  1. Emma Thompson had her first day on set on Wednesday. Personally I see Glenn Close as Umbridge :) Kenny
  2. Earlybird tickets will be onsale on the day. At present there is nothing firmly planned with regard to pre-booking tickets but if there is going to be a pre-sale, it will be announced on the website and/or forum. Kenny
  3. Don't forget all three Indiana Jones movies... :) Kenny
  4. The rumours are true, Devon and his mum popped along to the show on the Sunday to hang out with James, Oliver, Matthew and their parents. These guys have all lived and worked together on the Harry sets for the last 4 years and have a close family community there much like the Lord of the Rings actors. Kenny
  5. Comic Con will be run in a similar manner to other large events of this type. There will be a charge for admission as follows:- Early Bird (from 9am Saturday) £10 Standard Entry (from 11am Saturday) £5 Adult £3 Children Admission is paid for at the door. Stay tuned to the LFACC webite (which is now online) and the forum for guest announcements and further info on all the exciting plans we have for this event. Kenny
  6. You know for the life of me I can't think which character in Willow this guy plays!!! Is he the one that was locked in a cage?????? Val plays the character Madmartigan in the movie. Willow finds him locked and suspended in a cage. He releases him when he promises to take care of the baby Elora Danan. Later in the movie, Madmartigan is hit by a love potion and falls in love with Sorsha (played by Joanne Whalley) daughter of the evil Queen Bavmorda.. OK, I'll take off my anorak now. Kenny
  7. More like simple and pointless, god I am feeling bitchy tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol Ur only gettin annoyed coz ur not on THE list. KB
  8. To stop the LFACC topic getting swamped with guest discussion, please feel free to use this thread to make any guest requests/suggestions/demands. Bear in mind that London Film and Comic Con will be a different event to Collectormania and that will be reflected in the guests we invite (although we will still be trying to get as many first time appearances and "unobtainable" guests as always) This is where you are most likely to see more specialist guests from the world of cult film, TV and comics so let us know who you want and as always we will do our best... Kenny
  9. It seems the entire C5 topic is awash with guest suggestions, so in an effort to tidy the place up a bit and allow a some non-guest related threads to flourish, please make all your suggestions/begging/demands here! Kenny
  10. Well we have managed one from that list already... Kenny
  11. We are proud to announce our newest show which will be held at Wembley Exhibition Centre on March 6th/7th next year. The event website will be up and running very shortly at www.londonfilmandcomiccon.com so please keep checking back for regular information updates and guest announcements. Our first few guests were announced at Collectormania 4, and we hope to bring you even more exciting announcements in the very near future. With your continued support we look forward to being able to make this a very special event. Kenny
  12. Can we top C4? You'll just have to wait and see Kenny
  13. With the dust hardly settled from C4, we are already hard at work on C5. Even though it is still 8 months away, the process of organising the show is well underway and our first four guests have been announced. Check out the new C5 homepage COLLECTORMANIA 5 Let the discussion commence.... Kenny

  15. I would have welcomed you too, but i think you were here before i was! KB
  16. Jason, Mark, Andrea and the rest of the Showmasters team would like to publicly thank Houdinia for her undivided support in the months running up to the event and the amazing job she did over the weekend. You are an absolute star Houdy! That’s why we put up with Serkis don't read, mods please delete and all your aliases, because Showmasters just wouldn’t be the same without you!
  17. We would like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to all of the Collectormania crew who gave up their time and energy to help out over the weekend. Each and every one of you did a splendid job and worked long and hard, sometimes working well over 12 hours a day. In fact some of you were there from 6am to 10pm! Without your help it would have been impossible to run Collectormania. You didn’t just work at the show, you lived it! What you did was beyond the call of duty and we wish to thank you all for your support as well as your hard work. I know some of you didn’t have the opportunity to see all of the stars or be involved in all of the jobs and activities at C4 and we only wish there could have been a way to involve you even more. However you can be proud that the time and effort you put in made it possible for thousands of other fans to have a truly memorable weekend. It is because of people like yourselves that the Collectormania shows are possible. Running shows is a team effort and what a wonderful team we have! We'd also like to thank all of the other forum members and fans who have given us so much support and made us realise that the amount of work which goes into running Collectormania is worthwhile. Thank you all. Mark, Jason, Andrea, Kenny, and the rest of the Showmasters team.
  18. Hi, It doesn't look like many people can make Saturday, so i think it would be best to cancel that for the moment and re-arrange another time. I'll come back to you on this shortly, and will try and give you all a couple of weeks notice so that more people may be able to fit it in. We do want to talk with you, and value your opinions. I'll be back on this in the next day or so. All the best Mark
  19. Ian, As someone who is involved with the press I find it amusing that you were unable to find out what my name was, as I was there all day every day. My name is Jason Joiner, rather than the one who is not Mark. Mark is in fact Mark! I think that by your statement you miss one fundamental point, that the event was not run to enable the press to get yet another story and pictures from Elijah Wood. In fact it was an opportunity for the fans to meet their favourite stars. And as to the lady from SFX, as she had claimed that I had given her permission, which I had not, actually stating to my face " Jason Joiner has given me permission ", not realising that I was Jason Joiner. I could not believe the extent of the fabrication of her lies, just to get an interview with Elijah. This is just one of hundreds of queries or incidents that happened over the weekend for me, which I coped with to the best of my ability. On this point, maybe you'll see another view now. If you would like to discuss your views on Collectormania 4, then please feel free to join us at 2pm this Saturday outside Costa Coffee, where we have accepted an open invitation in another thread, to meet with people and discuss the event, and how to improve things in the future. Jason Joiner
  20. Hi everyone, Despite what you may think of us, we are interested in your views. We would be happy to meet up with anyone that wishes to, and answer any questions that you may have. We know that we did our best for Collectormania 4, and whilst we acknowledge that there are things that need to be improved or changed, we do not believe that it was the unmitigated disaster that some of you would make out. We can honestly say that on most points there is a reason why something was done in a particular way, and we would be happy to share these things with you. Please do not misunderstand me. We know that there were problems, and we do not shy away from them. There are undoubtedly some things that we have to just put our hands up to. However, we live in the real world where sometimes things do not go as you plan, and you have to adjust and cope the best you can. Anyway, as I said, we would very much like to meet up with people for a constructive discussion. From our point of view, no subject is off limits, and we are happy to talk about anything. All I would say is that we expect anyone attending to engage in constructive discussion, and not just a shouting match. That does not serve anyone. It would be useful if people could let us know if they intend to come along, as it would be pretty pointless us turning up if no-one else does. We propose to meet outside Costa Coffee on the edge of Middleton Hall at 2pm on this Saturday 11th October. We are interested in what you have to say, and will listen. We will also explain why we did some of the things that we did in the way that we did them, and talk over how things can be made better. I hope that as many of you who wish to will attend, and we look forward to meeting you. All the best Mark
  21. so what about the Father with the 7 year old girl who was so dissapointed that she didn't stop crying - he visits the complaints box - and gets attitude from the SM person and thumps the bloke - are you saying that didn't happen???? To be absolutley clear about this, I am saying that this DID NOT happen!
