  1. Can you believe it ? I only saw the Matrix for the first time on T.V. the other night. Mind you, I really enjoyed it. It would be great to get Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne and Carrie-Ann Moss, but perhaps it would be more realistic to get some of Morpheus's crew: Marcus Chong (Tank) Matt Doran (Mouse) Belinda McClory (Switch)
  2. Yes, is is really cool if they can get linked guests. Although it is a bit of a drain on the cash front. It would also be good if they could get all the cenobites from Hellraiser. Wes Craven and Clive Barker are two people I would also like to meet.
  3. I was actually next in line when he was talking to Daniel Logan. However, Daniel didn't know who Mark was , so Robert had to explain he was Luke Skywalker. Just around that time , Samantha Bond sent her coffee cup flying over Robert and his table so although I got his autograph I had to wade through a coffee lake as well. Mind you, not a bad thing to have some coffee around to keep you awake when Freddy's about.
  4. To be fair to Wes Craven, he was only trying to freshen up the Horror Genre a bit with his New Nightmare. It also gave Robert Englund a chance to shine without all the make-up. I really enjoyed it when I first saw it at the Cinema. It kind of kick started a whole lot of new Horror Films with Scream, I know What You Did Last Summer etc
  5. Continuing with this era and keeping my fingers crossed for Lynda Carter, but I also wondered about some of the Original Charlie's Angels: Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson And Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers from Hart to Hart would be great too. Robert Wagner was also number two in the Austin Powers Films so probably would attract a good audience.
  6. With Brad Dourif (Voice of Chucky) coming to C5, I wonder what the chances are of getting Jennifer Tilly, who played Chucky's bride Tiffany along as well. That would be really cool.
  7. Robert Englund said at C3 that he used to room with Mark Hamill and that he was there when Mark got offered the part of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars. How cool is that. Perhaps Robert could have a word with him and convince him to come to C5 as they are old room mates.
  8. Yes, there are more good British shows out there than I at first thought, all the more reason to get some of the guests along and boost their appeal even more. Steve Coogan would be particularly good and perhaps some of these others from the Alan Partridge series, like Phil Cornwell and Sally Philips.
  9. I think it is a good idea in principal, but I thing it would be nigh on impossible to achieve in the current venue. Space is pretty limited anyway due to the shoppers, so to cordon off another area would be difficult. There would also be other Health and Safety and Security Issues which this would create. I think the only way to do this would to relocate the show to another venue and then it would lose an element of its current charm which would be a shame. There is something quite refreshing about not having to pay an entrance fee. It may be something that could be done more easily at the London Film and Comic Con at Wembley, so perhaps Showmasters could try it there.
  10. John Goodman is the name you are after. Yes, Monsters Inc was a really cool film.
  11. How cool is this game ? Aside from being a really good game where you get to play loads of characters, there are loads of interview clips available to unlock with many of the cast when they were recording their voices for the game. The gameplay is really smooth, although I have a lot of different moves to master yet. I would recommend this game for any Buffy fans out there for sure.
  12. David Jason would be a really good guest. He has been in so many good shows, Open All Hours, Only Fools and Horses, The Darling Buds of May. Not to mention providing the voices for Danger Mouse and Toad in the Wind of the Willows. And a whole lot more. I reckon he would be a really popular guest.
  13. Yes, thinking of Ab Fab, how about Julia Sawalha and her Jonathan Creek counterpart Alan Davies. That would be cool. Or maybe Chloe Annett and Michael French from Crime Traveller. Lets see some more guests from British series alongside those from American film and T.V.
  14. Oh Yeah ! The Craft I had forgotten about that film. I wonder what happened to Fairuza Balk, Rachel True and Robin Tunney that were the ther coven members. Perhaps they may all appear at a convention near here in the not too distant future. But definetly, Neve Campbell would be a great guest.
  15. If you want a Star Trek convention, there is one in London in January next year. Guests announced are Leonard Nimoy (Who will be doing a Q&A session and also a performance of his one man show in the evening ) Also attending are the following: Robert Beltran (Chakotay) Nana Visitor (Kira) Robert Duncan McNeil (Tom Paris) There will also be 7 or 8 other minor characters from the Star Trek series and films.
  16. Or how about Kevin Conroy ? He has provided the voice of Batman on many of the animated films and series for a while now.
  17. Yes David McCallum would be cool and Joanna Lumley. Robert Vaughn was grumpy when I met him as well, so not sure if he is really a good guest to get.
  18. Bend it like Beckham was a really good film and also the Hole. She was also in the Phantom Meance, and any Star Wars related guests are always welcome.
  19. It would be really great to see some of the following make C5: Mark Hamill Carrie Fisher Billy Dee Williams (Finally) Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker (CP30 and R2D2) Frank Oz Ray Park Temeura Morrison, Jermey Bulluch, Daniel Logan (The Fetts) Ian McDiarmid
  20. I went to see some episodes of the Brittas Empire being filmed a few years back at the BBC. Chris Barrie was superb, he was so funny and he would come over and talk to the audience in between takes and basically had a laugh the whole time. I think he would be a great guest for C5.
  21. Blimey stanmarsh and Miss T, I started a long Kevin Smith thread there. I haven't seen the animated clerks series, so much try and catch that. Dogma is probably the best film he has done so far, but Mallrats is probably better than Chasing Amy, even if just for Silent Bob's Jedi mind trick ! I am sure he would be a great guest and also they could perhaps show some of his films in the evenings and he could do intro and q&a's for them.
  22. Aside from the man himself, some of the following would be cool - Jason Mewes Jason Lee Linda Fiorentino Joey Lauren Adams Jeremy London Shannen Doherty Claire Forlani Brian O'Halloran And if you are really putting the boat out, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. And finally, the Amazing Stan Lee !
  23. O.K. , most of the good stuff on T.V. now comes from America, but we do still have a few good T.V. shows. It would be nice to see some of the following as guests: Red Dwarf ( Chris Barrie, Craig Charles, Danny John-Jules, Robert Llewellyn, Norman Lovett , Hattie Hayridge, Chloe Annett) Coupling (Jack Davenport, Gina Bellman, Sarah Alexander, Kate Isitt, Ben Miles, Richard Coyle) Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps ( Ralf Little, Will Mellor, Natalie Casey, Sheridan Smith, Kathryn Drysdale) And also people like: David Jason Nicholas Lyndhurst Caroline Aherne Martin Clunes Neil Morrissey Caroline Quentin Alan Davies Leslie Ash
  24. Jerry O'Connell was in Scream 2 , so he would be cool , especially if people already have Corey's auto on Stand By Me stuff. Someone like Rebecca Gayheart would be cool too as she was in Scream 2 and Urban Legend. Here are a few others that would be good to get from the Scream movies - Skeet Ulrich Drew Barrymoore Rose McGowan Matthew Lillard Liev Schreiber Parker Posey Emily Mortimer Jamie Kennedy
  25. No, definetly not Macaulay Culkin. O.K. Home Alone was a good film, but what is he even doing on an 80's want list.
