Any photos ?I'm lucky enough to have a large man cave for my signed posters, comics and movie collectables. I love spending time in there looking at my stuff and it's a great escape from the missus too.
Here you go. A lot of my stuff is in folders and stored away, but the room is a great place to chill out, watch a film or read some comics. I have a four year old boy and he loves it in there. My biggest challenge is stopping him from opening the action figures that are still boxed!

I've never bought an auto from a dealer or online. I'm sure most of them are legit, but unless it's signed right in front of me, I'm not interested. I saw dealers selling MJ Fox autos for £200, but I'd rather pay £445 and have it signed in front of me.

I was queuing on Friday for three hours and German lady next to me and my six year old nephew was chain smoking the entire time. It was so gross. She must have had five bottles of beer too and it was only 10am.

I got Christopher Lloyd on Friday without a diamond pass. My VQ ticket was 39 and I saw him pretty early on. I don't think this would have been the case on Saturday or Sunday.

Can anyone help? I'm trying to upload some pics of my signed stuff, but it's not working. I've set up a photobucket account and uploaded the pics there first. I've clicked on the green image icon and pasted in the URL, but it's not working. Are there any other methods I could try? Thanks in advance.
Use the image code in photobucket (copy the image code) and paste it directly...you don't have to click any green image icons.
I'll give it a go. Thanks so much!

I LOVE the Hill Valley poster. I was thinking about going for this myself, but went for the standard movie poster. This is awesome!

Yeah, although very busy and very hot, I also want to thank showmasters for a great weekend. Thanks to them, I've now fulfilled my dream of meeting my childhood hero Michael J Fox. I have a BTTF poster signed by Michael and the other ten cast member and also a photo with Michael and the Delorean. An absolute dream come true and these will take pride and place in my home.

My brother and I walked in on Saturday and about 11am and nobody asked to see our tickets. I did tell a member of the showmasters crew, as I was concerned the capacity would reach dangerous levels if people were getting in without tickets.
-
My brother and I arrived yesterday morning and no-one asked to see at our entry tickets, so we just walked straight in. I told a crew member i was concerned, particularly as it was already extremely busy inside.

I had a great day and managed to get my BBTF poster signed by all the cast including MJ Fox. It looks amazing!!

It's extremely irritating and very rude when people queue jump. I arrived very early this morning after a VERY early start from Wales. I arrived at 945 and was near the front with my brother. A bloke arrived at 1235 and sneaked in. I told one of the staff and he got moved, but not before threatening to punch my face in. I had a great day though.

Two points before this year's event.
Entry
Last year I, like many others, queued from 7am to get into the venue as early as possible. There were people were arriving at 9am and casually walking/sneaking in with the rest of us. This is very irritating and should be stopped this year if possible. Sometimes I don't know why I bother leaving Cardiff at 4am, when I see what other people do to get in.
VQ tickets
Can the volunteers/staff being handed the tickets at the autograph queue, please check the numbers on them. I had a VQ ticket of under 20 for a big guest last year and two girls in front of me had ticket numbers over 400 and were allowed right through to get their autos.
That's it.

I've had to be slightly restrained, because I've bought and renovated a house in the past 12 months, which has left me a bit short of cash.
This con is all about BTTF for me.
Diamond pass for MJ Fox.
Delorean shoot
Autos from every BTTF cast member on my poster
+travel and hotel.
Can't wait!

I've been carrying a LOTR canvas around cons for the past 5 years. It's already stretched onto the frame. It's a dark coloured image and I always get it signed with a silver sharpie. Signers have always found it easy to write on and it still looks great. It's a bit of a pain to carry around, but it's worth it. You'll be fine.

I've read his three books and have two on audio also. They're great to have on in the car and they're read by Michael himself. Lucky Man is my favourite. A must read!

It was good meeting you last time you were over and I've got more BTTF stuff for you to sign! Looking forward to chatting again.

Thank you SM for making my life complete!!! This really is the best announcement in all the years I've attended events.
I was lucky enough to meet Michael briefly at a taping of Spin City in 1999. He signed a BTTF item for me and personalised it, which was an amazing moment for me in my very early 20s. The item is still framed and on my wall in the house. I'm so pleased I can have another chance to meet my childhood hero.
The diamond pass is worth every penny.
Is there any chance you were at Collectormania MK in 2008? I queued for a photo with Lea Thompson with a lady who has a very similar story to yours!
Hi there. That's really interesting. No, I didn't go to CMK in 2008.
It was a great experience going to the taping in New York. Michael came up to the audience for several minutes during the break. He was really chatty and funny too. I didn't get the chance to have a photo taken with him, but getting the personalised auto was really special. I met a few other members of the cast, once the rest of the audience had left. Barry Bostwick was also really nice and happy to chat for a while.

Well done Showmasters for securing this guest but I'm very disappointed that the initial announcement was a bit misleading. MJF was the first name that came to my mind but the line that stated it wasn't going to be who we all thought made me dream bigger!
The photo ops are a reasonable price I'd say but the HUGE £445 price tag for the chance of an autograph is a bit rich for most people. Makes me worry for the future as bigger guests are booked, is the sky the limit when it comes to putting a price on meeting them?
I guess it's only worth what we are willing to pay but for some people it's not a case of willing, it's a case of having the money. For me, meeting someone like Sigourney Weaver would be worth £445 plus, but I couldn't get that sort of cash together in 7 days, especially not before pay day!
Hope everyone who was in, got!
Understandable that the price would be limiting for some, but the £445 is for so much more than just an autograph. If you go back to the first post, there are lots of things tied in with it over the weekend that, I think, definitely make it worth the cost. Just wish I could have managed to get one!
When I go to the supermarket and buy my weekly shopping and I see the sign "buy 3 for the price of 2" I end up coming home with 3 of everything and really I only wanted 1! What I'm trying to say is that for the £445 you're not really getting 'so much more than the autograph'; it is basically the cost of the photo with & autograph to a large extent. You can understand why SM have packaged it this way though as I'm sure MJF must be limited in the number of autographs he could do over the course of a few days. I ended up buying the diamond pass and much like my weekly shopping I'll end up with things I don't want but I will be pleased to meet MJF.
The prices of packages to meet guests at events (not specifically SM) has gone stratospheric and therefore because of the inflated cost of Stallone, Pacino & Schwarzenegger to name a few I've seen at various 'events' it would be easy to convince yourself that you're getting a comparative good deal with MJF. However even taking the MJF cost on its own terms I think what Jason and SM have done there is still actually relatively fair. ~£95 is bordering on too expensive for a photo with but I think it is still fair. ~£345 (£445 less the photo with cost, lets forget about the other added extras) is very expensive for an autograph, I'd say far too expensive but I am assuming it has been packaged this way as MJF is limited to the number of autographs he is able to do because of his illness whereas the photos with are a much less demanding activity for him.
I do think that Jason and the SM team should be applauded for what they've done with the event for 2015 and the guests especially MJF. I just hope that we don't see e.g. Stallone et al. at the LFCC in the future in a secluded room charging ~£200 for a photo with and ~£1,000 for a diamond package that gives you photo with, autograph and a lot of other nonsense that nobody really cares for. Jason mentioned 'fair' in his initial big guest announcement post and I think they've done that with MJF, I just hope going forward that continues to be the case.
I agree. The diamond package includes things I wouldn't have got anyway and then I had to buy the Delorean photo shoot too. I have essentially paid the full cost of the Diamond package just for the autograph. My dream is to have a BTTF movie poster signed and framed in my living room. That to me is worth the total cost of the Diamond package, so I'm happy.

Photoshoot Jpeg Download quality Question? How small?

My photo with Michael and the Delorean looks fine, but when I had my picture taken alone with the Delorean, it was soft. I pointed this out to the crew member who showed it to the photographer who stated 'It's only a little out of focus'. I'm sorry, but out of focus is out of focus, whether it's a little or a lot. I did get another photo taken, which was considerably better.
I'm going to get my MJ Fox Delorean pic enlarged to canvas. It is a shame it's not higher res, but photobox seems to think a reasonably large canvas print will be good enough quality. I hope so.
