  1. Is Irvin Kershner a first time signer for Showmasters? He was scheduled to attend a recent show but pulled out due to ill health, but I understand he has since attended some US conventions. He would be at the top of my list of preferred signers and it would be a fitting end to this years ESB 30th anniversary celebrations.
  2. I met Ewan at a Waterstone's book signing a few years ago (for The Way Around book) and there were fewer people there than you would expect and that was also in the middle of Oxford Street, so I don't think that the Showmasters venues would pose much of a problem to him!
  3. How about selling high priced tickets for a set number of guaranteed autographs at the beginning of the day (to essentially secure the guest)and then a normal rate for those prepared to go into a virtual queuing system but run the risk of not necessarily getting an autograph later in the day? I'm sure that there are ways and means around the situation to ensure that everyone is in with a shot to see a special guest. I know that I wouldn't be too upset to know that I paid £350 for a guaranteed autograph from a guest but that someone who was prepared to take a risk of not getting it only had to pay £25 later in the day.
  4. I don't know how likely this is ever going to be and like others I recall a similar topic being posted a while back. It would be interesting to one day put it to the test, i.e. for SM to find out how much it would cost to book the likes of Harrison Ford, determine how much an autograph will cost and how many tickets they would need to sell to make it worth their while (or indeed how many HF would be prepared to sign in a day) and then do a pre-book system with him only being booked if the tickets are all sold by a given date. I have at least 3 items that I would like HF to sign and would imagine people coming from all over the world for the opportunity (I know I would go to the States if it could be recommended to see him at an event).
  5. The Premiere that you refer to is actually on the 9th not the 29th
  6. It would be nice to see some Bond stars from the more recent movies, whilst I appreciate that some of the bigger named actors are unlikely to come there are still some interesting characters that should be possible (many of whom are based in Europe rather than the US): Caterina Murino Claudio Santamaria Richard Sammel Ludger Pistor Ivana Milicevic (there were engineering works on the trains the last time she appeared) The harder ones: Jeffrey Wright Giancarlo Giannini Isaach De Bankole Jesper Christensen (I hear he doesn't like signing and scribbles)
