I think it does, my friend is a qualified PC technician and he said it is virtually impossible to completely remove IE from Windows without fecking it up. You gotta be well clued up to do it and it really ent worth the hassle!

You can't remove IE as far as I am aware, all you have to do is download a different browser and set it to your default, that then stops things opening in IE. works for me anyway!

It could be some people have still got the virus, or worse, and im not sure how it works, but you the virus could have split in 2 when it got in your computer, so that you do a virus check, and it wont register, however then you go back onto the origonating site and it finds the other half and messes you up..

seriously? s***! whatever I had on my pc is in the virus vault now and so far I haven't had any probs *touches wood*
I'm mainly worried about picking it back up again or if they planted something else here like some other peeps think they could have. as far as Invision scanning it before they hand it back goes, I don't know how much I trust them! they aren't exactly reliable. I feel torn cuz I wanna stay here to chat to my friends but if this is gonna be more unreliable than before I don't wanna stick around to get things! or maybe I'm just being overly dramatic... lol

I find yelling at your computer when it misbehaves to be a most productive reaction. It does absoluely nothing practical, but always makes me feel better!!

I was able to stop the file download through Firefox but something still got through and tbh AVG didn't have time to pop anything up cuz I set it to scan that quickly lol

Well SM have got the latest security upgrades for the forum, and invision will have scanned the forum before handing it back, so it should be safe.
