Well some of us have met John before but I'm guessing quite a few haven't. For those of you who don't know who he is he works with The Hillywood Show as costume designer for them and have worked on them with their Twilight Saga Parodies. He has one of the largest Twilight costume collections in the world. He would be an awesome edition to ET8 especially as it is the final one. He intrigued us with stories of working with The Hillywood cast as well as showing off his most impressive collection of Twilight costumes which rivals that of most of the Twilight cosplayers put together. I know he would love to do another ET and he misses everyone and would love to go out with a bang for the last Eternal Twilight.

My mum saw him Vegas last month and he mentioned coming to a UK con during Summer. I had my fingers crossed so much for one of the showmasters cons! And now here it is, confirmation. So happy!!

Hi there and welcome to the mad house. Everyone is really nice at these cons. I've been doing them since ET3 and did the Birmingham Proms before then. The guests (actors) are always lovely and all have great sense of humours. Hi ya,
We hope to have some more exciting guest announcements fairly soon. Been working on them for a while but the people we are talking to want to wait until a little nearer the event so they can be sure of their availability a bit more!
Will get party themes up soon but imagine everyone still wants Saturday night to be Fangtasia? Or would people prefer a change?

Mark just wanted to tell you I love you. Even though Games was cancelled the money is now going towards my Bitten ticket and hotel deposit instead so yay. I'm fine with the Fangtasia theme so if you have that on Sat totally not an issue for me.

Previous cons: ET3-7 (soon to be 8), Bitten 1-2. Most of the Collectormania MKs and LFACC and all the GMEXs they did
Fave movies: It varies. Though loving Burlesque at the moment
Fave music: A lot really bar probably rap and RnB.
Other interests: Making costumes, my horse, singing and that kinda stuff.

Has anyone booked the hotel recently and are they still doing the 25% deposit as with Hunger Games being cancelled I'm getting the money back from that and hoping to get a standard ticket for Bitten and using what is left to go towards my hotel.

Please please dont cancel this con I'm well up for it but need some time to get the pennies together as my Hunger Games con money is now going on Bitten instead.

Reading all this makes me tempted to go to the event just to see all the various costumes lol

As I mentiond on another thread. Being a guy aged 47 and there alone I feel awkward about trying to look at the Cosplay folk and not look like I am and seeming as if I'm weird or a perv (depending on the costumes) and asking if I can take pictures. Also asking random strangers to take a picture of me with them (and watch them run off with my camera) if they are happy to pose with me.
The whole Cosplay scene is absolutely fantastic to see, but so alien to me. I don't understand it but love seeing it on Youtube and see people enjoying it and having fun.
You shouldn't be too worried. I'm 24 so I'm not gonna find it creepy at all if you came over and ask for a pic. Seriously though as long as your not one of the guys who sees someone dressed skantly clad and just asks for a pic to get a bum grope your all good. Loads of guys did that to me at another event in Manchester last year. They got death glares and warnings.

In the afternoon/after I've met the Hunger Games cast: the Raggedy Doctor.
Oh I like this idea. Yeah I'm swaying for Katniss at the moment seems as the Hunger Games convention has been cancelled. What day are you going??
Saturday but I'll only be as Peeta for the morning (as I am part of the Doctor Who cosplay thingy)
Nah thats cool I'm there all weekend. I'll just make sure I wear Katniss on Saturday. Currently waiting for my jacket pattern to arrive so I can make it. I have the fabrics already.

I wasn't aware of there even being an official HG con.
The official US Twi cons are now becoming the US TVD and THG cons it would seem. See I've been a good girl too and not mentioned any names

Sadly we don't know if its the lack of interest from the actual guests or something written in their contracts. As far as I'm aware Josh H is very passionate about his fans. When we were at the premiere his PA was trying to rush him off to go speak to the press and he was like "I'm more interested in the fans, they have been waiting here a lot longer than the press so tell them they can wait"
I know, Josh is so sweet, I met him at the French Hunger Games premiere, he was the one who took the most time to sign and take pics with the fans. I'm more disappointed by the guests announced for the cons and by the lack of interest about the movie in Europe.
And I'm losing money with this cancellation!
Well the ones who were announced at least they are still interested as they are doing CM MK. But as I said we don't know if its in their contracts about not doing unofficial cons

what i think is a really shame is that the guest dosen't seem interested to meet the fans. That is something i think is really sad to hear!!!!
I agree with Andrea, we are ready to pay to meet them, even if they are not the main actors, and they don't want to come to meet their fans?!

any chance of getting extra autographs from the guest at as special price (like the con) for MK? I know it's cheecky but bought a gold for the con. I bought some stuff I wanted signed, some clothes etc
The autos will more than likely be the same price at CM MK as they would have been seperate at the con. You will be refunded your ticket money so you could always use that.

Any chance that you could reschedule Leven Rambin for LFFC or CMK? I'm a big fan of TSCC and would love to meet her. Thanks

This actually sucks as I was really looking forwards to this. Now I need to find out when I can do my costumes that I had planned for it. I only just put up on my blog yesterday about the con and it seemed a few people had gone to look at the website. Maybe try again later in the year because Hunger Games does have a massive fan base I just dont think enough people know about the cons.

I managed to do it easily.
At the risk of sounding the patronising how have you tried to do it?
I moved it to another part of the woods. then when I clicked on it then I clicked play song and it played fine. I don't know if you need to move the tree/bird of not. I just did it as it was close to something else that flagged up and made it tricky.
I had a similar issue with something on my game only it wasn't them mockingjay. I'd placed something to close to a tree and everytime I tried to finish it I kept cutting the tree instead. My only issue at the mo is I keep trying to ask for fire and it never lets me. The post to wall thing never comes up
Obtaining fire has me totaly stumped. I have no idea where you get that from other than asking friends.
