I think it's FANTASTIC, that the great Maverick, genius, rebel, icon & legend ... RODNEEEEEEY MARSH, has joined your team!
All credit to the 'Boy's of '66' etc..... But it's fantastic that the 'Mavericks', crowd pleasing, showman of supreme skill, that were so wrongly ignored by England managers in the 70's are being represented.
Rodney Marsh, Stan Bowles, Tony Currie, Alan Hudson, Charlie George, Frank Worthington.... and the late, great Peter Osgood and of course George Best, made the game entertaining & 'fun' to watch and drew huge crowds!
Apart from George, the other 'Bad Boy's' with God given talent, were ignored by England managers who liked work horses instead of sublime skill!
The result? we never got to the World Cup for 12 years!!!
Well done for representing those who played for the love of the game and a smile on their faces!!
' RODNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!!!!'
