  1. Hi all,

This year I decided to get my tickets sent to the EventBrite app rather than printing them off (I have a paranoid fear that my phone will die on me mid con taking my tickets with it).

My query is that I can't see anywhere on the e-tickets that tells me which batch I'm in for each guest. Can someone point me in the (probably painfully obvious) direction or let me know if they don't actually show batch numbers on e-tickets?

    Many thanks

  2. Hi all,

I've seen posts saying that people think tickets for photoshoots and autographs are still valid/transferable from last year's cancelled Comic Con to this year's one, but can someone confirm if tickets for doors/entry are still valid as well please?

    Kind regards

So it seems like this event has bitten the dust now?

No shows in 2020 and no dates listed for 2021

It might be that there are now other events in Wales. So I'm not sure if that has made Cardiff an unviable proposition.

  4. Hi there,

I'm after a bit of help and advice, I've never been down to the Westpoint before and I was wondering if anyone more knowledgeable could advise me on whether it would be better to take the train down and then catch a taxi from the station to the venue, or if driving was the better option. Both are about 2 hours.

I have had a look on Google maps and it wasn't very clear whether there were any car parks near Westpoint, and I've seen there is a bus service to/from the train but that seems to take the better part of an hour, hence why I was looking to take a taxi.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

  5. Harold Perrineau was my best comic con guest. I was cosplaying as Constantine that year and he saw me in the queue for the photoshoot, and grinned. Then as I walked forward for the shoot he looked me up and down and in Manny's voice said "It's been a long time, John!" I was soooo happy :D

Lalla Ward and Sarah Douglas were both great guests as well, and neither of them had much of a queue when I saw them so I was able to have a nice long chat with both of them while they were signing.

Those were the ones that really stuck out in my mind, but I have to say that all of the guests I've seen at various comic con's have been wonderful people.

  6. Hi all,

I know it's a bit early to know for sure, but does anyone have any idea if the Robert Englund photo shoots are likely to be earlier than the standard doors open at 11 am Sat / 10 am Sun, or if there are likely to be multiple photo shoots through the day?

I don't really want to snag an early ticket and get an ungodly-o-clock train if the photo shoots aren't going to be until around lunchtime for example :D

    Thanks in advance

Maybe I’m remembering wrongly. Or maybe it was Famke Jansen. There was an infamous photo session 2-3 years back, the regulars here  should recall who I mean...

Famke was very muted a couple of years back, didn't say anything, and wasn't very expressive.... but that was, I heard later, due to the fact she'd broken a rib or some such.
