I'm still WOWed by the rudeness of Peter Mayhew....
Really?? This weekend was the first time I've met Peter Mayhew and I thought he was lovely! I had this baby Chewie artwork print by Salvador Ramírez Madriz that I had been holding onto for him to sign. He commented on the artwork and then told me all about a baby Chewie cartoon he'd seen. :)

Now I don't normally add my 2p into these threads but I have a minor gripe from yesterday afternoon.
I was stood in the Rutger Hauer autograph queue and had been like everyone else for over an hour when Rutger had to go for another break. This part, I have no issue with at all. He is a 72-year-old gentleman that needs these breaks.
I think most people understood this, except one vocal gentleman near the back of the capped off queue that decided to start complaining to every volunteer who would listen. A red shirt pit boss then was left dealing with him. He was getting red faced so the pit boss got on her phone to try and help him out. Next thing I knew; he was at the front of the queue getting let in.
Now the way I saw it all unfold, it looked like he complained a lot and got to jump the queue. I hope this was not the case as it sends a bad message to other attendees. As I said, I ended up being in the queue for an hour and a half and this really wound me up.
Sorry for the rant. I’ll go back into hiding now.
We were near the front of the queue when Rutger went for that break and I remember them slotting in people just in front of us and I did wonder why but at that point I was too tired and sore to pay much attention and I was just so happy they let us wait in the queue while he was on break, rather than telling us to come back later.

Most enjoyable, comfortable LFCC I've ever been to, if I'm honest.
Agree with everything the OP has said, especially regarding the new queuing system for entry into the event and general layout as a whole.
As I've already mentioned elsewhere, my only, very small, complaint was having two rows of guests facing each other, causing the two tail-ends of the queues to merge into each other, creating a fair bit of confusion and making it very difficult to get through those areas.
Overall, a very well-organised event, well done Showmasters!

Agreed, the new layout was fantastic! Especially the stalls area. You could actually GET to the stalls and there was plenty of room to walk without having to squeeze past people browsing the stalls.
My only (very minor) complaint was in the signing areas where you have two rows of guests facing each other. The backs of the queues then tend to meet in the middle, making getting through that area quite difficult at points.

Feet are killing me, legs ache like mad!
Brilliant weekend though and got to see everyone we wanted so well chuffed with that.

Loved Beauty and the Beast. It was for that and Hellboy that I wanted to meet Ron.
Those were my favourites too! More than a bit gutted that he had to cancel.

I honestly can't remember if I've posted in here yet but . . .
Outlander cast please!

I need to find a photo of him as "Vincent"!

Hi everyone, I thought I would put in a request to bring actor Keith Coogan over to the LFCC in July 2016. Keith does conventions over in the U.S. I tweeted him recently and got a reply back, saying that he would love to come over to London!! It would be great fun to meet him.
Just a few of the amazing movies Keith has done.
Yes please! Love him!

Some fantastic suggestions on here. Here's a couple that I'd really like:
Richard Dean Anderson (again please! I missed out on an autograph last year as he was so busy)
Outlander guests
Castle guests
Firefly & Con Man guests
Wrestling:
Shawn Michaels
Diesel/Kevin Nash
(I'd put Brett Hart on here but I know he's not well atm as he fights cancer )

I don't get it. Why have more then one autograph. For what reason?
I usually only get one auto BUT . . . on the rare occassion . . . I'll sometimes get a photo signed (because I frame those) and also a DVD special edition box set signed (because I collect those) for example.

Yes please!!

Some Sense 8 guests would be awesome too!

Hmm not sure why the links aren't working, will try to fix them.

Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion web series is called Con Man. It is set in a fiction world where Alan Tudyk is on the con circuit following the cancellation of a sci fi show called Spectrum. He is the pilot in the show, and Nathan Fillion was the Caption of the spaceship on the show. Nathan's character want on to become a A lister in Hollywood. You follow the up and downs of the con scene and they even set up there own conventions in the US for the filiming.
The web series is 12 episodes lasting about 10 minutes each one. It was funded through crowdfunding and they originally wanted to do 3 episodes but they got enough money. For the complete season 1, including the last 3 episodes included the Spectrum spaceship. A Con Man computer app game is being developed. So you run your own convention on your phone/tablet and see how successful it will be. They are doing a DVD of season 1 to name some of the things that is happening surrounding the web series.
Unfortunately only people who have donated money will get exclusive access to each episode before non funders does.
For latest information go to the official facebook/twitter account :
I've been following Com Man for months now. I'm crazy excited about it and proud to have helped fund it.
Here's the trailer for anyone who's interested (it's like a who's who of geek celebrity!):

And the teaser trailer is funny too:

That would be very awesome!
Completely random side note . . . I only found out a few weeks ago that Jennifer Grey is married to Clark Grey (Agent Coulson) . . . maybe she could drag her husband along too!

I'm curious. I've been going to Showmasters events for a good few years now, queuing early and hoping (and usually managing) to meet who I want to. LFCC this year was a completely different game. Failed to meet pretty much everyone I wanted to meet, despite arriving about two hours before opening time on Saturday. I know I made it hard on myself by only going on the Saturday this year but still.
I am now really considering that Gold Passes might be a good idea in the future and I'm curious to get some opinions from people who've had them either this weekend or in the past. :)

I'm getting in early with this request!
He was so crazy popular this weekend and I know loads of people missed out on autographs.
A genuinely lovely guy who, impressively, managed to stay happy and cheerful through all his photoshoots!

I was only there on the Saturday and sadly didn't get an autograph. I'm really disappointed as he was the main reason I was there. I would have loved an autograph but I did have a photoshoot so at least I got to meet him. Hopefully he'll come back to the UK now he knows how much we love him!
-
He just radiated happiness.
This! I missed out on an autograph, sadly, but I did get a photo with him and he was possibly the happiest, friendliest person I've ever met. It was an absolute dream come true.
I really really REALLY hope he comes back to the UK so I can get an autograph! :)

It did feel today that unless you had Gold or Diamond it was very difficult to meet some of those top level guests. Not the end of the world, but will need to remember it for next year.
Very much so. We were queuing outside by 7am on Saturday and we still didn't get autographs for Richard Dean Anderson (172 . . . and he was still at 1-150 when we left at 5:30), Robert Englund or Haley Atwell.

Stupid article! PLUS they didn't mention that Michael J. Fox would be raising a lot of money for his charity while here, actually, from what I've heard of him, I doubt he kept any of the money for himself.

Totally agree! We were in early, got completely lost/disorientated and spent so much time trying to figure out where we were in relation to the floor plans that our VT's ended up being a much higher number than we would have liked.

Definitely agree. Once again the cosplay was amazing. A lot of hard work and dedication was on display for sure.
Really hard to pick a favourite but I think I'll have to go with the retribution paladin in Judgement armour from WoW!
