Hi, Maybe someone on this thread can clear something up for me. On the IMDB (see link below) Jonathan Hardy is listed as being involved with the puppetry as well as voicing Rygel. click on this link and scroll down to Misc crew Is this correct? Was he involved with the puppeteering of Rygel or is this a mistake on the IMDBs part? I'm just curious and I want to make sure I have my facts straight before I start sending out the press releases. Thomasd, I have to say that I find many of your posts on here tonight particularly offensive. If you have nothing good to say about a guest then don't say anything at all. I think that its accepted that if you are not a Farscape fan then this will not be the best guest announcement for you so far, but believe it or not there are Farscape fans out there, and this guest is aimed at them. After all, why not? We have guests aimed at LOTR fans, and Harry Potter fans, and even general film fans. In fact, there are even some guests that you want to see. Have you ever thought that whilst you may be looking forward to seeing Peter Weller, there may well be people who are looking forward to seeing Jonathan Hardy, and couldn't care less about meeting some of the stars you are? If you don't like a guest, that's fine, and I even don't have a problem with you saying so if you must. However, you can take things to far and just become offensive, and I believe that you have here. Whilst I don't generally like deleting posts, I will be doing so with some of yours on this thread, as I really feel that a little more respect is due to our guests, whether you like them or not. In future, I would ask that you say nothing rather than being so disrespectful. Mark

Hi, I'm not quite sure how these rumours started, but I'd like to put this to rest once and for all. The user "Danny McCallum" is not in any way related to Billy Boyd and any hint or suggestion that he is should be taken with a very large pinch of salt! In the future can I ask that everyone tries to keep these wild speculations in check. There have been several rumours regarding various actors posted on these forums over the past few days, and they have caused much confusion and disappointment amongst other members. We understand that it can be fun to speculate about forthcoming guests or forum members identities but the level of exitement this has been generating lately is matched only by the level of disappointment and upset caused when these speculations turn out to be false. Hi everyone, We are pleased to announce that our next guest for Collectormania 4 is : JONATHAN HARDY who was the puppeteer and voice of Rygel in Farscape. This will be Jonathan's first ever U.K appearance, and we hope that the many Farscape fans out there will be pleased to see him. P.S. We're early for once!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone, I know that we always say that we don't comment on guests until they are announced. However, here comes another exception to that rule!!!!!!!!!!! The guest that will be announced tonight, ( Weds 6th ), will not be a Star Wars guest. However, we are still in negotiations with 2 Star Wars actors who have never done an event before. If things go well with them, we hope to be able to bring them to C4. If not, then we will be looking at future events for more Star Wars guests. We have given the Star Wars aspect a lot of thought, and we do listen to the comments on the board over it. Jason and myself are both Star Wars fans ourselves!!! However, we see little point in bringing guests to the show that have done many events in the past, just so we can say that we have several Star Wars guests attending. Therefore, we have been trying very hard to secure a small quantity of debut Star Wars signings, and hopefully this will still pay off. Please be patient with us, we are trying our best. Word of advice for people who think they might be able to come and/or are planning to travel long distances, book your hotel rooms NOW! Rooms really are booking up fast and remember, even if you end up not being able to attend, in most cases you can still cancel your room up until the day of your arrival without losing anything. Just don't forget to cancel! Kenny

Hi everyone, The Showmasters need your help and opinion! As you are all aware, we have Elijah Wood, Sean Astin and Dominic Monaghan attending C4. We are receiving a massive number of enquiries from people wanting to meet The Hobbits and obviously we want as many people as possible to come away happy having met them. However, all three guests are currently only scheduled to appear on Saturday and Sunday, as they have a New Line press junket which means that they will not be able to attend Friday. Therefore, we are considering adding an extra day and running Collectormania 4 on monday 6th October as well, in order that the maximum number of people will get to meet Elijah, Dominic and Sean. Our full question is : If we were to run Collectormania 4 onto Monday 6th october as well, with only Elijah, Sean and Dominic as guests, would you take advantage of going on that day?

Hi all, We are delighted to exclusively announce on the forum first that PETER WELLER, best known for his part as ROBOCOP, will be joining us for Collectormania 4. Showmasters

Just to add to what Mark has said, remember that organising Collectormania is not purely about getting guests. It would be amazing if we could just speak to a load of celebs, tell them to turn up on a certain date, and that's it! Unfortunately there's a huge amount of organising to do to make the show happen. Guests are just a small (but very important) part of the overall picture. We also have to work with agents, sponsors, press, suppliers, printers, hire companies, dealers, staff, security, airlines, hotels, to name a few, just to get the event off the ground. Although C4 is a couple of months off, the workload is already starting to build and will continue to do so until the show itself. Andrea is currently working very hard to meet all the advertising deadlines for the various magazines we advertise in. This is obviously extremely important as these are the magazines that will be onsale for the month running up to the show. Mark and Jason are both working very hard on securing more guests, finalising travel arrangements, as well as all the general administration of the show. On top of this, we all have our normal day to day tasks to ensure everything continues to run smoothly. In short, I vote for option 2 too! Kenny

Can you really only get one or two personal items signed? I was thinking about maybe getting 3 or 4 signed by a couple of the hobbits (and obviously paying whatever the going rate for autographs is for each of those), but not necessarily buying one of the photos that are provided. Would that be a problem? You can get as many items signed as you wish, whether they are personal or our photos, but there is a charge for each signature. Mark

Hi everyone, We do try to answer as many of the improtant questions that we can. However, there are so many posts constantly being made on here that on occassion we do miss something that perhaps we should have answered. As to answering all questions, that is just not possible, partly because we would spend our time doing nothing else, but also because there are occassions when answering a question would prejudice something that we are doing, or trying to do. For example, we are often asked about getting specific guests. We never comment on this, as it is not good for us to speculate over a particular guest before we talk to their agent, or whilst we are talking with them. Also, we may have already talked with them, but they don't want to, or can't do the particular event. We have a good relationship with a great many agents, managers, and actors, and this is partly down to the fact that all our negotiations are conducted in the strictest privacy. By commenting on things before they are secured we could put in jeapardy future negotiations, or even things that we have already agreed. I would love to tell you all about the huge array of people we have spoken with, and hopefully will secure for future events, but I just can't. Suffice it to say that we know who you all want to see, and we love looking at your guest suggestions, and if they are possible, we will do everything we can to bring these people to a Collectormania event that fits in with their schedule. I hope you understand. In short, we never do not answer a question because we cannot be bothered. If it is important, we see it, it has not already been answered, and we can answer it, then we will. I therefore voted for the middle option!!!!! Thanks Mark
