  1. Just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the crew for making the weekend so amazing - even Darren with his incredible lack of Stargate knowledge! I will never forget the lip sync battle with Massive Events very own version of Take That

Thank you to the guests for making me laugh so much during the talks ... at the drinks receptions and the guest encounter with Doug. And Gary's commentary at the screening ... Really who was that guy?!

And a special thank you to Fiona, Lisa and Sheila for letting me tag along with them over the weekend.

I really hope this won't be the last Chevron ... But if it is then it was a great way to finish.

Just one more thing ... Any chance someone could post the group photo taken at the end of the closing ceremony on here please for those of us who aren't on Facebook.

You are very welcome and let's hope we have another Chevron :)

  2. This change of date has confirmed for me that I won't be attending the event any more. As a teacher, this is part of my precious holiday time and I won't be in the country. I was wavering anyway with all the problems last year of overcrowding etc. and I can't say I really enjoy the event any more. I'll miss my geeky weekends in London but they aren't the same as they were at Earls Court. Would have come for a day, though, if it had been earlier in the month.

  3. I agree with much of the above. Saturday was horrible. Too busy and the queues for stairs and lifts were a serious problem. Photoshoots must be on one level so people can get from one to another more quickly. And, A was moved but the change not marked on all the floor layouts so we spent a while searching for a non-existent photo area. I'll not be coming for 2 days again because it's just not the fun it used to be. It was also a shame that the cosplay was so tucked away. This is so much part of the whole event and felt a bit sidelined. And maybe the poor crew at the photoshoots could do with megaphones!!

  4. Sometimes when I click on the forum I get adult sites popping up behind the forum which I could really do without. Is there any way Showmasters can put a stop to this? It's not anything I've ever looked up from this end and, as this is a school computer - I'm a teacher, it worries me that it might look as though I've been looking at sites that I haven't. It's also offensive because they are always offering 'web chats' or something similar.
