  1. I am not acknowledging that there will be a problem on the Saturday night. I'm merely pointing out that any such problem would be unavoidable on the Sunday anyway. In actual fact I don't see how there would be any problem. Nobody seems able to dispute my original point. Have I struck a nerve? I can see showmasters aren't going to tell us, but as a paying customer I have every right to express my views. This is a discussion forum after all. All I want is fair treatment for all us fans.
  2. I can't believe how insensitive some of you are. A "surprise"? That's ok for those who can go to both screenings. I am not causing trouble. I am a paying customer coming a long way to be at this event, and I want an honest answer as to why I'm not being told what I want to know. I think I've made a damn good point in this topic. Can anyone here dispute it? I have a feeling I know the real reason this isn't being disclosed, and it sucks. Why should I be grateful? It's costing a small fortune for me to be there! And don't forget the organisers are making a small fortune out of running it - they're not doing this for the good of their health.
  3. I know the issue of "which LOTR actors at which screening?" is supposed to be closed, but there's still something niggling me. Whatever the reason is for not disclosing this information (security or otherwise), it will be completely invalid come the Sunday. On the Sunday everyone will know which film each actor was at on the Saturday night. So they will know, in advance, who's going where, since each actor will attend the same film both nights. If this prior knowledge is going to cause a problem, this cannot be averted on the Sunday night. So what sense does it make not to tell us before the Saturday?
  4. Could someone please reply? The situation's worse in light of the news that the hobbits will be unable to sign autographs on the Saturday. I can only stay till mid-afternoon on the Sunday, then I have to catch my flight home. I'm more than a bit worried that I may not get to meet Elijah. This screening could be my only chance to see him.
  5. I said exactly the same thing. It's unfair and cruel of the organisers to withhold this information.
  6. This is a plea to showmasters on behalf of people, like me, who can only attend one LOTR screening. PLEASE will you tell us which actors will be at each film?! It's really agonising not knowing whether or not you've picked the right one to see your favourite star. When the tickets went on sale it was excruciating to have to choose between them - to make the "wrong" choice when, equally, you could have gone for the other one, is painful (whatever happened to "first come, first served"?). Anyway, that's water under the bridge. Now all the tickets are sold, what justification could there possibly be for prolonging the agony? Surely we have a fundamental right to know what we're getting for our hard-earned money? To be disappointed now, but have time to get used to it, would be easier than facing that disappointment on the night itself. I'm coming a long way to be at Collectormania, and it's part of my 21st birthday. It could well be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; it means a lot to me. All I want is to be able to look forward to it, rather than feeling anxious in case it backfires. Please understand this from a fan's point of view.
