MonsieurBBrooks
If your a fan of BBC Costume Drama from the 70's, then you'll already know who Peter Gilmore is, but if you don't. Peter played Captain James Onedin in the hugely popular The Onedin Line from 1971 to 1980, arguably his greatest role. He also appeared in 11 of the Carry On films which were Carry On....; Cabby Jack Cowboy Follow that Camel Cleo Don't Lose Your Head Doctor Again Doctor Up the Khyber Henry and Columbus. He is also still remembered for his appearance in the Doctor Who story "Frontios" in 1984 as Brazen. It would be great to meet this superb actor. The Onedin Line. Carry On Doctor. Carry On Henry. Echo I love his Citizen Robespierre performance, I watched "Henry" at the weekend on Yesterday again. His performance as King Francis was hilarious and he stole every scene he was in, the character came in torwards the end and it reminded of the brilliant Rik Mayall in Blackadder 2 as Lord Flasheart. But in a more toned down manner. Have you been watching "The Onedin Line" repeats on the channel Yesterday? Peter must be very grateful to Yesterday for giving him TV exposure again. They've shown all 90+ episodes of TOL and the majority of Carry On's that they show are the one's with him in.
