  1. I never tire of watching QI - would love to have Steven Fry as a dinner guest. Clarkson's annoying as usual.
  2. OK, I'm heading out now and won't be back till after the announcement so it's time for a final guess - I'm gonna go back to an earlier guess - Timothy Dalton. Hard to beat a Bond, especially a rare one.
  3. Since SM have been trying to get them for some time, I doubt it.
  4. Yes, he did Comicon a couple of years ago, along with Hayden and Adrian Pasdar. Oh, now you're talking. I'd love it to be Martin Sheen I started a Martin Sheen topic over at Guest Suggestions. I would LOVE to meet him.
  5. OMFG I WOULD DIE IF IT WAS HIM But then you wouldn't be around in November!! Don't die!!!!
  6. She is, or at least is preparing to, film a movie in Belfast so she may be in the UK come November.
  7. I think it's cos all the other ST cast have done them so maybe he feels under pressure - he doesnt wanna be the party pooper and the only one who doesn't do one. The other cast who have done one probably told him their good experiences and that the fans always asked when is he doing one. When you're in ST, it's almost expected of you to do cons cos "Star Trek conventions" are a sterotyped phenonema. My guess is he doesnt really enjoy signing but does enjoy the talks. I was chatting to Patrick's agent after his LFCC signing and he said Patrick really enjoyed it and wanted to do more, which was good to hear but you're right; word of mouth is important in all of this, among the guests as much as among the public. Zachary Quinto will hopefully speak positively about his signing experiences and convince Chris Pine and the rest of the new cast to do the same. Here's hoping
  8. Nicky, your post has made me wonder about the type of guests we've got in the past. Some of the guests, most of them perhaps do the con circuit because they're not that busy or retired and signing a few hundred autographs is bound to be a nice earner for them. I can understand that. Then we get some stars who are obviously promoting their show/movie; the year we had the Heroes stars at LFCC, they were taking part in a world wide promotion for the show at the time so I can understand their appearance. But then you get the likes of Patrick Stewart. First off, he doesn't need the money. Secondly, it's not a con as such so he's not giving a talk or doing a Q&A as he would at a Star Trek con. He's just signing autographs. I wonder what attracts him to this type of show. Don't get me wrong; I was delighted to see him and would love to see him again (photo op please!!) but what does he get out of it. And if it's just the fun of meeting fans, then great!! Perhaps some other big names would take a leaf out of his book and come along just for the fun of it. I mean, you never know. I can dream!!
  9. After the lacklustre reaction to the teaser, I think they'll be pushing it all the way. Avatar is going to rape our eyeballs. So far, my eyeballs haven't even been gently fondled. But they're still hopeful of a good ravishing come December.
  10. Oh my God!! I would kiss Jason if it was. (cue one cancelled composer!!)
  11. JJ Abrams Met him already but would love to meet him again. Top bloke!!
  12. Why does it have to be an actor? Since we've already got Irvin Kershner, why not another director?
  13. I've a pretty good feeling that you won't be jealous.
  14. She was announced for an event before, but had to cancel. So I don't think she'd be announced in this way And she has done a con in the UK before so that's, sadly, a no-go.
  15. After the lacklustre reaction to the teaser, I think they'll be pushing it all the way.
  16. Now that would be sweet - it'd give a push for Avatar as well.
  17. Sounds like a Press Conference. These aren't open to the public so, no, they don't count.
  18. Will anyone laugh at me if I say I don't know who he is?? ^^" Sorry Don't worry. I've just googled his name as well. Not a good sign for an expected "Big Star Guest".
  19. Oh yeah, I know they do signings but they're there mostly at the behest of their studios to push their new whatever. Does that count as a proper con/signing show? Maybe it does, I'm just asking
  20. Does San Diego Comic Con count since it's really become a studio led event with guests appearing to simply push their new movie or show? It's like a press junket that they let the public into.
