  1. Ahh, I'm not sure what to do. I planned to download but the thought of sitting up waiting for the download knowing it's airing here as I wait... But then there is the ads to consider. I know that's it's being simulcast with the West Coast airing but how will they get away with showing violence at that time of the morning?

  2. One thing, you do realise the finale airs in America on the 23rd? This Sunday? They have 6x16 tomorrow night like normal. You could get it Monday morning! Or stay up like I'm going to :YAHOO:

:YAHOO: I didnt know this! :D so Finale aint on a Tuesday night like always?

Ill d/l tomorrow morning, I cant stay up cause Im at work at 12 so need sleep lol, I d/l and watch in my lunch break, my wednesday lunch break is 10mins longer than It should be thanks to lost :-p

Nope, this week is officially finale week. America have a huge night planned Sunday, a two hour clip show, the 2 and half hour finale, followed by a Jimmy Kimmel Lost special. Sky1 are keeping their slot Friday though so anyone who doesn't download have even longer to wait. I can't remember exactly why they changed the day, but it ends on one of the numbers! :YAHOO:

  3. I'm really bad for staying up to download Lost. Normal episodes air 2am - 3am our time. So the finale will be 2am - 4:30am. The place I go for downloads are normally up within an hour or two, but of course it being a longer episode it will take longer to put up and to download. It also depends whether they put it up as two separate episodes or one.

  4. Absolutely hated this episode.

    The light tunnel was crap

Smocke was fitting a wheel to turn light, firstly this makes no sense and secondly how did he ever work this out? The wheel is later fitted so why didn't Smocke just turn it then to leave.

Why question the 'sense' of the light? Did time travel make sense? Does the smoke monster make sense? Does the whisper make sense? No. You have to accept that things just are without a scientific reason. It would be crap if they drained the show dry with the 'how's' because it's unexplainable. I know saying 'he just knew' about the wheel is a weak answer but really, he just knew. And as for not turning the wheel... he can't leave the island. That's the whole storyline of the last season. He wants to kill the Candidates after killing Jacob so he can leave. And when/if he kills them, it makes sense that is how he will leave.

The 'mother' made the kids immortal, yet they still grew to be adults, how does that work.

Actually she didn't make them immortal. She made them not be able to kill each other. Later when she made Jacob her replacement was when Jacob became immortal and 'like her.' The Man in Black wasn't made immortal, he died, at least that body did. And the smoke (whether it's just smoke or it has the soul of MiB) takes on the form of dead MiB, meaning he wouldn't age.

The light goes out the world ends....save the cheerleader save the world huh, oh yeah different show

I'm sorry, didn't Heroes just get cancelled? Point made.

The 'mother' gave no indication of how long she'd been there, or that she had been looking for a replacement, the kids just landed on her lap. However Jacob has made a big deal about finding his replacement, no reason for this was given.

That isn't really relevant to the story we're watching now. The portion of the island's history we needed to know about was how Jacob was chosen. For all we know Mother wasn't even the first Protector. This quite possibly has been going on over and over. Infact I'm pretty sure it has. Would you want to know about all of them? It'd get a bit out of control. They covered the history we needed to understand.

Smocke was going to leave without killing anyone so now why does he have to get rid of everyone, just turn the bloody wheel.

He was going to leave because he was just a normal human and could leave. Mother physically stopped him. The smoke that got released has to stick by the rules because it came from the cave that Mother/Jacob was protecting. Remember the whole 'the island is a cork keeping the darkness in' talk? The smoke is that darkness. And it's either just a pillar of smoke and MiB getting chucked down there released it. Or it was able to leave the cave because MiB's soul transferred to it giving it 'life.' Regardless, it can't leave while Jacob and his candidates are alive.

I was worried they'd ruin lost and with three episodes left I'm not feeling confident it'll turn out well.

  5. I cannot take to Zoe at all! She's more annoying than Nikki, Paulo or Froggart ever were!

But not as bad as Ana Lucia! :YAHOO:

One of those episodes which sets the scene for future events, probably suffers a bit following the quality of episode 9.

    6 to go.....

I don't get the Ana Lucia hate at all! She's amazing <3. And actually it's 8 to go! 17 and 18 airs the same night though. So it all be over in 8 weeks, (there's a week break between episode 13 and 14).

  6.

It will be interesting to see if there is a simple explanation of everything at the end, just looking at the above posts, it's clear that big LOST fans are coming up with different opinions on why things are happening etc, I'd hate to think what a casual viewer must think of it all and you would hope the writers will make it an ending which will cater for everyone.

This will sound mean, but I really hope they don't do that. I'd be annoyed if they try and aim the whole ending of the series so the casual viewers who decide to watch Desperate Housewives instead every other week can understand. We watched for 6 years straight for a reason. I don't think they will, but Damon and Carlton did say that even people who had never seen Lost before could understand this almost stand-alone season. Whether that's true or not, I don't know.

  7.

If 815 landed safely, we assume Widmore didn't send the freighter, and they didn't go back to the 70s. So Miles and Sawyer met as cops. So how did Miles know Charlotte, and why did Sawyer use LaFleur as his emergency word ? I assumed last week that no freighter meant that Ben raised Alex in the same way and they left the island. But now I think on it, he was Dr Linus as opposed to "dad" so did they meet recently in the "real world" ? I assume Russeau is still her mother .....

My head hurts - if the sideways flashes mean that certain things didn't happen, how do they come to still be referenced ?:(:uhoh::(:uhoh::P:uhoh::D:uhoh::D:uhoh:

Ok you're totally confusing things! So, Widmore not sending the freighter isn't what is controlling everything in the Flash-sideways. The island sunk after Dharma settled there, (we're still not 100% on how it sank), and that's what causes all the differences, because Flight 815 physically can't crash there.

In last weeks episode Ben and his father talk about the island, so we know they still went there but left before it sank. Supposedly Danielle and therefore Alex never end up on the island, but once again that depends on when the island sank. Regardless, Ben and Alex meet in that time-line as teacher and student, we assume that Danielle is still her mum.

LaFleur as the codeword was probably just a nod to Dharma times as there were a lot of parallels to it. Certain things are the same because they happen before the island sunk, like Cooper conning Sawyer's dad and that's why they get referenced. But basically because of the island not existing, and we assume that would get rid of Jacob too, then all the characters lives after that point would change.

In theory, Jacob never gives a pen to little Sawyer, so Sawyer doesn't become a con-man, he becomes a cop. Little things that the characters never even realised actually shaped their lives. All the characters still meeting, despite not happening through the island, happens because it's fate. But Miles and Charlotte, and obviously Miles' dad too, know each other because one would assume they still were Dharma kids, we know they left on the sub anyway, it's just the question of how does Pierre get off the island in that time-line.

The question I have is, how did Locke end up in his wheelchair in that time-line? His dad supposedly is still a con-man, (unless in that time-line it's a different Anthony), but in Locke's episode it was hinted he got on fine with his dad and you wouldn't invite someone who pushed you out a window to your wedding! And then there's also the point of Jacob was there after he broke his spine and he appeared to actually revive Locke. If Jacob didn't exist in that moment would Locke have died? And if in that time-line Jacob doesn't exist... then Locke must have got his injury another way.

Phew! I hope that makes sense!

  8. Did anyone? :whistling:

Awh, I did! She wasn't that bad :D Michelle Rodriguez <3

    Is someone really coming though?

There could be. Jacobs last words before being kicked into the fire by Flocke (Fake Locke) was "there coming".

True. I assumed he meant the ones stuck in 1977 were coming (to the present). But I like that^ I hope there is someone coming.

  9. Is someone really coming though? I thought Jacob made it clear he was just doing it to get them away from the Temple and to mess with Jack's head. I think if someone really is out there it will probably be someone we know.

And you thought Juliet was annoying? :YAHOO: I loved Juliet! Did you like Ana Lucia?

  10. I thought it would be good idea to share our Twitters and any other Lost-related Twitters that you would recommend following for the final Season. What with it ending in a few months I'm determined to make the most of it and my Twitter lacks some serious Lostness!

And will anyone else actually cry when it finishes? Because I think I actually might :\

Mine is http://twitter.com/dreamcatcher23 Follow me! :P

And I'd recommend following the main bad boys! (But obviously beware of spoilers if you follow on UK time)

    http://twitter.com/TheRealDamon <--- The man himself.

    http://twitter.com/CarltonCuse <--- Another genius.

    http://twitter.com/DarkUFO (All round goodness)

http://twitter.com/lostpedia (Anyone that doesn't use Lostpedia needs to start. Like. Now.)

http://twitter.com/gjacksbeard (The guy that plays Hurley has a podcast!)

http://twitter.com/Lost_Initiative (Pretty bad UK Lost podcast but it brings in the lols)

So yeah! Tweet away and don't let this thread fall flat on it's face! >_<

Oh and I forgot http://twitter.com/iansomerhalder BOONE!

  11. I'm the complete opposite! While I like seeing the off-island storyline, the on-island story is the stuff that really matters to me.

Obviously this episode was kind of a let down from the premiere, but they did hint at a few big reveals to come. The sickness. Claire.

But I do suddenly hate Kate and the whole flash-sideways seemed a bit dodgy but at least we got some Ethan!

  12. Agreed. Turning a wheel to move the island isn't exact science either, so you kinda just have to accept that it blew them back in time :gorgeous:

You ever seen Fringe? *And no spoilers of S2 please because I'm on Sky1 time* but in S1 Olivia got glimpses of an alternate reality, so I wouldn't be surprised if something similar happened in Lost. Maybe Juliet's concious jumped to the other time-line, she clearly wanted to go have coffee with someone! And Jack seemed to be having deja vu in the plane. The two time-lines have got to merge at some point to make it all worth while I think.

  13. Watched it yesterday and enjoyed it, bit confusing though.

Watching two different timelines/universes is interesting, but will probably cause more confusion than usual. But why did the original lot go back to the time of the hatch being blown up, rather than staying where they were, or just becoming the people in the other timeline?

How many timelines are we actually watching? Obviously the newly created one where they never crashed, then there's Jake, Kate, Sawyer, etc on the island, but Locke, Ben, Sun, etc were on another timeline, have Jack and co joined their timeline?

    Might need to rewatch :P

I hope this helps slightly :P

The people in 1977 have now joined the people in 2007, so there's only one time-line we're seeing on the island.

For one thing, we're not sure that the bomb made the island sink in the parallel time-line, but if the survivors in 1977 did cause that then it creates a paradox. If they blow up a bomb that stops them ever being on the island, then they won't ever be there to detonate the bomb in the first place, so that time-line can't actually exist.

Therefore, we're seeing two time-lines coexisting at the same time. One where the island isn't there to crash on (which will radically alter some characters lives) and another (the original time-line) supposedly where the bomb didn't work/they just created the Incident.

  14.

I was gutted at some of the music being removed. I got the DVD fro my christmas and one of my favourite scenes is George's transformation the house to smack your bitch up, it is just not the same with out that song.

I even noticed that when Herick is supposed to say somthing like I snese a bad moon rising he says a sense a werewolf rising.

Its stupid things like that that have ruined DVD a bit for me. I would have just downloaded the tv eps if I had known

Yeah, the DVD was sort of a waste of money. I'm even more annoyed as BBC3 iPlayer has all the episode's up for viewing except episode 2 has audio-description over it with no way to turn it off. Kinda distracting.

  15. got to admit I purposely avoided this show, a drama comedy about a wear-wolf, ghost and vampire on bbc 3, seemed all a bit naff, plus Im not toveys biggest fan.

BUT ive just caught an episode on bbc3 whilst flicking and all the ppl on here saying how great it is ect prompted me to watch, gotta say I really enjoyed it, the focus is more on the drama with comedy bits and I was worried it would be the other way round.

Lenora Crichlow is simply beautiful and her character is very interesting, though Im still not sure on tovey, so many lines seem poorly delivered, with loads of gaps, is that his acting or him cos im sure he was like that in VOTD.

ive series linked it to see the rest of the series, really enjoyed it. the ep I caught was were the kid dies and mitchel is accused of being a pedo, though how annoying was the kids mum, wanted to slap her, reminded me a little of the woman in series 2 of spooks who goes off on one against tom when she learns he is a spook. but I digress lol

good series, will have a look for the dvd. (edit, reading about it seems the dvd has hardly any special features and has alot of music replaced due to rights, can anyone elaborate on this?)

shame this con was canceled, but still although I liked it I doubt id fork out for a specific con, especially without lenora. (i have only watched one ep lol)

how is it doing in the ratings?

im looking forward to catching the start of the series and getting into it, really enjoyed the ep I saw

I think Tovey plays George perfectly.

As for the DVD... one of the amazing things about Being Human is the music and on the DVD a lot of it is replaced by a more generic score (I think). I only watched a few eps on the DVD before I gave up, without the music is kinda lost it's sparkle. If you haven't seen it before you might not notice a difference, but I'm re-watching on BBC iPlayer instead of using the DVD.

  16. When Bella's about to jump off the cliff and she's speaking aloud to Edward... am I the only one that wanted her to turn and glare at him when she said 'You wanted me to be human. Watch me!'? I dunno, I felt like it would have made more of an impact

  17. Best bits:

The film made me love Jacob, which I never expected and it had nothing to do with his nakedness.

The CGI amazed me, the wolves fighting... <3!

I loved the use of every soundtrack song. Especially Hearing Damage, Slow Life, Possibility and Shooting The Moon.

I loved the way the blank pages/month pages were incorporated. And just generally the way the whole movie was filmed and those little clever camera movements.

Billy Burke and Anna Kendrick were brilliant.

I LOVED the extra little scenes like seeing Edward after he calls Bella's house and the flash of Bella as a vampire. Which makes me wonder... I found this on Play: http://www.play.com/Gadgets/Gadgets/4-/121...et/Product.html Did Bella get given a Crest ring? Or was she wearing it in the future? I can't remember, but they must have gotta it from somewhere in the film for it to be a prop, right? I need to see it again!

I'm still not sure about the ending though, I'm surprised that so many people love it, it felt so abrupt? And just the whole general portrayal of Edward bothered me a bit but I can't work out why. Not the hallucinations, I loved those, but just the bit when he's back in Forks. Perhaps it is because they cut some of the emotion/the awesome speech towards at the end to fit in all the important parts of the book and it felt rushed. But it was much much much better than Twilight. Perhaps because really it IS Jacob's book that I just felt Edward and Bella's relationship had lost it's... sparkle. (No pun intended, but the sparkling was better!) Or it could just be that I'm suddenly so Team Werewolf that I'm seeing things wrongly.

ohh you make a very good point about the ring. Maybe thats what she was opening when she cut her finger? it looked jewlery box shaped. Well it certainly wasnt plane tickets lol maybe thats it?

Judging by what Carlisle and Esme were saying I assumed it was plane tickets. 'You've been looking kind of pale lately.' 'Just something to brighten your day.' I could be wrong! It'll drive me nuts though, the vampire vision would make most sense for her to have on. http://everglowmedia.net/gallery/displayim...-785&pos=34 Click the picture to make it bigger and you can kinda of see a ring shape on what would be her ring finger?
