I only attended on Saturday and met some great guests. I met Freema Agyeman, Amanda Tapping, Paul Jerricho, Stephen Marcus, Andy Bradford. Trevor Cooper, Anneke Wills, Chris Barrie, Colin Baker, Shend, Kerry Ingram and Joe Calzaghe.
Freema was by far my favourite guest of the day...we had a good chat about the colour of my hair (its bright red!!) and visiting the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff. I had my second ever 'Fan-girl' moment (((blush))) and left with a fantastic memory
Amanda Tapping and Co were also all lovely...with a special mention to Colin who gave me a big squishy hug and Joe who seemed quite bemused when I asked him to hold on to my toy monkey
As a final footnote, I have to admit I attended with little expectations due to the slightly underwhelming guest list. I can honestly say it was one of THE most enjoyable shows I have attended to date.
It just goes to show that having a lot of big names in attendance does not necessarily make a good show experience.
It would be nice to hear who other people met and their experiences of the show
Met the exact same people as you and have very much the same experiences!! How weird

I had a great day out at Collectormania Milton Keynes yet again this weekend I have to admit that I was initially less than impressed with the line up and was in two minds whether to attend at all this time. Having said all that I am pleased to say that I DID attend AND had a really fantastic day It was a real refreshing change from many of the crazy-manic SM shows I have attended over the years and the few guests I did meet were all lovely. A special mention to the SM Crew who were all very helpful as always and I really enjoyed the gaming area which was a very welcome distraction while I waited for my fiancée's numerous photo shoots
I think the key word here is ORGANISATION and due to the modest attendance at this weekend's show was superb and a joy to attend. A shed-full of big guests at ONE big show does not always make for a great show experience which is what I got this weekend

Gutted is not the word May give this event a miss now

Great guest announcement Keep the boxers coming. Best sportsmen in the world
-
Have met Joe before and it was a personal ambition fulfilled Will be meeting him again as he is a real boxing legend and a proud Welshman to boot
-
Fantastic boxer and not a world champ for nothing Great performance to win the title and it will be a real privilege to meet him. Roll on ..........

Great stuff Very happy with this announcement. Looks like I will be adding to my Thrones poster after all Looking forward very much to meeting her.

Spoken to someone recently about Tom Baker but apparently he doesn't do cons outside of London now due to health
Colin is a fabulous guest announcement and is always a great addition to any show
That's a real shame Hope Tom is ok. I have met Tom on numerous occasions in the past and he is always a joy to speak to. My fiancee would dearly love to meet him so fingers crossed for an appearance from him soon

I'm going to Cardiff because of the excellent guests/
Never in a million years did I think that a show in Wales would outshine an MK event I am not complaining mind. Just a big turn of events considering it took a very long time to convince SM to come to Wales in the first place Well done guys

Well I must admit that I am slightly disappointed with the line up as it currently stands If it wasn't for the great boxers attending then I do not think I would bother going TBH I am extremely surprised that more quality guests have not been added to the show now that WLFCC is out of the way which leads me to think that SM have slightly overreached and dare I say overstretched their budget for this year?? SM rarely disappoint me BUT this Collectormania is pushing all the wrong buttons for me

Yes, Yes, I get it. The guest list isn't the best I have seen for a Collectormania show and I too would expect to see at least a few more 'BIG' name guests on the billing. That being said, Jason and the SM guys have only just completed a busy London show last weekend and am sure will be concentrating on this one in the coming weeks ( don't be forgetting about my local Cardiff show though!!).

Showmasters obviously have many more irons in the fire than back in the days of LFCC in July and Collectormania twice a year in the shopping center in Milton Keynes! Apart from Autographica in my opinion being very poor this year SM very rarely disappoint and usually put on a great show wherever they are I think you will start to see the names roll in in the next couple of weeks and we will all have a great guest lineup yet again for Collectormania MK
-
Yet another top quality guest for CFCC which is always welcome ALSO makes a very nice change to have a significant, 'rare' signer attending a show like this and not a London or Milton Keynes event. Let's face it, I personally think it is no longer a 'gamble' to bring some of the 'bigger' film and TV guest to the Cardiff event after the overwhelming successes of the previous shows

Looks like Paul will be signing a few Empire posters then, mine included Nice one SM

You're not even going to the show.Decided now not to meet her or have a photo.
Stop being such a miserable so-and-so Meeting Gary was the highlight of LFCC for me this year. The photoshoot was also tremendous value for money with BOTH Carrie AND her faithful hound. I think more guests should bring their pets to the shows
At the end of the day, I don't think having Gary in the photo made any sense so I won't be having another photo.
Not going to the show due to the lack of 'Guest Pets' on display Give me Ralph Macchio and his hamster OR Peter Purves with his faithful tortoise and I would be ALL over WLFCC like a rash
Ohhhhh. You obviously didn't pay all that money for her photoshoot then.
Don't do photoshoots but did get an autograph. Added bonus of meeting little Gary then Have met Carrie on numerous occasions in the past and she is always lovely. She was a hell of allot cheaper to get back then BUT you didn't get the added bonus of Gary Swings and roundabouts I suppose

So does anyone know if pics of her from Blade are available? I have looked on the net for screencaps and to no avail. Any i do find are from Blade 2 its as if the first film did not happen. I would love a clear pic of her from Blade but no doubt it will be a no no. I know you cant please everyone all the time but if a guest has a fairly long CV then lets have examples from most of their work not ten different shots from the one thing they are most remembered for...
WelI have managed to find multiple images of her from Blade. Spoiled for choice really! I am surprised you have struggled getting any

Top bloke I know of one very excited Girlie who will want her photo with him!!

I'm actually quite glad as I can only make it on Saturday and Sunday this time around.

Shame, Friday was always my favourite day.
I agree. Friday has always been my favourite day for attending Collectormania. It gives you the chance to meet some of the bigger guests in a more relaxed atmosphere which also sometimes gives you the opportunity for a little chat, photo etc The Saturdays always tend to be very hectic and the Sundays little better. It is a real shame that there will be no Friday this time

I have purchased an 'Avengers' White Cover Variant #1 comic for Stan to sign. Not sure what run it is from, but I thought it would look cool signed rather than a 10" x 8" photograph which is what I normally go for. I will also be taking my own Sharpies as I would like stan to sign it in red as it would compliment the red 'Avengers' logo wonderfully
I will already be taking 8 or 9 posters to the show to get signed by varius guests over the weekend so I will not be taking another for Stan to sign. This being the the other major reason for going for the comic idea

I had a photo on the Iron Throne last year but may do it again . Also had a TARDIS shot on my own, and one with Sylvester McCoy and Paul McGann...so that just leaves the Star Wars shot. Can't wait !!!
I have seen that picture of you 'on the throne' Very nice!!

I personally do not bother with pictures at shows as I am more of an autograph maniac and pour all of my time and efforts in collecting them at SM shows. My fiancée on the other hand loves having her photo taken with guests, cos-players and props and I must admit it really is good fun when you get into it
I had my photo taken with Bender of Futurama and at the main gates of Jurassic Park with a raptor I may add. I will attempt to post them on the forum but I do not fancy my chances due to techno-fear and a total lack of expertise in that department
