Is this a large venue, like Olympia...?

I am just a bit dubious about travelling to MK (a fair distance) and then not getting in, if it's free and there are not tickets.

It's in a shopping centre that is open to the general public, the guests and stalls are in an open area at the back of the centre surrounded by shops that is open to everyone. You can't "not get in".

  2. You are correct, the only way you would get the entry ticket refunded would be if the event was cancelled and the only way you would get refunds on photo tickets would be if the event was cancelled or the guest cancelled.

I don't think there's an official change or anything, some they do refund cash though.  It might be a simple case that it's the smaller guests who it doesn't cost them much to refund that they do cash refunds for, but I'm guessing.

I assume that @showmasters has changed the refund policy on photoshoots again?

As per below with regards to Colin Baker not making it to Glasgow.

I don't know if this was info that was made public and I have just missed it.

For people with lack of self control with money (as in an idiot like me haha), I would have probably booked photo shoots for Glasgow when I had money available. Instead I didn't want to risk guest cancellation and be left with a load of vouchers that I may not have been able to use and a such I've spent my cash elsewhere in life.

This is not a complaint, just feedback

Just pointing out that a lot of information seems to not be available as of late, without a lot of investigation.

I appreciate that a larger number of the casual customers will use social media mostly. But personally the forum for me is the main feed for up to date Showmasters related info. And as of late it seems to be getting more and more neglected.

It doesn't specify it'll be a cash refund though, may still be vouchers.

For anyone wondering -- Cash refunds are not an 'additional refund option' instead of vouchers, they are WHAT YOU ARE ENTITLED TO according to consumer law. You are entitled to a full refund back to the original method of payment (which obviously most of the time, will be 'cash' via a card, or bank account).

Vouchers are fine if the consumer agrees - If you don't want a voucher and want a cash refund, that is what you should get. note that this has been tried in Court, when British Airways tried to refuse refunds and instead fob people off with vouchers/credit notes, and was wrong to do so. It's called Statutory Rights. as the company - in this case Showmasters - has cancelled the event / purpose for which people have purchased tickets, they should NOT be trying to fob people off with vouchers.

This is really unethical from Showmasters.

When you purchase tickets the terms & conditions state that refunds will be in the form of vouchers so by purchasing and agreeing to the terms the consumer has agreed to it.

Says who?  You can clearly see that mine and Daniel's are different.

General consensus on various autograph groups on Facebook. There seems to be (from memory) 3 different variants but there are tell tale signs (I'm no expert, just passing on what I read). Also people have successfully had refunds when they challenged the authenticity.

Bear-ly. There are a lot of polar-ising viewpoints and you wouldn't want to panda to pressure from either side without thinking it through care-fur-ly. That would be a political Boo Boo and sure to make many feel grizzly.

For the geeks among us today is a very special day.

    02022020

Reads the same both ways. First time this has happened since 11th November 1111.

In case you're wondering (probably not) it's not too long until the next one. 21st December next year. Then you've got to wait until the year 3030!

    It's all just......

    wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey-gif-7.gif

21 12 2021 isn't a palindrome. 12th February next year will be the next one and we've had quite a few since the start of this century. What was special about yesterday was that it was a palindrome whether the date was written in the UK or US style. The next one that will be true is, I think, the 3rd March 3030.

Showing my age..First saw Star Wars January 1st 1977 at a cinema in Tottenham Court Road.it was one of the first public showings in the U.K(none of this midnight screening nonsense) we were around 30th in the queue. The  queue that morning went on for over a mile..Till this day nothing takes away the roar of the Imperial cruiser in the first scene as it comes into view. So with the last film planned for December it's been a heck of a journey.

    I think you mean 1978.

I presume so they can just go straight in as it were.  As they don't have to have their ticket scanned it might be a huge queue of day ticket holders they have to queue with especially on Saturday, so it might be doable to have day tickets queue one way and weekend the other way around the building.

I can understand that might make it easier but it's not really fair on the one-day people.

We really enjoyed the 3 days we attended, all the guests we met were so nice and very chatty, the guests who stand out for us as being the best of the best were the Shining Twins Lisa & Louise Burns they were so nice. One suggestion is maybe for 3day and gold pass attendees to have their own entrance instead of queueing up with day tickets (no offence) maybe have 2 queues, day tickets queues up one side of Door H and Gold/3days wristbands queues up the other side. And also it would be nice if you can ban autograph dealers from holding up queues getting several items signed in one go I saw this happening on a couple of occasions maybe with a limit on Items to be signed. Apart from that keep up the great work showmasters and please get more Stranger Things guests and Marvel Guests.

Why should 3 day people have a separate queue from 1 day people?

I have a clash Friday between Sophie Aldred and David Morrissey. Which one should I go first? After Sophie, I have a double photo shoot with her and Sylvester Mccoy. I thought it was better to go to Morrissey first and then her but not sure.

Since David finishes after Sophie I would do Sophie first, explain to the crew you've a clash so hopefully they'll rush you through, go to David and then back for the dual.

Now the dilemma. Below is disc 4 of the Dr Who 50th Anniversary collectors edition box set. Disc 1 is Matt Smith (signed), 2 is Tennant (signed) 3 is McGann (signed) and since I obviously can't get John Hurt I got Steven Moffat to sign his disc. It looks great one signature per disc so I can't decide whether to get Jenna Coleman to sign above Steven or get another series box signed altogether.

How about you get Jenna to sign the box that the discs come in?
