Excellent
Loved her in Titanic and the episode of Who and I've been thinking recently it'd be great to have her at a con soon
And I guessed the big announcement would be her too
-
Birmingham would be good, it's local to me and surely pretty easy to get to for most. Most of your cons are in the south so would be good to get a Midlands con.

As long as there's a ball pool there I don't care what the theme is
A ball pool would be great

Christoff you are an absolute legend!!! Just got my hands back on my pic. I really am lost for words and actually shaking with relief right now.
Happy to help and really glad you got it back It would've been a great shame to lose them.
*considers giving Christoff the member status 'absolute legend' as he sure deserves it*

Murph, is your name Robert? If so, I found it and handed it in to one of the organisers desks. It's the one opposite the entrance to the hall, not the one on the same side.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I need one of my autographs signed in blue and since it's a rarer colour for guests to have, I was thinking about buying my own blue sharpie.
As there are several different types of sharpies, does anyone know exactly what the ones used at these events are? Are they fine tip, or medium or called something else? I don't want to get one too thin or thick.
And does anyone know where I'd be able to buy them? It's too late to buy online now so it'll have to be a high street shop. I have a WHSmith and a couple of stationery shops near me so I could check in there, but not sure which would be cheaper.

I recently bought a gold ticket and I'm planning on buying the Klingon and Cardassion make up photos, but I'm not sure what day to buy them for, the Saturday or the Sunday.
There are a number of things included in the gold ticket such as individual captains talks, the stunt show and bridge photo shoot, do we know yet which days these will be on?
If I know which day will be busier from the stuff included in the gold ticket, I'll have a better idea of what day to book these photo shoots for.

Are talks available to purchase yet? Specifically the captains talk/opening ceremony?
Are the bridge photo shoots available to purchase too? Will there just be one or are there multiple?
Any other tickets unavailable to buy yet?
I really want to get it all booked but without knowing how much everything I want costs, I don't know which ticket type to buy.

I got this one, it's in a facebook album and won't be public for too long though:

Did anyone get a photo of yours truly [strand Magazine style Sherlock Holmes]? I was too busy handing out flyers for a good cause to have any taken!
Hopefully this image works, it's from my facebook album.
Is this you?
I have a few more that I've not uploaded if you want me to email them to you or something.

I gave my Adam Baldwin virtual queuing ticket to a birthday girl and her friend on Sunday afternoon, at around 3pm. If you're on the forums, hello Glad I was able to help and that you got the chance to meet him. Was nice meeting you both

I used these for a few years without problems but just a month or so ago after another event, a couple of my autos peeled off in places after getting stuck to these wallets. They had dried before I put them in there too. I've now decided it's not worth storing autos in these at all, not even short term (the ones from that event were only in there for a few hours).
If you look out for the dealer Franks Autographs, they provide archive polyester pockets which are meant to be a lot kinder to whatever you put in there. They also offer storage boxes and carry cases too.
It's worth having a chat with them but there's some info on their website about their products, and the dangers of the wallets you're using.

Great idea, he was definitely one of the greats, as his father was.

My skant uniform dress will only look right on the TOS bridge!
You could have travelled to the future...

I've bought it from Amazon, only £6.17
I just hope it lives up to my expectations, don't want it to ruin my childhood memories of the show

That's the one
Chloe Annett and Michael French
And Chloe Annett was in it too! I need to watch to this again *heads off to Amazon*.

Captain America, and I've got Thor to watch next before I see The Avengers.

I love Karen as Amy and would rather she didn't leave But she is so I'll have to deal with it lol.
I've only seen her in Titanic and I liked her character in that. Though I didn't realise it was her until I saw her name in the credits of the 3rd episode. After realising it was her, it actually got me more excited and interested in her joining Doctor Who, so I'm quite looking forward to seeing how she fits in and plays the character.

There is no difference. None. There is a saying about this silly debate:
"The only difference between a Trekker and a Trekkie is that a Trekker thinks there is a difference between the two words."
Trekkie is a real word, Trekker started to surface when scared Star Trek fans thought that the world viewed all Trekkies as someone who had no life and lived in their parents basement.
Call yourself Trekkie, call yourself Trekker. There is no difference. If someone wonders how devoted you are, just tell them how much of a fan you are in your own words.
^This. I'm a Trekkie. I don't dress up in a Starfleet uniform in my spare time. I don't speak Klingon. And I like a lot of other things besides Star Trek and sci-fi. I don't buy into the notion that you need to call yourself a Trekker to somehow distance yourself from "those other super-obsessive, sad fans over there" (whoever they might be). Trekkie is a great and perfectly serviceable word. Why not reclaim it? As you say, everyone has their own level of 'devotion' to the wonderful creation that is Star Trek and silly distinctions like this are besides the point.
Anyway, I'm a Niner too!
Definitely agree with both of you.
I'm a Trekkie, it's the recognised term for Star Trek fans. Trekker doesn't sound right to me.
I've always thought that a Trekker was someone who didn't really want to be identified as a hardcore Star Trek fan (or geek). Outside of Trek and sci-fi fandom, nobody even knows the term Trekker.
There are so many different definitions of both Trekkie and Trekker though. Some people say a Trekkie dresses up and learns Klingon while Trekkers aren't that religious about it, others think the complete opposite. The fact is they're the same thing, people just choose which they think they are.
I really don't get the point in calling yourself a Trekker though, and people who think the term Trekkie is offensive must be a bit crazy

One that nobody has mentioned that I loved was Invasion. It was cancelled after only one season
Another one nobody has mentioned is Jake 2.0, used to enjoy watching that too.
Others that I can think of (mostly recent), others have already mentioned:
Stargate Universe
Firefly
Dollhouse
Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles
V
No Ordinary Family
Terra Nova
Tru Calling
The most recent big loss is probably The Fades.I had no idea that had been cancelled
I am suprisded that no one has mentioned Randall and Hopkirk with vic and bob that was an excellant series it only got 2 seasons really disapointed that it got cancelledI really liked that when I was younger and have thought about it quite often recently. I hadn't realised that it only had 13 episodes.
Crime traveller (yes! lol)Oh my god!
I think you've just solved the mystery of a TV series I used to watch and could never remember the name of.
Is this the one with two detectives, a man and woman, and one of them had a time machine in their house or flat? They'd go back in time, and I remember they sometimes saw themselves but weren't allowed to meet themselves or something bad would happen.
One scene I remember was them on a roof or wall, looking down on themselves, and them in a room with the time machine. That's pretty much all I remember but it's something I've missed for years. I just googled and if it is this (which it seems to be), I was only 9 when this aired, but I loved it lol.

Must admit that's how I read it - that you'd get vouchers you can use how you like. Having already met many of the various Trek cast members, and 3 of the Captains, I'm trying to decide what would be best for me. Being able to choose what to use these vouchers for would have been good. Not so good if it's chosen for you and it's for people you don't necessarily want to meet or already have met.
Exactly, it'd also help us choose the right tickets if we knew the prices of talks, photos and anything else included in the various ticket types. I actually wanted to buy tonight but I'm glad I didn't rush into it now that I've seen that the included autos are chosen for us.
