Showmasters Admin showmasters Posted May 21, 2007 Showmasters Admin Share Posted May 21, 2007 Already said this on the other hotel thread, but its worth flagging up in its own thread. I've spoken to the Radisson Edwardian management today. There ARE rooms available at the Radisson on Saturday night (and the other two nights). However, if you phone up and try to book without the authorisation code (1123AUT), you will be told there are none, because they are all blocked off for the event. If you call and get someone who says otherwise, they are mistaken; tell them to check under Ring Con, or if need be under Autographica (our other event held at the Radisson; from past experience the Radisson reservation people often initially put event bookings in under the names of prior related events, and don't alway remember to change them later). If they still say they have no availability, you should insist on speaking to someone more senior. The other possible problem is that while staff at the hotel should know about the block booking, people at the Radisson chain central reservation might not be so on the ball; if you call the hotel then "Press 1 for reservations" you can get redirected to the general reservation department, not the one in the specific hotel. The direct line for the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow's reservation department is 0208 817 0761
