Latest Guest Announcement - Glenn Darkin

TODAY Dakin is the author of the Candle Man series of children’s books as well as a writer of children’s shows for the BBC but he previously spent over two decades working in comics. Starting out in the early ’80s self-publishing his own stripzines, he went on to write and draw contributions to such of the UK’s small press/indie scene’s titles as Escape, Knockabout Comics, Paris: The Man of Plaster and Deadline before landing at Marvel UK where he wrote The Man from Cancer for Strip. Two years later he scripted 1992’s four-issue Greenhouse Warriors for Tundra before returning to Marvel UK in 1993. For Marvel’s British arm he wrote a flurry of titles – among them Death’s Head II and the Origin of Die Cut, Plasmer and ClanDestine – as well as editing Exploits of Spider-Man. Leaving Marvel UK in 1995, he next produced the Robot Crusoe strip in The Funday Times for eight years before leaving comics to focus on other outlets for his writing.
