I was soooooo relieved when she cancelled. She was really expensive and I had booked a photo solely based on her hotness. Then I remembered I don't find her in the slightest bit attractive and was delighted to get that money back.

I didn't have the money in 2018. I felt sorry for those who were excited to meet her. Then I vowed I would save the money, so I could meet her whenever she is rescheduled for.

  2. I like to have everything planned, so I will make sure I'm organised before I go. Photographs or autographs? It depends. There are things I have to consider before I make my decision. I'm shy, so I like photographs. Incredibly shy. That way, I don't get nervous when trying to start a conversation. I don't mind how long I get to spend with them (I'm just grateful to be there), so photographs work well for me. Whenever I look at my photograph with that celebrity, it always reminds me of that moment. I like autographs as well, though. It's nice to have a little conversation with them. If I know they will be popular, and getting their autograph might be difficult, I will have a photograph. I like to plan my photographs and make a table, and print it out. That way, I know where it's being held, and the time of them. I always plan what I'm going to say to a guest. It makes me a little less nervous. I don't usually say if I'm shy, or nervous. The guests have been able to sense that. They have been really understanding. Of course, like Raylenth said, if you need to, then do. Usually, I just go for the one day (Saturday or Sunday), so it's whatever works best for you. I would like to do Saturday and Sunday next year. Saturday was busy last year, and it does get hot, but it was so fun. It just depends who you want to meet, and whatever is best for you.

Chernobyl.  I finally managed to watch it and it's absolutely phenomenal.  It deserves every award it won and more.  The production values are superb especially the make up and physical effects and the attention to detail couldn't be better.

In many ways it's a horrible thing to watch given what it's about and that we are following it on the ground and seeing these characters die in front of us as it were, and seeing the brave people who went in to literal hell, many knowing it was to their deaths, others having been lied to and told they would be fine, because they knew they had no choice, that someone had to and the consequences for the whole world would be unimaginable if they didn't.  All against a backdrop of a governement who refused to admit there was an issue, preferring to preserve the lie and add to them all to be seen as superior (Gosh that sounds familiar for some reason, can't think why).

It's a tragic and heroic story and if you haven't seen it you should.  It's hard, there are some scenes that are really difficult to watch, especially the scenes in the hospitals, but it's a truly powerful story and I'd not be surprised if Chernobly isn't a contender for the best TV series ever lists.

    Chernobyl is incredible! It's definitely a must-see!

I've begun to- properly- watch The Tudors. I've seen it before when it was on back in the day, but never properly sat down and gave it a watch which I regret now because I'm hooked and I'm really cross knowing I could have loved this a decade ago.

Brilliant, isn't it? One of my favourite series!

    Last one: Sunday

First was Martin Sheen and oh my goodness I can only echo what others have said and that's he was so wonderful in engaging with everyone, asking for everybody's name and shaking their hand. I thanked him after our photo was taken and his response was "thank *you* Kim" which just to me showed that he was genuinely listening to what people were saying to him and taking it in, just, yeah, what an experience getting to meet such a legend who was kind and warm and seemed to enjoy meeting us all <3

Robert Patrick was just so at ease with meeting everyone, very friendly, he was recognising folks he'd met earlier in the weekend and just seemed to go the extra mile to make it a great experience for everyone :)

    IMG-20190728-WA0015.jpg

And last photo, Brendan Fraser  He was... The whole weekend he seemed repeatedly taken aback and tremendously touched that we were all wanting to meet him I honestly get very emotional thinking about his autos, talk, and photo ops because he truly is such a beautiful person inside and out. He shook my hand before the photo and I have a habit of calling men Sir so his response to my "hello sir" was a smile and "call me Brendan, please" :). When I thanked him after the pic he gave me another very touched smile and said You're Welcome with such warmth I genuinely left getting teary-eyed

All amazing experiences, thank you Showmasters I am forever grateful to you <3

They're lovely, Broo! Thank you for sharing!

Honestly, Brendan's reply to what you said, is so sweet! He is lovely! I attended his session in the afternoon, but if he attends again, I may just have to get a Diamond Pass!

One of my questions I asked he did not understand - I was very nervous which is why I probably swallowed 1 or 2 words, haha. However, no one said "ok, next" or whatever, no rush. And Hayden was like: "Can you please repeat your question?" He even stopped signing so that he could look at me while listening to what I was saying/asking. It happens very rarely that I loose my voice as I am used to meeting actors. But whenever something like this happens the celeb usually pretends to don't hear you - which makes it a weird situation. Hayden was so busy but it's fantastic how he was towards his fans. He really wanted to make sure that you do have your time with him and the chance to actually talk.

This is so lovely. Thank you for sharing this. I completely agree. Hayden really wanted to make sure all of his fans had a good time meeting him. When speaking; especially, to celebrities, because I'm so shy, I don't say anything too loudly. When I was mentioning Awake to Hayden, he heard what I was saying, and was really attentive. He was generally so appreciative that I enjoy the film. He listened to everything I said. I mean, I'm surprised he did hear me, to be honest, as I don't say anything loudly at all. I'm that quiet. Overall, it was such a special moment getting to meet Hayden.

  9. I show my mother and father, but they usually come to the convention with me. My mother definitely understands. I only show my other relatives and friends if they ask, but I usually get asked how much it all cost. My friends understand that I love conventions, and adore meeting celebrities, so they come with me sometimes. They enjoy meeting celebrities, too, so we all share a love for that. My family and friends do take an interest in who I meet, so they usually ask what they're like. Sometimes, they both wonder how I can spend so much, but they just accept it. I enjoy it, and after meeting them, I'm incredibly happy. They're just grateful to see me happy, and hearing about so many lovely celebrities.

I enjoyed meeting Hayden so much! He's so humble and kind and gives off such a sweet vibe you just wanna hug him all day =)). Super grateful he came to Europe. Hopefully next time I'll get an opportunity to talk to him more. Didn't really have the time to communicate during the 20 seconds of our photoshoot together haha! Hayden, we'd love to welcome you in Germany some day! :king:

This is lovely! Thank you for sharing! I completely agree. He really made you feel at ease. I thought Hayden's would go really fast, but it didn't go as fast as I thought it would. Hayden was really attentive towards me, and listened to everything I said. Made sure I was okay, and gave me a really tight hug, and made sure I was at ease. Polite, sweet and caring. Like you said, really grateful he came to Europe. I would love to see him back again.

That's so nice!! I LOVE reading all those positive comments about him. What a wonderful soul he has! Awake was such a cool movie and very twisted. Unfortunately, considering the worldwide box office only a few people saw it - which is a shame. Same counts for Life As A House. So glad you also liked Shattered Glass! His performance in that film is fantastic! Now I finally know someone who saw it as well. :D

Thank you! I love reading all of these, too, and reading how much everyone enjoyed meeting Hayden. It's a shame not too many saw Awake. It's really good. I agree. He was fantastic in Shattered Glass. I will have to buy it sometime. Life As A House is so good, and deserves to be seen by as many as possible! Have you seen Jumper?

When I saw the no personalisation sign I knew he must have been asked to speed up his signings. That's why I was worried he would rush. But when I saw how much time he took with his fans before me I calmed down again cause it was pretty clear that he don't wanted to rush. It felt like ordering something at Starbucks (in a very positive way off course). :D "Where would you like to get the signature?" "What colour do you prefer?" And before I could say the colour he was like: "What about here in black?"

Seriously, I am still so happy and think about the meetings every day. I've been disappointed by a lot of celebs in the past (Jake Gyllenhaal comes to mind). Hayden is my number one actor and seeing that he really enjoyed being around his fans and really taking care of everyone made me so happy. I know that he did only a few signings so far. But I feel like he might be in for this in the future as well - seeing how much he enjoyed the experience himself. So please showmasters, get him back again. :D

That's what my mother thought when she went to get his autograph. However, my mother didn't mind, and was just grateful she got to meet him. He did write Anakin Skywalker underneath his signature, so that was a bonus, she thought. It's been just over a week, and I still think about that moment, and how much I enjoyed myself. I hope Hayden will return, too. I will have to go for a Diamond Pass next time, if I can. Hayden looked like he was enjoying himself. One mentioned he was touched by all the love his fans were showing him, and he was very touched. Read this, and it nearly brought me to tears. This is so sweet. Hayden is so caring, and I instantly felt better, when Hayden was making sure I was okay. He was so sweet to everyone. Hayden makes me so happy, and it was an honour to meet him. Please get him back, Showmasters.
