I've decided to get in early with a plan for a cosplay meet. All those of you who have cosplayed or want to cosplay Deadpool, Let us all do so together and create a pool of deadpools. As this is frickin' ages away, nothing is set in stone, but y'know, thought I'd get in early with planning etc.

So I was thinking, I kinda wanna put together an original enterprise crew for a cosplay meet up. Dibs On Kirk. And I thought that it might be an idea to ask around on these forums as opposed to my lame, uncool non-cosplayer friends.
So yeah, essentially Want to put together a crew of Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, Uhuru, Chekov, Sulu and Ensign Ricky. Cuz we need a redshirt, it's gonna be dangerous! Btw, I am not picky about anything other than, We are look for TOS cosplay, therefore if you rock up in a modern iteration of a TOS costume, I will stare at you, harshly and creepily.
Aside from that, age, height, weight, gender, race etc isn't a thing, To be honest I just wanna meet new people with Star Trek costumes and make friends.
Oh, Cuz the small print may be unclear to those with sight problems:

I think you should really invite Brent Spiner. If you celebrate The Next Generation he just needs to be there. And he is a great guest, of course. Brent's talks are priceless. Brent and Jonathan Frakes together bring the house down. I saw them in Chicago.
Dude, If Patrick Stewart is there, there is a chance he will do what he usually does and gatecrash the middle of Stewarts Talks.

Hey guys, and Gals, and others.
Um.... First time long time? I go to these events a lot, but I never really socialise with more than I dunno, two people at a time, so I have never been on this site before, first post etc; Be gentle: it's my first time.
So yeah, I had an Idea for an informal event we could do at DST if people are up for it. Remember all those Cringe worthy bar-room brawls that popped up every now and then in the Original series of star trek? The Shatnerian style of fighting that taught a generation of children how to double fist punch? Lets do that, record it, and put it on teh internets!
Not for realsies of course, part of the humour would be how fake it would be (Another part being the inclusion of the battle theme from "Amok Time" in the video, y'know, da da daa da da da da da dadada daaa!) and I thought it'd be a fun idea to stage a bar-room brawl between Non-federation aliens and starfleet officers. I'm sure some of you guys are cosplaying (I'm doing Shatners Kirk), and I thought it'd be a fun thing to do and put on the internet. Obviously we'd have to get permission, but if possible, Anyone interested in partaking? If so, do a comment and if there's a reasonable response, I'll find someone officious and ask them "Scuse me, could we start a fight somewhere?" and Hopefully we'll be allowed to. Be a bold new way to meet new people, and I'd be able to say I got a black eye from a romulan.
