Because that's when all the impressive sports stars leave so that we have the overall "weaker" list of TV and Film stars left and something has to keep us there all day.

I am with you on this one. Does seem like nothing is going our way media guests wise this year? It happens but it is hugely disappointing

Serious hit to what is already a fairly weak media line up. Another sports guest confirmed which is fair enough but where are all those media guests we so desperately need. Late additions are a must now!

The number of sports guests and media guests is about the same. There is just usually more media guests but there is still a lot on offer. Just less than there has been in the past few years. But as the event is so close the chance of more guests is falling. I still have people to meet on both Saturday and Sunday so I'm happy.

I contacted them yesterday and they confirmed what others had said - photoshoot tickets will only be available on the day. Unless they change their mind in the next 2 and a half hours.

Probably not wishful thinking. Just incredibly unlikely. But happy for him to have Eleanor Tomlinson tag along if really wants to come :) How so? He's done a Showmasters event before and the Hobbit hasn't made him that famous yet. Oh I know he has done an event before. I just think he is currently working on something and is probably unavailable. I'd be happy to be wrong. Would be a good guest given his popularity increase after Poldark. Ah, well in that case :) I only ask because on such short notice he'd be quite a big addition. :) But yes, I did see he's done a SM event before and would love a chance to meet him as I've loved everything he's been in that I've seen (Being Human, Poldark, Desperate Romantics & The Hobbit). I don't imagine he'd be a very likely announcement any time soon as, like I say, it's quite late now and I believe he's busy with the Secret Scripture right now, but hey, if MJF could happen for LFCC, I can still hope. :) Would be a brilliant guest addition. Maybe we will all be surprised :)

The sports guests aren't there for the entire duration of both days though and as a few have said there needs to be a balance. If you are going to change the style of event then surely you would make that clearer to the fans of Collectormania MK. Not everyone is sports fans after all and there has always been a great following for the media guests as well. In recent years, some have even managed to get huge queues around the outside of the stadium. You don't neglect one event to favour another, especially if that event is one of your most popular. Don't get me wrong. There are people I am excited about meeting and I am happy to go with the current line up, even if no one else is added. It just seems to have less on offer this time around which, for those of us who love MK, is a bit disappointing,

I hadn't worked out the numbers but I did agree that it is far lower than last years list. The sports guests are far higher though so that may account for the drop in numbers. There's also a distinct lack of female guests this year I noticed. I am hoping for more guests myself but it is getting rather late on now. Fingers crossed for late announcements :)

Excellent guest. Lovely bloke. Met him last year. Has many fun stories about his time on Doctor Who and a 60s singer no less.

I only have a few people with possible extras to get so I should be okay.

Yeah temperature in the 20s again tomorrow. Could get very warm. Big fan myself. Never made it to a Friday so far. Might have to next time round.
