One of the people who organises Dr Who events wanted to get some of them together for a collectomania a few months ago, but I don't know how viable it was. Allison was at a his Who event with her son who was in the new show.

That's almost 12 months away, either someone's paranoid they'll miss out or they're very keen.
It's 11 months exactly.
-
Sadly I gather his eyesight is failing him these days, he learns his scripts from audiotape
-
I think David would have the longest queues ever.
-
Impressive.
I'm not going though - I decided at Bad Wolf spending that much on transport & entry tickets & hotels is more than I want to spend, two on their own is ok but not all three at once.
-
Great ideas there, but why no Dr Who???
Showmasters have an involvement with Tenth Planet's Dr Who events.
There's at least 4 in the next 12 months.
-
I've only met one Star Trek actor, and that was for his part in a Dr Who audio I've not even heard yet!
-
Well you won't get John Abineri, he died in 2000.

This event was great, earls court two is far better than number 1 more space.
Maybe too much space? I have to admit, to be honest, I thought it seemed a bit quiet and empty on the Saturday. I arrived 10am and walked straight in, I was done by lunch time. And I wasn't rushing.
Even Sunday wasn't as hectic as last year, but that was busy enough. Maybe next time spread the stalls out a bit more.

Well the Christopher Lloyd autograph eventually for £77
Good for them. I've said it before, but if I could be sure such things would sell when I listed them, I'd buy a few spares for selling. It would pay for my one, and towards the transport and accomodation costs. I'd still never turn a profit, but it would finance my attending the next event.
So sure if you are spending all that time queuing for for 1 autograph from Chris, then you might have well have got more than one. If you could afford it.
He would of got through even less in the day if he'd dedicated them all!

It's usually from a specific guest .....
Didn't have one for London, did we?
-
. Give them time, it'll be done
Been a while since they've done this one

I was all done upstairs on Saturday by 2pm or so (arrived at 10am) so went down there for an hour or so to fill my camera up! There weren't many people down there, which was quite good.
-
What number did he get up to, and what time was he signing till?
-
enough. £300 or so.
But I would have spend another £100 on autographs had I been able to buy new merchandise I wanted for signing - but no one at the show had it! Ironically I found one of the bits afterwards in the exhibit... still nevermind!
-
They could of had a bit more space, it seemed a bit boxed in to me.
-
I have several collections on the go - Star Wars Annual, Dr Who DVD/CD sleeves, Trading cards. There's a lot of trading cards. And once you start...
And often an overlap between DW & SW. Still I think the most I have got so far from a SM event guest was only 5 - and that was Milton John. SWA, DW DVD, DW CD and two cards.
Someone like Peter Davison, I could find 20 items without trying, but common sense takes over usually.
-
That's the thing - this isn't a business show.
Well it is for them They pay to have a stand to sell merchandise. Hopefully!
I was only mentioning the business shows as I know something of how it works, the first stands to book normally get the best positions.
If anything its a good way to get extra money out of them; an organiser can charge more to give them an advert.
-
Just curious. I've attended business shows as both a visitor and on a stand and there's always a list of who's got a stand, who's on what number. It makes it easier to plan what order to visit people and spend money!
Surely one must exist from an admin point of view?
-
Surely the solution would just have the car behind a curtain with Mr Lloyd for the duration of the shoot, then wheel it out for general display afterwards. The Wheels help
However (never been in a photoshoot myself) I'd of thought it might take longer to pose with a Car than an actor!
-
Far less than I was going to, Autographs at Bad Wolf are costing me more than I thought.
-
There will be signs up for each line, no worries :)
Not that you can see the signs from the end of the queues around the other side of the building of course
-
It's been years since I've been to a convention, do people still make the effort?
No, I'd say less than 3% dress up.
-
7/10 for me there's enough, but a very fine line before there's too many.
It's a good thing I got Ralph Brown for SW:E1 last year, and not Alien3. Had I started on Alien this year would be too epensive.
Doctor who guests from the NEW series?

I'm such a fan that I'd of wanted David Tennant's auto even if he'd never become the 10th Doctor! He'd done work on the audios before.
