the tardis cosplayer with K9 was 'jadelouised' on here. she commented on another thread about the photo i got of her :)

Haha so did i. I passed you lots of times without noticing until i looked back at the photos and videos. I was hoping i'd see you and give a wave or a smile. But i never noticed you at all, but looking back you where sitting next to my dad at the Who talk on the Sunday and you passed me at the begging of Saturday (I saw your head pass by)

Aaah i wondered if it was you at the Who talk. Haha. I was looking out for you too and thought you looked familiar but wasn't sure :P

  2. I personally thought that the event was fantastically run and I had a fab time on the day I went. If we're talking about Glasgow/London, from my experience what David B is saying is spot on, and that is no one's fault. Besides, at the smaller cons like Glasgow, you are able to have a proper conversation with the guests unlike London, where it's often a case of 'K,Thanks,Bye.'

agreed on the smaller scale. i didn't expect to get a chance to talk at all at autographs or photo ops and i had some really good conversations at autographs and quick conversations (more than just 'hi *snap* thank you' at least) during photo ops. i'd rather it was smaller and more personal in that way than bigger guests where they barely have chance to look at you while they sign something. :)

  3. Completely agree abotu the staff. Before attending I was a little worried about kind of being cattle-herded along but everyone was so nice!

At the autographs I went for the staff were lovely and took photos for me with the cast members I asked if I could have photos with. At the talks, the staff on the ticket desk and on the sides with microphones were all lovely (and the guy hosting the talks was awesome!). And the staff in the photo studio bit were brilliant. Checking you were happy with the photo, making sure you were in the right place, organising the bag table so it was easy to get your stuff again afterwards.

I was really impressed actually. Having been to other cons were you're shouted at for being slightly in the wrong place in a queue, and having read some of the reviews of LFCC i was a bit worried, but i had a fab time and the staff were great. They all seemed to know what they were doing as well and where everything was which was helpful as a newbie.

  4. um does anyone know why stv have advertised that collectormania as the last glasgow one? tell me it isnt so.

they tweeted the dates for next year, yesterday so i assume not :)

    22nd & 23rd august 2015

i assume that the article probably means the last time this year, as it mentions 'yesterday'.

  5. i have to admit, i'm not a bit trek fan (i've seen a few originals eps but that's it really) anyway, i ended up getting Armin's autograph for my dad after i sat in the talk (which i really enjoyed, despite not actually knowing who anyone was). i'd text him asking if he wanted either of Chase, Kitty or Armin's autos and he sent back "yes! the quark barman" so i went over to armin and said "ok so i'm after an autograph for my dad, he just said something about "Quark barman" so can you pick out a picture you think he might like.

Anyway, he picked one and said he picked it because he could tell it was a picture from in the bar and then did a nice little autograph for my dad. :) He was awesome, and i feel the need to start watching some Trek now.

ok, next question on my list. can you buy more copies of your photos after? even if it's like 3 month down the line or something, idk. basically i love my photo with finn but if i cut it it fits perfectly in a photo frame i have, however i kinda wanna keep the whole set as well in 10x8... so... yea. if i know i can get another print of it i'd be happy to cut it but if not i think i will leave it.

A digital copy will be uploaded in the future (possibly 3 weeks time, hopefully) on their archive website for you to repurchase, or you could scan it in if possible and print it off yourself again? You could go to boots and get it printed there if you wanted it near enough the same print quality as the original :)

Keep your eye out for the following link:-

You can obtain copies as they very cleverly keep a library of the photos.

ah okay. i wasn't sure if we were allowed to get them reprinted or not since the rights are to showmasters or the photographer. i have to wait until i get to my parents to get them scanned, but if i can get the jpeg and get them printed again then that should be fine.

thanks for the help, guys :)

  8. Hey, just wanted to say i had an absolutely fab time. Had no trouble getting all the autographs I wanted during early entry both days and even managed to grab Armin's a bit later on this afternoon for my Dad.

Photo ops were awesome and all my pictures are fab, i love them.

Spent an absolute fortune and probably won't be going to a certain con at the beginning of september now because i spent all my money for that this weekend, too. Haha.

Really enjoyed the talks as well. Sat in a few for folks I didn't really know as well as the ones i wanted to see and they were awesome. Even asked a couple of questions in the harry potter and game of thrones talks.

So yes, tl;dr i had a fab time and i love you show masters, thank you :)
(not as much as i love Rupert Young though, who is absolutely the most perfect thing about life)
