Did anyone talk to NANCY ALLEN about POLTERGEIST III?

I only just saw Poltergeist III (1988) this week after seeing it the first time 20 yrs ago on VHS and learned about the mysterious controversy surrounding the ending of the film. Did anyone get any info about it from Nancy as she was the key player in the film's climax?

 

The director denies it was re-shot of an existing ending although ther people say the original ending was filmed but shelved for unkown reasons (possibley cos of Heather O'Rourke's death).
