Hi everyone,
I am bringing Brent Spiner and Michael Dorn to C6. I spoke with the both of them the other day and they will be there at C6 in October.
Bob Catalano
Hey Bob, good to hear from you. I met you at the Creation Vegas con a couple of weeks ago - Ian, from Ireland. Glad all is still go for C6, hope to see you there

I just gotta say that I met Sam Jones recently at the Vegas Trek Con and he is the nicest guy. Really chatty and friendly. If you get the chance see him, you won't regret it.

Many thanks everyone! See you there!

I hope to travel in from Ireland for Collectormania 6 and was wondering how easy it is to get from Luton Airport to Milton Keynes. The link for the train on the web site wasn't able to give me any info - maybe it's too early. Does anyone know? How long will it take? Any info would be appreciated.

Zebredy,
I gotta stand up for Brent Spiner. I'm sorry if you met him at a bad point in the day but he was so nice and welcoming both times I saw him, he chatted with the fans, had a joke with them. It's true that they can't be in the best of moods all the time. I hope you get to meet Brent again and see what a nice guy he really is.

Top 5 Films
1. Singin' in the Rain
2. Duck Soup
3. The Bishop's Wife
4. Field of Dreams
5. High Fidelity
SW:ANH might make it into the top ten in a pinch.

Which hotel is the nearest to the venue? I've never been to Milton Keynes before.

That's the one - great!. Many thanks.

Remember - growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.

I'm trying to find the name of a dealer at the con. They had photo collages of LOTR, Trek, Buffy, Smallville and others. The were all rectangular "letterbox" style pieces and were really well done. I bought a lovely one of the Fellowship, made up of black and white portrait shots of the actors in character. Does anyone know who this dealer was?

I flew back home last night and justed wanted to say a big thank you for a great day. Brent and LeVar (my main reasons for being there) were great, so friendly. So were Billy, Andy and John from LOTR. The venue was great, with one problem, no cash machines - not your fault I know but handy to have nonetheless.
All in all, well worth the trip and I look forward to the next one - any chance of Dom Monaghan to go along with my Billy auto?

OH MY GOD!!!
And I thought 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' was bad.

With all this talk of surprise guests who may come (although I'm quite happy with the line-up we have - finally getting to meet Brent Spiner!! YES!!) I was wondering if there have ever been surprise guests at previous SM events like Collectormainia?

i thought He and JRD are close buds!
Are you sure you're not thinking of Brian Blessed? BB and PS went to Drama School together and have been close friends ever since.

However, since Stewart hates fans and conventions, I very much doubt that there's anything to it. . .Shame really.
Where did you get that from? I've meet him twice and both times he was polite, friendly and took time to sign for everyone there (stage doors). Also last summer he held a meeting for members of his fan club. We met with him for over a hour in London. He sat with us and chatted about the play he was doing (The Masterbuilder) but also about Trek, X-Men and any other topic that came up. Meeting him has been one of the highlights of my years as a movie/sci-fi/comic fan. A real gentleman.

Will it be a case of head for the autograph line of your favourite as soon as you get into the hall, then to the next, etc., etc. and then head for the dealers tables until your number is called?
-
Thanks for that ,subject_117.

I've got the 'black civvies' Voyager one as well signed by the full cast as well as 60+ other Trek autographs. Getting Patrick Stewart to sign Trrek stuff these days is hard. If you meet him after a stage show he'll only sign stuff to do with the show so here's hoping if Creation get him to London, he'll be signing. I managed to get him to sign a Picard 8 x 10 way back in 1994. He slightly smudged the 'P' of Patrick while signing. Kate Mulgrew slightly smudged her sig while signing the 'Civvies' shot - what is it with these Captains?

Sorry, I missed Watchdog. What con was this? Who were they speaking to on the show?
-
Did she sign autographs for everyone waiting? What sort of time was this? 10pm -10.30pm?

My friend and I will be coming over the Irish Sea from Northern Ireland - the last time I was in Wembley was around the 1975. We went to see Evil Kenevil in the Stadium, still a vivid memory!
-
Thanks folks. That's great.

I met him (Robbie McNeill) a couple of years back. Nice guy.
He (Robbie) is always chewing gum! On the set, he would be chewing right up till they called action ,then he would stick the gum under his console on the bridge. There was quite a collection there after 7 years. You're right though, he's a hell of a nice guy.

I was just wondering if there is a limit on the amount of autographs we can get from one guest. Obviously we don't want people standing there with 20 items but can you get more than one - say you want one for you and one for a friend who couldn't make it?
Another chance to boast?

4 main items for me - a photo I had taken with Patrick Stewart and one I had with William Shatner but especially my vistors pass into Paramount Studios the day I visited the sets of 'Enterprise' and a photo of me sitting in the Captain's chair on the bridge of 'Voyager' with Bob Picardo beside me from the day I visited those sets back just before the show finished. You can't buy memories like that!!
