    I think one option is more than enough.

    You honestly think that a photo shoot with all the regular cast members wouldn't please everyone?

     

    I'd like to see two photo opportunities...one with just main/regular cast and another with all DS9 guests at the show. Split would be fairly easy to organise photoshoot wise and people will have more of a choice of who they actually want in the shoot. Simples!

     

    I suspect these things look very easy to organise unless you are the one actually doing it!

  3. We are in talks with everyone to see what they will need to take part in this shoot ? It will be an expensive shoot as each person needs to get paid for taking part ok?

     

    Also as every transaction costs us money to process we are going to charge a fee for the shoot and if a guest drops out then its going to be the same price, we will make it a little cheaper than getting all the guests separately so if one does drop out it will not be noticed in the price but we will not be reducing it or refunding it , it will happen with all the cast we have at the event and we will only ever refund it if Avery Brooks drops out.

     

    It will be a cast of DS9 photo op and will include the cast of DS9 and if anyone drops out it will still happen and at the price sold unless Avery drops out ok.

     

    We want to run these photo ops but they are so hard to pull off and they create so much work for us at a time when we are so very busy so these will be the rules and those of you that want it can buy it .

     

    Price to come after we have talked to everyone involved.

    Now this is very very exciting stuff even though I'm not a DS9 fan (Voyager all the way!)

    Would be an organisational headache but would be amazing for fans to have this opportunity.

  5. Not a huge surprise on this one, A major frak up by some people, but it's happened before and I'm sure it'll happen again. We all make mistakes, but it is without doubt the fastest cancellation that I can remember in all my time at con's. :P He was the one guest I'd not met before so I guess I'll have to wait a little bit longer now! I'm sure there'll be more cancellations before the start of the con!

     

    Way to stay positive Wabit LOL! Though it is the way of con life!

    Should there be a problem and you aren't able to attend on the Saturday due to timing issues then please go to the org booth and they'll be able to help you. There shouldn't be an issue with you attending on the Sunday :)

     

    Or alternatively if you can make it to the start of the shoot just tell a crew member and they will be able to see about getting you through the queue quickly.

     

    For people with genuine issues such as yourself the crew will always make every effort to try and be accommodating.

  7. Best way to increase in the Chevron events is to bring new or rarer guests to the shows. I love the Chevron events and have attending every single one of them as a Gold Pass Holder but I have met all the guests before...several times over. I am sure this is a case for many of the long time attendees.

    Not much consolation I know.

     

    Would you like to give up your room at the Park Inn and stay at the Ibis then since it is just across the road? Lol One of the poor unfortunate souls who have been shoved there I am sure would appreciate the room!

  9. To all of you who have been moved to the Ibis, sorry to hear that.

     

    The Ibis is basic, but it's clean and only five minutes from the Park Inn.

     

    (Actually did the round trip last year in six minutes when they said that tickets for 7.6 would be going on sale at the end of the auction as I'd left the slip in my room)

     

    One thing, please could you keep the noise down when you come in from the parties.

     

    Some of us need our beauty sleep.

     

    But if people wanted to stay at a "basic" hotel a "five/six" minute walk away they would have booked it. The Isis in no way compares to the Park Inn - it is a cheaper hotel yet people will be paying the Park Inn Price - not acceptable in any way shape or form!

  10. they called me with info that they rebooked, so ibis don't know anything about it???

     

    i was just told that they still waiting for confirmations so i will ring later on to check that it is ok

     

    Myself and friends have been moved to the IBIS - so that is another 3 rooms booked in May that have been transferred - those who booked first have been penalised.

     

    I double checked my booking a few weeks ago and there were no issues!

     

    Make sure they fully compensate you as the IBIS is not in the same league has the Park Inn!

  11. It seems that the earlier you booked the room the more likely you were to get bumped - this is something that I think TPTB need to look at and take up with the Park Inn on our behalf. It is really not acceptable less than 24 hours before the event!

     

    The people who booked earliest appear to have been penalised by the hotel!

  12. I had a missed call on my phone - no message left and after reading this thought I better check - you sure enough telling me that they were transferring my TWO rooms there. Much arguing later - managed to get three people into one room!

     

    Not acceptable Park Inn...not acceptable at all - booked my room straight away and double checked the booking a few weeks ago.

  13. if the tickets are going on sale for the mass market on 12th does anyone know how long after the hotel discount booking code will be given out? will we have to book early or after chevron 7.7 has happened?
