  1. I got "Ripley" on my signed picture. I think it all started as Carrie Henn was signing "Newt" on the Aliens stuff and she seemed to take a cue from that.

Sigourney was great though, I asked her how she was finding the con and she said she loved it and was surprised how many people were dressed up but thought it was great. If I had known about her Doc Martin cameo I would have asked how she liked Cornwall!

I saw her walking around on three different occasions, going to and from photoshoots and to the talk, but every time she was walking around head high, smiling at everyone. She just came across as a really nice person.

I'm so excited about Doc Martin!!! And I also wish the news about the cameo had surfaced earlier!

  2. Got in very late on sunday evening, really with the last 30 people or so in that line ( no diamond or golden pass) so there was not much left of aliens on the table to pick from ( wished i brought a cool pic from home but was not even expecting to get in that room to meet her )

    i got this one :

is it me or did she just signed her name on saturday and on sunday she stared adding Ripley to the sig ? or was that the whole weekend ?

I got "Linda" under her signature on Saturday (I had a Snow Cake poster) :D

  3. Can anyone help? I'm trying to upload some pics of my signed stuff, but it's not working. I've set up a photobucket account and uploaded the pics there first. I've clicked on the green image icon and pasted in the URL, but it's not working. Are there any other methods I could try? Thanks in advance.

Use the image code in photobucket (copy the image code) and paste it directly...you don't have to click any green image icons.

  4.

Dent_1, I was at the SW talk when you asked her about the film. I am pleased you did as it is my fave film of hers and was trying to ask a question myself but never got to. I spoke to her myself at the signing briefly about the film. So thank you for getting that question in. At the signing I wanted to get my main item signed which was my Bafta book of portraits and as I presented it to her she said oh a Tony book, then looked embarrassed at her mistake. A classy lady that had time for everyone and in my opinion the best guest I have met at the SM events.

Agree, good question. Was a bit "Aliens" heavy, could have covered a bit more ground. Would have been nice to have got her thoughts on doing voice work for example like in Wall-E and even in Paul she's mostly a voice. I was trying to ask about that but didn't get picked. Still great to listen to her talk though, over far too soon :)

And like others have said the autograph session felt so relaxed it was amazing. Still can't quite believe this all happened :D

For those who haven't seen the photo thread I think this is my favourite photo I took at her solo panel :)

    Ahhh...love this photo!

  5. My mom had VQ number 7 and still she was sent walking about 4 times! She lost half a day just trying to get anywhere near RDA. At about 5pm she finally was let through and I saw my chance and quickly joined. Then I noticed why things went so slow, RDA was super friendly and talkative so he really took his time with everybody. Still don't know why my mom had to wait that long with such a low VQ number though.

Just curious...did you and your mom sit next to me at the BTTF Talk? If so, did you manage to get that Christopher Lloyd autograph?

  6. Fantastic!

    Friday:

Richard Dean Anderson.....really chatty and funny. Love him to bits. I was there right in the beginning after his first photoshoot.

Christopher Lloyd...wonderful, very attentive. Very busy line when I went there so no much time.

    Saturday:

Michael Gambon...Wonderful, again I love him to bits. The line was busy so there wasn't time for chatting. But I think he was like I always imagined him to be. He signed my Harry Potter book. :D

Sigourney Weaver...oh gosh, I was totally starstruck. She signed my "Snow Cake" -poster (my favourite movie of all time which I told her) and she was glad that I have seen it because not a lot of people even know about it (which is a shame because Sigourney should have won all of the awards from that role!). Today I had the photoshoot with her and I took a couple of snow flakes with me...she gushed and said "I'm so glad you brought these!" (SQUEEEEE)

Bill Paxton...he was 30 minutes late...but I forgave him because he is precious. I was first in line (wooohoo), he cracked a couple of jokes while signing.

David Bradley...loooved him! I gave him a Filch-keyring that I had made and he was so taken by it...he said he would put it on his keys when he gets home...awwwww. He signed my Harry Potter book..and drew Mrs Norris there too :D

Carrie Henn...lovely person! She was funny...the assistant was a young girl and wasn't able to bunch a hole in the diamond pass...so Carrie took the "scissor"-thingies and voilá made the hole...as she did it she said:"I'm a teacher so I'm basically doing this all the time!" Haha.

    Sunday:

James Remar...wonderful! He took a photo with me after the signing :D

Iain Glen...he was really busy when I went to get his photo, but he was nice and very attentive.

  7. I had an amazing time too. And for me everything worked out nicely, I had a gold pass and diamond passes for Sigourney, Michael Gambon and Christopher Lloyd. I'm more into autographs than personal photoshoots so I didn't have any clashes with those...and the only photos I did were with the diamond pass guests I had + Richard Dean Anderson & Michael J. Fox DeLorean...so the queues for me went pretty smoothly.

Only time I had to really queue for an autograph (longer than 45 minutes) was for Sigourney Weaver and Bill Paxton (and for Bill it was only because he showed up 30 minutes late...but I forgave him because he's precious :D )

The staff&crew were nice and helpful...thank you so much for your patience!

The atmosphere was nice and I saw happy people around me. it's so nice to watch people come out from the photoshoots holding their photos with a huge grin on their faces :D

I still cannot believe I have met and talked with Sigourney Weaver. Gah.

All the guests I met were wonderful and I have so many great memories from this weekend.

    THANK YOU!!!
