  1. Any chance of a photo shoot in Boba Fett costume like at LFCC?
  2. Missed out on meeting Mr Englund at three cons by getting VQ tickets that he never reached (mostly because he is nice and spends time speaking to fans) but not this time, my friend! This venue is much quicker to get to than London or MK, I'll be there early, tickets in hand :-)
  3. Ask people to be a bit more considerate about their bloody rucksacks! You could have hidden a child in some of the oversized sacks gleefully swaying on the shoulders of several attendees that quite literally smacked every single person they walked past. As a veteran con-goer I realise people may bring many treasures to get signed (and probably are carrying several litres of water, camera, folder for photos/autos etc) but my 8 year old was clinging to me after repeatedly getting hit in the head by gigantic bags. In busy areas please take them off and hold them, wear them on your front, or, at least, on both shoulders to stop them swinging about! It's a simple courtesy that could make the busiest areas a bit more bearable.
  4. 1) Thankyou to the girl assisting Gary Kurtz on Sunday who let me sit my my pregnant ass down on a chair and offered me water as I wilted in the overcrowded first floor 2) Thankyou to the lovely lass who traded VQ tickets for JDF so I could get my daughter to her all time hero sooner (and get myself out of there before I collapsed). As proof karma exists, I later saw one of JDF's selfies of the event on f/b - the above mentioned lady was right near the front in the shot :-) Bless you both xx
  5. A rest area that does not require a Gold pass should be a must! I am pregnant and conditions on the first floor were overcoming many people, without carrying an extra load. Being misdirected to up/down staircases more than once did not help either. A big thankyou to the young lady assisting Gary Kurtz on Sunday who allowed me to sit on a chair and offered me water as she could clearly see I was feeling unwell. If only all event staff were so helpful! I have been coming to Showmasters events for years but never felt so uncomfortable as this weekend. There was a distinct undercurrent of stress all round. My gut feeling is don't go bigger next year, keep it the same size, iron out the kinks and just do it better.
