Hi
Just out of curiosity, is there going to be a Sherlocked UK in 2018?

All the Money in the World - Christopher Plummer is brilliant. Great film.
Hear, hear! To say he did the whole thing in just 9 days, it really doesn't show.
I also enjoyed The Greatest Showman over the Xmas holiday.

I was battling with a head cold and cough all week leading up to the con, so I apologise for the noise I made during some of the talks. The problems getting to Birmingham on the Friday didn't help either. Having said all that, I'm so glad I made it!
Never got to the parties (too bloody tired), but made the drinks receptions to meet the guests, and the quiz on Sunday, and was part of the winning team. One thing.... with not needing to get every auto and photo, the schedule was more manageable. I really enjoyed the singalong in the queue for Marcia's photoshoot on Sunday afternoon!
Here'a hoping for better health next year, and that the dates aren't awkward for booking time off work.

So, as Martin will be in London starring in a new play when Sherlocked Con is happening, and not off filming in far off lands, does this increase the chances of getting him as a guest at Sherlocked Con in October? I mean sure, he's clearly busy on the Saturday, but his show is dark on Sundays, and it's not a long train ride to Birmingham. *fingers crossed*
And in case people haven't heard, he's in Labour of Love from Sept 15th through Dec. 2nd at the Noel Coward Theatre labouroflovetheplay.co.uk/
I've been to the play in preview, thought it was brilliant, and now it's opened the reviews have been great! If you can get a seat for it, go!

"Why yes, I am a certified medical professional. I have a note from my Mum that says so"
I'm tempted by these as well https://www.amazon.co.uk/Unisex-Budget-Medical-Scrub-Set/dp/B01KI6K0I2/ref=sr_1_5?s=clothing&ie=UTF8&qid=1505851363&sr=1-5&nodeID=1731219031&psd=1&keywords=Doctor&th=1&psc=1
I have used the official NHS badge template to help me make an ID badge, and bought an NHS lanyard from Amazon. Wear it with civvies and I'm a consultant paediatrician at St. Caedwalla's Hospital.
Still not sure of what to do for the Victorian gothic, though.

This weekend it will be 12 months since last year's event at Excel! Where has the time gone?

All I know is I've booked my ticket for the play on 30/09/17. Anyone else going?
-
Looking forward to seeing her!

Many thanks TPL!
I know you all suggested this before but, yes, it would be great if we could all arrange some meetups over the weekend if possible, dinner/parties/ect.
I'm definitely up for meetups during the weekend!
Include me in!

Hi Everybody!
What do you think of the party themes? Any ideas for costumes yet?
-
I've got almost everyone (I'm looking at you, Freeman) in my Chronicles, so maybe I'll just go with that and ignore the fact it doesn't cover S4 or TAB.
I'm mulling over this as well, but maybe I'll just get my con programme signed this time.
Unless there's an updated edition of Chronicles before October?

She was on my wishlist for last year's event, so this is lovely.

Will be interesting to see how they cater for the larger bodied amoungst us with regards to that!
I'm glad I'm not the only one worrying about that!
-
For those asking - the Hilton has only charged me £30 up front cost. So in spite of the confusing messages when booking it seems that the rest is paid on arrival.
I've just checked my credit card account online, and I've only been charged £30 as well.

Hello!
Just out of curiosity, how "limited" will the tickets be in each category?
-
It goes without saying that we want Benedict and Martin but apart from those who else would everyone like to see?
Cast
Toby Jones
Vinette Robinson
Sian Brooke
David Nellist
Russell Tovey
Crew
Would love to have any of the directors if that were possible.
Add to that Lindsay Duncan, Sacha Dharwan (spelling?), Natasha O'Keefe,

I'll bet that we three will be close to the first Platinum numbers, though. A lot of people won't make the outlay yet without a single guest announced.
I honestly wasn't expecting this to be today's announcement! But I'm very excited to be doing it all again. I've never been to any con other than Sherlocked so I haven't experienced a hotel con before, but I like the idea a lot.
I did! Platinum ticket booked and hotel room sorted

Pleasantly surprised I got Benenidict signature early with hardly any queing. When I saw he was there and it said platinum 1-50 I asked what time to come back as im 173 but they just waved me right through
That happened to me too! I think a lot of Platinums were starting to queue for Mark's photo shoot, and it didn't make sense to keep those with slightly higher numbers waiting.
While in the queue, I was able to see through a gap in the partition to the rear hall entrance all the guests were using. i saw Benedict having a ride on Jason's scooter!

Classification of package groups and activity areas.
Next time please make these distinct from each other. Currently we have the package groups by letter Plat A, Plat B ect but the photo booths are also A and B. This is causing massive confusion for the people who don't come to these events regularly and who don't know how it works. The number of times now I've explained it to people on Facebook I couldn't say. Please use a different identification system to avoid confusion.
Thank you!
Appledore and Baker Street?

Hello
If you guys had a meet up on Friday... I missed it! My train was late getting into Euston (some hold up near Harrow) and I was dashing to get to my hotel and check in before coming to Excel.
Friday night was less hectic than last year, and I had very few problems getting photos of the props and costumes. I got loads of autographs on Saturday morning, meaning a bit less time queuing on Sunday.
With all the extra talks going on in the main stage, I didn't manage to get to all of them. I missed a lot of Phil Davis' talks, and Louise's, to make sure I had BC, Mark and Loo's autos on my Sherlock Chronicles book. Shout out here to Too Tall who let me into Benedict's auto queue as other Platinum's were at Marks photo shoot on Sunday morning! I deliberately missed Andrew's to attend Arwel's on the second stage, and shortly after hearing the stories about elephants I saw the elephant costume in one of the autograph queues. Great fun!
I hope that a future con won't be at this time of year. I'm back in work and cream-crackered!
-
Hi
I hadn't seen this query, so I'm wondering how long is each talk on the main stage scheduled to last?
-
1 more day. but also as it means it will be over soon.
Okay, just for fun...
One day more
Another day, another con, you see
This never ending road to baker Street
Our man, who always solves the crime
We're going to see a second time!
I know the last line won't apply to everyone, but on the spur of the moment....

Tv and movie guest suggestions

Hello!
I haven't posted for a while as there haven't been any of the hotel-based, specific show-themed cons running for ages. Apart from the Sherlocked events (which I adored) I've not been able to get to the bigger comic-con style events. I did see the Facebook post on your home page saying that you now want to organise some more smaller events in the future. As I don't use Facebook, can I put my 5 cents' worth here?
I'd love to see:- Hobbit/LOTR; Harry Potter, especially if you could get some of the actors who have done the stage show alongside the film actors; Gotham would be good too.
