    Guest Cancellation - Gwynyth Walsh

    We are sorry to announce that Gwynyth Walsh will no longer be able to attend Collectormania. We wish her well and hope to see her again in the near future.

     

    All photoshoots with Gwynyth will be automatically refunded to you on the card they were purchased on.

     

     

    Thanks for informing us. Will Barbara's be refunded at the same time since it is for the same photoshoot?

     

    Just so I know, when should I see the refund on my statement? Thanks.

    I hope she gets well soon.

     

    As for the photoshoot, unless it is both of them together, I am not interested in having one, so I would be looking for a full refund. Will refunds be made automatically, or would I have to contact someone?

     

     

    just an idea for you instead of refunding everyone their money couldnt the people who have the prebooked photoshoot ticket come to the organisers booth at CM and transfer it like a voucher for a autograph ticket or an alternative photoshoot?

     

    Ps photoshoot tickets - will they still be available on the day to buy?

     

    That sounds sensible. We could take the ticket to the booth on the day and ask for a refund or to swap it for something of equal value.

     

    I think I would personally prefer the refund to my account though.

    No, you don't require a ticket for the auction, but everyone who goes to the talk is likely going to be at the auction, so you will probably be at the back or without a seat when you go.

    Arriving and photoshoot times

    Am I right in thinking that the time of the photoshoots is not revealed until you actually get to the event?

     

    I have photoshoot tickets for Nichelle Nichols and the Lursa/Betor make-up shoot, and I was planning on getting to the event for 10am. I don't, however want to get there and then find out that the photoshoots took place at 9 or something.

     

    Does anyone know what time the photoshoots start, or more specifically, if these two photoshoots will take place after 10.

     

    I don't expect the times to be put up now, but is it possible for them to be posted nearer the time rather than only find out when we get there?

    To be honest, I'd rather pay £45 for her and skip two/three other guests that have lesser parts or that are likely to appear again down the road.

     

    To be able to get an X-Files photo signed from the leading lady herself is something that you can't put a price on .. well ok, £45 but you know what I mean ..

     

    Sometimes you just have to take these opportunities when they arise because they may never come around again.

     

    I agree with you on this. I was expecting her auto to be £35, so while it is more expensive than I expected, it has not put me off getting her autograph. I had hoped to get 3 autos from her, but it simply means that I might have to budget to one or two.

     

    There also a number of guests that I already have autos of from previous years, and although another would be nice, I would be willing to pass them over so that I can get Gillian's - especially since the other guests seem to make regular appearances and it unlikely I'll get the opportunity to meet Gillian again.

     

     

    This topic isn't really the place for debating a price to be honest, so it will probably be cleaned up shortly.

     

    However - Showmasters have tried to keep prices across the board down where possible, and I think that they've done a good job with that. They've also asked whether we would want rarer/bigger guests that WILL cost more. They have explicitly stated that they have considered getting these guests but the finances dictate having to charge more. There has been complete clarity there, and this is one of those guests.

     

    As for personalisation - bigger guests are being better managed where possible, and I think you'll find attendees getting a better experience over the past year with the big guests compared to at previous events. I certainly wouldn't like to see a GUARANTEE on personalisation though as it will have a knock-on effect and others will miss out. In the end, it's done where possible, and that's all we can ask for.

     

    I think Showmasters have made the right decision. Last yeah they did ask us what we would be willing to pay for big guests. Were we willing to pay a higher amount, or would we rather not have the guest at all. Personally, I'd rather have the guest, and have the choice of whether I buy a auto or not when the time comes.

     

    I think some people are just too critical of Showmasters and be more appreciative of the hard work they do to get these guests booked.

    All arrived toady - very pleased :D

     

    I know you can order individual Klingon shoots as well so I am hoping I have the correct ticket for both Duras sisters.

    I'm glad they have arrived safely.

     

    I am guessing here but I suspect that the individual shoots will have their names on the tickets. No doubt others who have ordered the individuals can/will confirm that.

     

    I also ordered a ticket for a photoshoot with both of them. It arrived yesterday and the ticket said 'Klingon' not 'Klingons' too, so I assume that it is correct and for both of them.
