    I am tempted to buy the gold pass as it is a milestone birthday for me next year, however, I will wait until more guests are announced.

     

    That's an idea, actually, I'm the same..... Darn these conventions draining my money! :thumbdown::laugh:

     

     

    Im betting that I will have good use of the Gold pass in the end. Im counting on the guest amount being awesome as usuall

    Whats YOUR opinion on paying for Autographs?

    I thought struck me that well there are thoose who dont and wont pay for autografs cause they can get them for "free" by going to places where the actors are etc, premieres etc. Thats alot of invested time in that aswell as money for trips and hotel.

     

    Timewise I invest very little Imo to get that amount of autographs I usually get on ComicCon (the London one). And having all the actors in one weekend. The way I see it I pay for the convenience of having them gathered in one room and one weekend. The only thing missing with buying an autograph or having a staged photoshoot is that you dont get the same thrill like when you get it for free in the street or behind a theatre and having a photoshoot that is more improvised and sudden (donno a good word for it really)... Like my avatar with David Tennant. Its in London behind the Wyndhams Theatre in London.

     

    In short I dont think its bad to pay for autographs. Perhaps not £135 though... :smile:

    Not booked yet, will do in the coming months once the tickets are put on sale. Not staying at PI this time as that was a disgrace last year, plus a near 20 minute hike, way too far on aching feet. Will survey options this time properly :)

    I've always enjoyed staying in the premier inn. Reasonably priced as well

     

     

    Dont get me wrong, I like staying in PI hotels, but that Kensington one was just horrific,

     

    • Couldnt open the windows (sealed shut)
    • Aircon that coughed air at you and didnt cool the room
    • Winter quilts used in the height of summer (that had to be ditched to even be able to get some sleep)
    • Carpets were ripped and warped in the corridors (
    • Front desk staff missing in action (he left his pager on the front desk so was left in limbo)

    Was not the experience I want in a PI, so wont be going back to that one again.

     

     

    It is intresting what different experience people get from the same hotel sometimes, read alot of good stuff on TripAdvisor. I never stayed at this but I hope for the best (stayed at a couple of other ones with a baby even and its been really good), sad to hear you had a bad experience. Lets hope Im more lucky. And that you get a better stay at the other place. :smile:

    I've always enjoyed staying in the premier inn. Reasonably priced as well

     

     

    We stayed at another PI in London and one in Liverpool and they were really good I think so :) I think it was 15 min walk to olympia with this one. Better than I had last year with 45 min with bus... :D
