My experience was quite good.
Got to MK very early, one of the first and had early ticket number.
When Mr Shatner arrived there was some confusion as whether or not photos could be taken, so I didn't take any.
My fiancee thanked Mr Shatner for taking the time to come and see us and he looked up at us smiled and said 'Thank you for coming'.
The whole experience was pretty much as expected, there have been 'no photo/video' guests in the past and there will be in the future.
This is only my opinion but I think it was quite well organised and it would seem a lot of the complaints were coming from traders.
Although I would have liked a photo or personalised auto the memory of the experience is one we won't forget.

I am coming to meet Buzz Aldrin, Alan Bean, Charlie Duke and Jack Lousma
-
I went on Sunday and found Kate to be one of the most pleasent guests I have met, we chatted for quite a while and she even insisted I have a posed photo with her.
-
Best guest = Kate Mulgrew
Worst = None

Kate Mulgrew definetly!

I can't wait to meet Al Bean, great stuff Autographica!

Thanks for the info Golden Green. That has made things a lot clearer.

Yes this is my situation as well. I ordered two gold pass tickets over the phone and my credit card details were taken but I have heard nothing this. I was told that tickets would not be sent out but that they would be given out on the door. I asked for a receipt and was told to send a stamped addressed envelope but have not received one yet.
-
I do hope I hear soon as I would like to know how much my credit card bill will be soon rather than closer to the event.

Hi, on the subject of tickets I ordered 2 gold pass tickets over the phone about 4 weeks ago but my credit card hasn't been billed yet.
Just wanted to know if transaction was ok and that we are booked for sure.
Many Thanks.

A little constructive critisism never did anyone any harm.

I vote other for a couple of his early comedy films 'TOP SECRET' and 'REAL GENIUS'

Perhaps it might be a good idea if SM could make a permanent lost and found thread?

He was really funny in Galaxy Quest especially the line :
"You broke the ship, you broke the bloody ship!"

He would obviously be the ultimate guest. But he charges around $200 for an autograph, so sadly might be prohoibative to him doing an event here.
I think Neil Armstrong or Yuri Gagarin would probably be the ultimate space guests, but out of the realistic ones, then Aldrin would definetly be number one.
I would pay $200 for his signature if they could get him to attend.
I think Yuri Gagarin may be a little difficult to get as he passed away some time ago now (in the late 60's I think) I'm sorry to say.

I know it might sound a lot of money but I'd pay to see any astronaut / cosmonaut. These people are heroes who have risked their lives for the conquest of space. They are living legends.

With the exciting recent announcements of Buzz Aldrin and Charlie Duke for this years Autographica, I thought you guys might be interested in seeing the full list of the moon walkers from the Apollo missions, some of which have appeared at previous autographica shows :
As of 2005, only the following twelve people have walked on the Moon, each on one mission only. Nobody has walked on the Moon since 1972.
1. Neil Armstrong - Apollo 11 - July, 1969
2. Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin - Apollo 11 - July, 1969
3. Charles "Pete" Conrad - Apollo 12 - November, 1969
4. Alan Bean - Apollo 12 - November, 1969
5. Alan Shepard - Apollo 14 - February, 1971
6. Edgar Mitchell - Apollo 14 - February, 1971
7. David Scott - Apollo 15 - July, 1971
8. James Irwin - Apollo 15 - July, 1971
9. John Young - Apollo 16 - April, 1972 (also on Apollo 10, without landing)
10. Charles Duke - Apollo 16 - April, 1972
11. Eugene Cernan - Apollo 17 - December, 1972 (also on Apollo 10, without landing)
12. Harrison Schmitt - Apollo 17 - December, 1972
Thanks for the list.
Anyone who would like the biographies form nasa can get them from their webiste www.spaceflight.nasa.gov and select history then the appropriate section (Mercury/Gemini/Apollo etc..)
or try google and type in bio <surname> nasa replacing <surname> with for example ALDRIN.
I too am looking forward to meeting both Buzz Aldrin and Charlie Duke and I also heard at C7 there may be another moonwalker and some cosmonauts.
I have had the honour of meeting John McBride and Jon Fabian at KSC Florida last year so I am really looking forward to Autographica especially as this is my first time.

I myself did not have any problems but I think that the reason some tempers on all sides may have been frayed was due to the humidity and the heat in the mk centre. I think someone should have opened a few doors!

Also the annoying traders in the queues with loads of bulky items to be signed!!!
Ahhh. Glad I got that out of my system!!!!!!!!!!
-
I think he may have been tired.
He seemed OK too me if little quiet but then again I don't say much either!
-
I think meeting john rhys-davies because he was just so friendly.
He signed a photo of himself from 'Sliders'. Personalised it and wrote his character's name (Max Arturo) as well as his own . GREAT!!!!!!

Never been before but going this time for Buzz Aldrin and Charlie Duke.

Park in a colour coded parking bay .. the prettier the colour the more you pay
Wheeeeeee....... I actually found the free parking bays!!!! Saved myself a fortune this time!
Me too!!!
Couldn't use the Park and Ride as it didn't run till 1045. What a naff service, they'll never get anyone using public transport with service like that.
I'll be driving all the way into MK next time as well and not using the P&R!!
Guest Suggestions!
