  1. This was my first LFCC in four years. Thought the venue seemed a lot more spacious than other shows I've been to which was a huge plus. the range of guests were great as expected. there were fewer comic stalls than i expected but i still managed to spend every penny i had. i arrived at 10am Saturday thanks to traffic delays and had no problem with the queue, though the option to pay by card for entry would have been handy. i didn't go to any talks or photoshoots so can't comment on them. the queue to get tickets for them and credit vouchers for autos was a shambles though. i joined the queue i needed as every one had different signs, watched every other one move quicker then was told all queues do the same thing. would it be a sensible idea to just have one long concertina'd queue to keep things simpler? Really that was my only gripe of the day, other then maybe Thomas Dekker being too pretty and making the rest of us guys look bad by comparison.

  2. This was my first LFCC in four years. i thought the venue was great and loved the wider aisles between stalls than you usually find, made everything much more relaxed and less claustrophobic. all the guests i met were wonderful and happy to chat for a couple of minutes, no one made me feel rushed.

Sincere thanks to all the crew, without exception everyone i spoke to was polite and helpful no matter how stressed they probably were at times.

  3. Christopher Lloyd - GREAT SCOTT (how many times has that been said on this forum)

John Landis - American Werewolf and Blues Brothers - ace!

Jason Mewes - I had a slight crush on him 10 years ago, and it'll make all my frienda jelous

As much as I'd like to meet Patrick Stewart I'm not a massive Star Trek fan, I'd just want him to talk dirty to me...in that voice.

BRIAN BLESSED IS THE FUNNEST PERSON EVER worked with him at another con, needed gallons of espresso just to keep up with him

  4. I'm so glad no one said 'gold pass' I'd have to slap them to death with their own ticket in a jelous rage!

Along with most others I've gone for Christopher Lloyd - on a serious budget so having to toss a coin over getting John Hurt and Jason Mewes - one would have prestige (a nice Elephant man shot) but the other would make my friends green with envy, though sadly stopping just short of turning into Ed Norton

Bollox - forgot about John Landis - there goes dinner Saturday night!

Patrick Stewart (surprised i'm first to vote him)

    John Landis

    John Hurt

    Pete Postelwaite

    Charles Dance

you're not submitting to C. Lloyd mania!

if you're getting in early you wouldn't mind picking up a ticket for me then.

There's a pint in it for you, or a pretty lady, which would you prefer?

  5. because I'm feeling guilty about how much I'm spending.

I know this question has been asked before but that was for hotels, transport and everything.

first time I've set up a poll.

How come I don't get to vote?

I would have gone for £101-£150

I'm quite new here, hi everyone

I'm p*ssing myself with excitement over this event

  6. Even my mum wants to go because she's heard of people who are at this show.

Now that's an indication of when we ought to know we have a "BIG" guest.

though when I told her £15 was the going rate for an average autograph she started going on about how much it used to cost to feed a family...how much her first house cost...I lost intrest and began teasing her about "being able to leave your front door unlocked"

Unwise after she's had two G&Ts

  7. I've been to quite a lot of Showmasters events but never got many autographs.

I have worked for the opposition in the past and tended to get photos from the people I had a laugh with, rather than those I was a fan of. It was always more a memento of the weekend and people would write more personal things on the pics.

At this con however I've got a pretty big shopping list, and the big names I'll ask for just sigs, not dedications...hoping ebay will still be running in 30 years time.

Sorry, just realised we're talking about character names, not dedications.

I don't like them on 8 by 10s, on bigger things yes if they're multi-signed. You need to know who is who but you don't want things too cluttered - and also you sometimes don't know who else will end up signing it. I'm dreading the day my LOTR print is covered with various Sharpie Scribbles and Ian McKellan is announced (I can dream)

  8. I'm waiting for announcements on Harrison Ford, Jack Nicholson and George Lucas.

It's a very poor lineup so far - who hasn't met Christopher Lloyd, and John Hurt... whats he been in?

Kidding - I'm P*ssing myself with excitement...and wories about the overdraft!

Even my mum wants to go because she's heard of people who are at this show. Bless her.

  9.

I've done worse with guests - I told George Romero to NOT write "Stay Scared!" on my LOTD print. He said, "But then what can I write???" I told him to write the first thing that comes to mind when he thinks about the making of the film. He wrote: "Nicky, we'll never pull this fu_cking thing off!".

    thats fantastic.
