  4. Writer/editor: Resident Alien; Terra Obscura; 2000 AD; The Sandman Presents: Love Street; Captain America/Nick Fury: The Otherworld War Attending: Saturday Only AFTER working for The Who's Pete Townsend as commissioning editor for Eel Pie Publishing, Peter Hogan wound up at Quality Comics, where he served as an editor on the UK-based label's line of 2000 AD reprints aimed at the US market. That was during the mid-to-late '80s after which he moved on to Fleetway. There, after working on 1989's 2000 AD Winter Special, he became editor ofRevolver, editing all seven issues of the experimental title as well as the two specials the 1990 comic spawned. Two years later, Hogan (who had also been working as a music journalist) began writing scripts for 2000 AD with his first stories appearing2000 AD Sci-Fi Special 1992 and 2000 AD Action Special before he began contributing to the self-styled Galaxy's Great Comic itself. Debuting on Prog 793, he wrote regularly for the weekly anthology until late 1995. In 1996 he was hired by Vertigo (DC's mature readers imprint) to write a four-issue run on The Dreaming. After a smattering of other issues of that title Hogan embarked on 1999's The Sandman Presents: Love Street before authoring his one and only Marvel project, the Captain America/Nick Fury: The Otherworld War one-shot, two years later. Subsequently he was brought in by Alan Moore to contribute to the famed British writer's America's Best Comics line, which was published by DC under its Wildstorm umbrella. Hogan scripted two Terra Obscura six-parters (in 2003 and 2004) as well as the six issues of 2010's Tom Strong and the Robots of Doom and of 2013'sTom Strong and the Planet of Peril. In 2011, after a three-part prelude in the Dark Horse Presents anthology. the writer unveiled Resident Alien, a 2012 three-parter. Two further three-issue DHP serials followed, the first leading into 2013's Resident Alien: The Suicide Blonde three-parter and the second a prelude to the three issues of Resident Alien: The Sam Hain Mystery which came along two years later. Hogan's most recent project is The King's Road, a 2016 three-parter that began life as a three-issue DHP serial three years before.
  5. Latest Comic Guest Announcement - Jorge Molina Attending: Saturday & Sunday Artist: A-Force; What If? AvX; Captain America: Man out of Time A 2008 Pilot Season one-shot for Image/Top Cow was the first story credit for Jorge Molina who had started out a year earlier as a colourist who worked on books for Ape Entertainment, Slave Labor Graphics and UDON Entertainment among others. That Urban Myths comic was followed a year later by What If? Secret Wars, a one-off that led to an association with Marvel that continues to this day. Following in swift succession the Mexican artist drew the X-Men: Manifest Destiny Nightcrawler one-shot, a contribution to the one and only issue of Models, Inc and five issues of Avengers: The Initiative. In 2010 came the World War Hulks: Spider-Man vs Thor two-parter and an issue of Avengers Academy with 2011 bringing the Captain America: Man out of Time five-parter, fill-ins on X-Men Legacy and Uncanny X-Men and a flurry of issues of X-Men. Those took Molina into 2012 during which time he became increasingly in demand as a cover artist although he continued to fill in on such titles as Wolverine and the X-Men and X-Men: Legacy while being a prime contributor to the four issues of 2013's What If? AvX. A contribution to Marvel's X-Men: Gold one-shot and a three-issue run on X-Force came in 2014, which was when the artist also took to producing covers for DC and for Valiant. Then, in 2015, after a single issue of Thor and years of jumping from comic to comic, Molina took on his first regular assignment, becoming series penciller when Marvel launched A-Force.

  7. Latest Comic Guest Announcement - Mike Perkins Artist: Stephen King's The Stand, Captain America, Ruse, Deathlok Although he began his career in 1987, it was only in 2001 – after six years of working on such Caliber comics as Kilroy is Here, Negative Burn, Black Mist: Blood of Kali and Necroscope – that Mike Perkins was headhunted by CrossGen Comics. The British artist – who had also contributed to 2000 AD and Black Library's Warhammer Monthly – was initially hired as an inker on the strength of his finishes for two 2000 projects: DC's Green Lantern vs Aliens and Witchblade/Aliens/The Darkness/Predator : Mindhunter for Image's Top Cow imprint. His first output for CrossGen was on CrossGen Chronicles, Sigil, Ruse and Sojourn and Archard's Agents before he co-created and pencilled Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, which was ended along with his exclusive contract by CrossGen's bankruptcy after five issues. Once more a free agent, Perkins was taken on by Marvel for which he has worked almost without a break ever since. His first project for the House of Ideas was 2004's Daredevil 2099, a one-shot that was followed in 2005 by another, Elektra: The Movie as well by a Spellbinders six-parter alongside which he continued to produce covers, draw the occasional fill-in and take on inking assignments. as a handful of fill-ins. With his star on the rise, a 2005 move to Captain America raised Perkins' profile even higher but he moved on after only 11 issues to illustrate Union Jack. A rash of fill-ins followed that 2006 six-parter until 2008 when he drew the five chapters of House of M: Avengers before taking on a title which would not only pretty much occupy all Perkins' time for the next three years but also introduce his art to a whole new audience. Between 2008 and 2012 he illustrated the various Marvel miniseries adapting Stephen King's The Stand before moving on to Astonishing X-Men. For almost two years after his nine-issue run on that title ended his primary output was covers but he took on a new regular title as 2014 drew to a close. He remains the current penciller of Deathlok. http://comicartcommunity.com/gallery/data/media/426/Miracleman_2_Perkins_Variant.jpg
