  1. Ok, so Nobody answered my first question. But maybe you have the answers to the others. (There are some spoilers here for Dog Soldiers and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake)

In dog soldiers, howcome the woman isnt already a werewolf like the rest of the family, and she changes into one later?

In the texas chainsaw massacre remake, when they go to the old mill place two of the characters go off to make a phone call, they get to the crazy peoples house and phone for the sheriff, when the lead character gets off the phone she says  the sheriff will be about 30 mins. But while they are out the house the "sheriff is already at the van with the other characters". I dont get this. Is the sheriff that turns up at the van the real sheriff but just a dodgy one, or is he just pretending to be a sheriff, in which case. Who was that they rang up? Was it just the people from the gas station who were kind of in on it all, or was it the real sheriff, in doubley case, why didnt he show up?

In Dog Soldiers, the Werewolfs have the ability to change at will. The woman remaining as a human in the first part of the film was more beneficial to her werewolf pack. She was able to deceive the army guys and lead them back to their lair and wait for the right opportunity. Remember, she did let them into the house towards the end of the movie. Plus, it made for an unexpected shock/surprise.

Oh that makes a lot of sense. I see what you mean. Thanks.

I am no longer going to have sleepless nights over that!

  2. Hi Kat. I was there Saturday and briefly on the Sunday, went home about 3pm.

Sorry I missed you to say Hi. Maybe next time?

Oh by the way...Leo Rossi sang the first lines of Amazing Grace into my video camera before becoming embarrassed and yelling 'Cut'. lol I also got Robert to yell something Freddy like into the camera. Shame Jason has never spoken... lol

    Obi-Wan ;)

    Yeah definately next time!

How cool is that, I wouldn't imagine he would get embarassed about that though. He looks like a mafia crook!

  3. Cabin Fever - Really disappointed. It was awful. One of the worst films I have ever seen.

Urban Legends 2 - Starts off ok with the first murder in the bath tub, then gets really wanky.

My Little Eye - Didn't like this much, very boring, last scene is quite disturbing though.

Driller Killer - Totally agree with you. Its painfully dull.

Cant think of any others at the moment.....

  4. I just watched cabin fever, and have to say, it was one of the worst films I have ever seen, it bored me too tears. Wasn't scary, and WTF was that stuff with the little karate boy?

  6. I once served Betsy Duncan Smith (Ian Duncan Smiths Wife) in the newspaper shop where I worked. She bought pot noodles and some reduced stale jaffa cakes, and she gave me a funny look!

  7. Im on a roll here -

The other one I remembered was from Night of the Hunter with Robert Mitchum.

One of the scenes, is I think, where his shadow is on the wall of the childrens bedroom.

and the other is where there is a lady (I cant remember who it is, I've not seen it for years). I think it is the childrens mother. Anyway she is dead in her car and you see her underwater, its very eerie, and beautifully shot.

  8. Another scene I found really quite terrifying was from the mothman prophecies. where he is on the phone with Indrid Cold.

    or whatever he was called.

I've read John Keel's book as well, although he tends to jump to conclusions that suit his theory, it is a very interesting book. Worth reading if you have seen the mothman prophecies.

  9. It doesn't spook me now but when I was a kid it was the first time I saw Michael Myers sit up and look left after Laurie had left him for dead outside that closet. That was so eerie, and the way he slowly ambled toward her in the background afterwards.

    Obi-Wan <_<

Yeah the first time I found that film it scared the crap out of me.

The bit where she is trying to get back into the house and tommy is asleep is just edge of the seat stuff!

I also was scared in a similar way when Michael was after Laurie in Halloween 2. the bit with the lift and everything.

  10. lol, the shining is damn good, although i mostly found it hilariously funny.

    Which bits were funny??

Actually Shelley Duvall is quite funny in it, and deeply irritating.

  11. That bit from the shining is s*** scary isn't it.

Actually most bits from the shining are s*** scary.

Its a very disturbing film. I have always wanted the pictures that scatman corruthers has on his wall though!

  12. Skeet Ulrich looks frighteningly like Johnny Depp doesnt he. Skeet is more attractive in my opinion as well!

I think scream is quite good, it was the first horror film I ever saw (all the way through - I did see some of the shining). So its what got me into horror films.

The first scene is a little gory though. Depends if you mind a tiny bit of gore, or if it freaks you out.
