Sorry if i have given a novice approach to the forum. I totally understand and agree with your points. I am new to conventions and from my very limited knolege, i think DSTL will be a very big Con compared to most future UK ones i will go to. I only wonder if there will be a Star Wars convention of this magnitude in the UK. Not that this is a reason for SW fans to gate crash a ST convention. I will be wearing a ST tee and i may buy a uniform wile I'm there. Live Long And... May The Force Be With You

The only reason I was wondering. DSTL will be my 1st convention, so to get an idea of what to expect, I typed into google image "star trek convention" and came across this image on a Trek fan page

Hi All, Was just wondering if anyone knows, will there be any Star Wars fans representing at DSTL? I would love to see a Storm Trooper costume parade. I know of a few fan groups in the UK that jump at any chance to get suited and booted and as Star Wars greatest rival is of course Star Trek, I live in hope that the two franchises will collide in an epic hypothetical battle!

Thanks for getting back to me. I have been to the Waterstones site before and although they are a good source, I find them a tad limited only to authors associated to the company. What I was really hoping for is an unaffiliated "one stop shop" website that covers all authors such as JK Rowling, Philip Pullman, Stephen Baxter and Orson Scott Card to name just a few. Oh well, I shall keep searching..... or maybe this is my opportunity to create a website of my own... Now all I need is a brain

I would love to go to this Con, it sounds great. I will keep checking this forum for ticket updates and I have "liked" the Kurtz Joiner Archive facebook page. Are these the best ways to find out about tickets, cost, guests, ect? The DSTL Con in a couple of weeks will be my 1st convention. If Elstree Empire Day could be my 2nd that would be fantastic so I would hate to miss out.

Me and my wife too are coming only on Sunday. It is a part of our honeymoon. Later the coming week we will be visiting the WB Tour of Harry Potter in Watford, that was my wife's choice, but I have to say I look forward to that too. What an amazing honeymoon.
