  1. I was just a kid when Thatcher was around and in my teens when Major was PM. As far as I know my parents say they were better off under them than Labour of today. I agree. I started college when tories was still in power. Had free transport with bus pass and all, no fees, etc... As soon as Labour came in, I had to pay my own bus fare, was hit with the max tuition fees. It became a real struggle.

  2. I am completely shocked. I remember meeting him at LFCC4. Such a nice guy.

He will be sorely missed. My sympathy goes out to his family and friends.

    Rest in peace Don.

    You will never be forgotten.

  3. I think we may be saying bye bye to Italy and France. Can't see Holland fielding a full strength team against Romania, infact I can see Holland letting Romania win as they've won the group and have nothing to play for. I know it's wrong and shouldn't happen, but if I was Holland I'd like the fact of not having to possibly play Italy or France later on in the tournament again.

  4. I'm watching it when I get chance. Obviously can't when I'm in work

I got Portugal and Italy in the sweepstakes in work. Not getting my hopes up with them though as I had Brazil in the world cup sweepstake 2 years ago :P

I do wonder how on earth England lost to croatia and Russia though, as watched them both and to put it blunt they both played absolutely rubbish!

  5. We got stuck on Tuesday too. Thought we'd be smart and avoid hassle on Monday but shouldnt have bothered. We got to MK station at 9.20 and the delays started popping up on the board. We had to get the train to Lancaster and had a 13 minute window, then on to Edinburgh for our train to Inverness. The lady almost laughed when I said we needed to go north. We got a ticket to London, another £30 expense which took almost 2 hours. Then underground another £8 to Kings Cross and had to wait until 3pm to get a train north to Edinburgh, and on to Inverness.

Finally got Inverness at 11.15pm and into the house at 11.50pm.

Never was I so glad to see my house.

Oh well doing this all again for C14.

It's a cheek that they make you pay more when it's their fault!

You should get a complaints form and claim it all back. Hope you did.
