Something that needs us approval and is happening after the con, bearing in mind the 6 to 8 hour time difference with the us my guess is some sort of video link, poss with grrm? Otherwise why do it after the con?

Depends on what ur using to make u "pointy" I went as witchking of angmar last year but the points and spikes were foam and paper mache so it was fine

Yeah I saw a couple last year, there was also a guy doing a talk on steampunk. I've only recently got into steampunk but me and my wife r both going as steampunk sky pirates this year

Nah me and my wife are going as steampunk sky pirates, i'm also doing costumes for my brother and his girlfriend as denerys and rakharro from game of thrones

lol, cheers took me months to do all 4 costumes, ended up doing another 4 this year. I didn't go to the cosplay desk and nobody said anything, not sure if I should have though. look forward to seeing your costume

yeah it's the one shown in my profile pick, worked really well on the throne even though they're nothing to do with each other

Yeah wood is fine, I did 4 costumes last year and we went as a group, Gandalf with a wooden staff, Saruman with a plastic staff and the Witchking of Angmar and Frodo both with bamboo cored swords (foam covered) no issues. I think the ones you need to be careful of are metal swords etc. (which need to be peace bonded) and replica guns.

all sound good, I was the witchking of Angmar last year, did Frodo, Gandalf and Saruman for my friends. This year me and my wife are going as steam punk Sky Pirates (me with a steam powered arm) and I'm doing costumes for my brother and his girlfriend as Danerys and Rakharro (sp?) currently working on the dragon.
