I can't believe this!! One thing after another!!!!!! I was hoping to move the hotel to December so I don't loose my money as they said I can push the dates back. Can you tell me that if I push the dates back to april...will I be able to change it closer to the time again?! Will it be in the same hotel? Someone needs to help out the people that are being screwed over by this....doesn't matter who you booked through...massive events should be trying to help each and every single person out...this would be good customer service!!!!!! I work in sales and operations at a tv company and if we treated out clients like this we would be getting disiplinarys. You should be emailing each and every person and trying your best to find ways to assist us.

ME/SM aren't liable for money you've spent with/lost from someone else. They'll offer refunds on the event tickets but not on anything else. Even thou it is their fault....Even thou it is because they said it would not change which is why I got non refundable tickets! It's a joke...I'm not having a go at anyone but I just think it is absolutely ridiculous and they should fit the bill for their mistakes!

They can help people out with the money they have lost.

I booked to stay the park inn and i booked non cancellable as ME said the dates will not change. This is the only reason why I booked non refundable as I had faith it would happen.

Yes I think I might do the same Sarah. Seems like ME don't care at all about us. People have bought flights and hotels!!!! I hope the flights people bought weren't too expensive!!!! My sister works at the daily mail and usually any complaints I have always get posted. Therefore I will write to them as well. I'm not normally one to complain but I have lost out on well earned money. At least a weeks worth of pay...when you look at it like that...I think I am liable to kick up a fuss. I was going to book tickets for the Twilight convention and I know alot of my friends were going to as well. We definately wont be anymore and we will find another Twilight convention to attend which does not include Massive Events... I know everyone else on here will feel the same...and to be honest...alot of people are getting my back up by supporting Massive Events and sticking up for them!

I am considering writing to the local newspaper in Northampton about this now. Not happy at all.

I am fuming. Have called laterooms and hotel and they will not give me my money back. I have tried calling massive events and their lines are down due to refurbishment. MASSIVE EVENTS. WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP ME OUT?

No, but you had the choice. Pay more and be able to cancel or pay less and be unable to cancel. No one forced you. Ring up your hotel and explain, they may still refund the money. You won't know until you ask. Maybe some people don't have the luxury of being able to afford the extra....and you usually expect when an event as big as this is going on....it wont change...

This is the same for me....What a predicament ME have put us in....pretty sure they wont take the bill for it... I am going to try and call teh company...if not we will call credit card company and keep fingers crossed...not fair that we have been put to all this stress and worry over an event which has just been problematic from the beginning!

Also my friend can't attend on the friday night if its that weekend and I am pretty sure alot of other people wont be able to attend due to christmas arrangements....I know it is wrong for me to continue moaning after we have heard some news but it just isn't good enough! I am not happy about this and feeling very let down and upset.

Will it be held at same venue....I do not know if I should try and get my money back (Booked through late rooms and it is no refundable) Or if I can transfer the dates to that weekend? Thank you Katie

I don't think anyone has posted anything they have heard elsewhere? Apart from the hotel calling up people and people calling the hotel which in both cases have confirmed it is cancelled!

I am actually in shock now that there is no reply still!!! It's not even about the event as much now cos I pretty sure it won't be happening!!!! It's about awful customer service!! I feel completely lied to if I am honest!!!!! Even on the phone...I'm told give us 24 hours and we will definately have an update..that was Friday night!!!! WHAT IS GOING ON??????

I booked my hotel through laterooms and I just went I website to cancel and i paid £104 and it's saying its going to charge me £104 to cancel...I sure hope massive events are going to pay me back this money!

Like I said earlier I called the park inn and they confirmed it has been cancelled from the park inn (not the event but just that it won't be there anymore...) sooooo this is definitely the case but we haven't been told...worst organisation ever I want to go to the twilight conference but if it is going to be as badly organised as this one I will think differently!!!!

Totally agreeing with lady_t on this...I haven't been able to enjoy my weekend cos I feel let down by massive events!!!! I know that sounds rediculous but I'm such a huge fan and I have been so excited for this...to be let down would be awful...

I think that's what we're waiting on hearing...been promises news tonight but who knows...keeping getting made promises and nothing comes of it

I called massive events last night as well....they said that things have changed (which we know anyway) pretty much 100% sure it's not at that hotel anymore from what the guy said...he was really nice thou and said give them 24 hours so fingers crossed it is actually 24 hours n we hear from them this evening!! X

I predict it's getting moved...I called hotel n it's defo been cancelled...because its so close to the premier in NZ I am guessing they will move it to next year so that more guests can attend which is great but people will miss out because it will likely be on a date where some people can't attend...I am hoping this wont be the case for me!! :-( only my prediction thou!!! Fingers crossed for more news tomorrow! Keep in touch guys! Hopefully we will all see each other soon!!!! X

Yes not happy with this at all. I am booked into the park inn hotel but have done it through laterooms when I booked it said non refundable and non cancellable. I am guessing I will not be able to get my money back and I paid more to be booked into the park inn... Not a happy bunny. Any information would be welcomed right now. Thanks

This is getting silly...I have booked to stay in the park Inn Hotel....People need to know what is going on as to how they change their own plans. I have booked the friday off work for this also...they will need to know what I am doing and I will need to get a refund on the hotel if this convention is not on anymore... Pleaseeee let us know about any news as the dates are drawing closer and closer and I am getting very excited but not knowing what is going on is making me feel anxious! Thanks Katie xxx
