fact that all our negotiations are conducted in the strictest privacy. By commenting on things before they are secured we could put in jeapardy future negotiations, or even things that we have already agreed. I would love to tell you all about the huge array of people we have spoken with, and hopefully will secure for future events, but I just can't. Suffice it to say that we know who you all want to see, and we love looking at your guest suggestions, and if they are possible, we will do everything we can to bring these people to a Collectormania event that fits in with their schedule. I hope you understand. In short, we never do not answer a question because we cannot be bothered. If it is important, we see it, it has not already been answered, and we can answer it, then we will. I therefore voted for the middle option!!!!! Thanks Mark
  7. i can't imagine... pray tell Well, if you imagine bouncing around in this weather as you are, multiply that by 400, and then add a bit more on for good measure, then I think I can catagorically attest that you would be getting somehwere near to how hot you would be!!!!!!!!!! And for those of you wondering what the hell I am going on about, don't worry. Most of the time I don't know either! Mark P.S If I had to choose a catagory off the poll for this, it would certainly be ' dead', as if the orange thing wasn't 'dead', it would certainly be praying for it!!
  8. Just think how hot it would be bouncing around in orange fur!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mark
  9. Hi TishTosh and Mugglenetjamie, I've looked back through the e-mails, and I can't see yours. We were away in The States for a couple of weeks, and so things got a little neglected there for a while! We are currently getting over a hundred e-mails a day, and so it is hard to keep on top of things, but if you both want to e-mail me through your questins again then I will come back to you. Mugglenetjamie, if you can include a phone no. aswell that would be great, as it may be easier for us to arrange things via phone. Thanks Mark Just in case you can't find the e-mail, it is info@showmastersonline.com
  10. Here are some links I thought you might find useful: Milton Keynes Visitor Information Centre (they have detailed info on hotels, bus times, places to eat, and much more): http://www.mkweb.co.uk/visitorinfo/home.asp or e-mail askvic@powernet.com / telephone 01908 558300 / fax 01908 558316 Collectormania's hotel page (with links to some local hotel websites and other places to stay): http://www.collectormania.com/wheretostay.html Collectormania's travel page: http://www.collectormania.com/travel/travel.html Local maps: http://www.mkweb.co.uk/mkmap/home.asp?Y_Co...o&panonclick=no Places to eat/visit (just click on visitor guide or entertainment): http://www.mkweb.co.uk/ Other tips: There are several hotels within walking distance of the centre, but there are also many, many more hotels/ b&b's etc, elsewhere in Milton Keynes. Most bus routes pass through the city centre and there are also many taxi companies in the area. If you contact the hotels they should be able to tell you if they are close to a bus route and when the buses run early in the morning/late at night/on Sunday. You may also find cheaper accommodation further away from the city centre. If traveling by car please consider using the park and ride (details on the travel page) as parking in the centre will be quite difficult unless you arrive early in the morning.
  11. Early next week I will be tidying up several sections of this forum, particularly the Collectormania 4 section. Nothing will be deleted, but any topics not relating to C4 will be moved to their relevant sections (hobbits topics to the Lord of the Rings section, general topics to General Chat section, etc). There will also be links to all the moved topics so they should be easy to find. This will be an ongoing process in the 2 months running up to C4, and will hopefully make the forum a more inviting place to newcomers as well as a more usable source of information for any non-forum members. We would also ask that you help us out by keeping the posts in the C4 section as on-topic as possible. Not easy, I know! If you have any more comments or suggestions on how to improve the forum please feel free to post them here, and I'll see what I can do. Andrea Showmasters
  12. Hi, It is a good idea, but it will probably take a bit of organising! Plus we'll have to choose a film that everyone wants to see, and a time when everyone's available. Of course there are also the film screenings over the Collectormania weekend. We should have more details about them in the next 3 weeks or so.
  13. Hi everyone, We're sorry, but we have had to remove the links to The Return on the King trailer, as it has become apparent that New Line Cinema do not wish the trailer circulated yet. We're sorry to those of you who had hoped to see it, but we do not want to upset New Line's plans for releasing the trailer properly, and we hope that you will understand. ( In any case, it gives you something to look forward to )!!! Thanks Showmasters
  14. Well, normally I'm dancing naked and purple on top of the harpsichord myself, so yes actually... K
  15. Work? Ha! You wouldn't know a hard day's work if it painted itself purple and danced naked on top of a harpsichord, singing "Hard Days Work are here again." K
  16. Don't worry, you'll be making the tea tomorrow, boy! Or you'll be singing even higher than that bloke from The Darkness... K

  25. Not sure where in South Wales you are but Cardiff to Milton Keynes is about a 31/2 hour drive going at a steady pace. It's a pretty straightforward route, M4-M25-M1. Kenny
